Blaze has a 3 note register, fake vibrato, and rarely EVER sings in tune. That being said, I really enjoyed some of Blaze’s vocal work (lord of the flies, man on the edge, the educated fool, como estais amigos, futureal). I just think that Blaze’s very deep and mediocre voice was not a great choice to replace Paul and Bruce 🤷♂️.

In fact, this song was written to be sang by Blaze, but Bruce performed it later for BNW.

Dream of mirrors lyrics vocal melody was by blaze music was by Steve and they yanked Blazes name off the writing credits it's a shame
_No More Lies_ was supposed to be on _Virtual XI_ as well. There was a total of 4 more tracks that were supposed to be on _Virtual XI_ but were put in the later albums. I believe those tracks were _The Nomad_, _Dream of Mirrors_ and _The Mercenary_ along with _No More Lies_
No more lies would make a lot of sense on Virtual XI

I want to hear Blaze sing the entirety of Brave New World after hearing this. I want to hear the alternate universe Iron Maiden where Bruce never returned! I love Bruce, of course, but I'm just curious to hear it. Blaze's voice sounds so fantastic on this!

Blaze sounds better than ever and sings this perfectly. I even prefer this to the Iron Maiden album version. And Thomas' playing is sublime and sounds so warm!

I never knew that this existed until just five minutes ago!!! I immediately clicked on this video when I saw it said Blood Brothers with Blaze Bayley. I have always loved Blaze Bayley's singing big time when I first heard it on Iron Maiden's The X Factor. Iron Maiden is and has been my all time favorite band ever for over thirty five years. The X Factor is one of my favorite Iron Maiden albums, and I still listen to it very often. I was 16 years old when The X Factor album came out , and I remember I was very anxious to listen to it since Iron Maiden had a new lead singer. I was very happy when I first listened to it because it was amazing. Iron Maiden at that time really needed a change after the two albums No Prayer For The Dying and especially Fear Of The Dark. Fear Of The Dark album is my least favorite Iron Maiden album, and I only like about five songs off of it. In my opinion The X Factor and Virtual 11 are way better albums and I know that I am in the minority. Blaze did a phenomenal job on this song, and he did a phenomenal job in his time when he was in Iron Maiden. I actually love all his solo albums that came out after Iron Maiden even more than the two Iron Maiden albums that Blaze did. His singing really is better than ever.

The Live at Rio version of the song makes me want to dance and scream at the top of my lungs.
This version makes me want to sit, listen and cry.

Now that I've heard this it really interests me in Blaze's other work, the guy has a great voice.
Blaze was with MAIDEN and did an awesome job. Opinions vary but when MASTER BRUCE AND THE CREW STILL DO HIS SONGS LIVE ITS THE ULTIMATE COMPLIMENT AND TRIBUTE!!! Blaze thank you for ALOT of awesome songs and memories along with the music!!!

Blaze back in the 90's I felt it was a dark time for Iron Maiden. I even stopped listening. A few decades later I can truly appreciate the time you were in Iron Maiden and would like to say thank you for the time and effort you put in while you were in the band. And wish you all the best with what you are doing now cause it is truly awesome !!!

Have returned to this many times. Such a pretty rendition of this amazing song. Beautiful nylon guitar playing and the downright incredible vocals from the criminally underappreciated Blaze Bayley.
I'm not bashing Bruce Dickinson. I love Maiden with all 3 of their singers and think they all do their own songs best. But I have to admit I've always thought most of Brave New World would sound better with Blaze, especially this song. I feel I have been proven right in this instance.

Having come back to this version of Blood Brothers (and having bought this and several TZ albums along the way), I've come to realize that in the time since I discovered it, this has become my favorite version of the song. The Iron Maiden version is of course fantastic, but this more "stripped down" version with only Thomas' guitar and Blaze's voice just resonates with me.
I absolutelylove this performance, Blaze has a voice and a way of singing that really has grown on me over the years. And he is such a nice and down to earth bloke. Keep up the amazing work!
