Short TOM, medium CAAT, Long Divorce. You, my friend, are brilliant. I just purchased your book. We all appreciate the time you have put into doing this; into making the future of medicine better for all of us.
Appreciate Video! Sorry for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you heard about - Peyadison Initial Principality (do a search on google)? It is a good one off guide for discovering how to get rid of depression minus the headache. Ive heard some great things about it and my work colleague got excellent success with it.
Your videos are so well made and so concise and has taught me so much than my lecturers and textbooks ! So much practical information as well. Thank you !
This is by far the best video lecture seen I’ve come across so far. Great visuals, memorable mneumonics, and a quality voice over. Thank you so much for posting these!
I presented a brief presentation on mood stabilizers based on your video in my psychiatry round! Everybody thanked me for the presentation. It's solid, interesting and informative. Thanks Jonathan for the great video. DO MORE PLEASE!
I am an avid #MentalHealthAwareness advocate and performer, and I love this so much. I travel the country trying to bring that awareness on stages, in classrooms, hospitals, and on my RUclips channel, so I get excited when I see other advocates. 💙❤
LIVER IS BEING SERVED FOR DINNER SOUNDS LIKE HANNIBAL LECTER TO ME ❤😂😅 😂HEPATIC NECROSIS : VAPROIC ACID , ACETAMINOPHEN AND HALOTHANE I LOVE THE CHANNEL !
Thank you. Really. Eat whole food plant based vegan give up processed foods sugar high salt and fat Meditate, exercise, be kind and productive bToo many drugs.
None of them actually! Neither gabapentin nor pregabalin show much efficacy as mood stabilizers. They are primarily used in psychiatry as off-label anxiolytics.
Etizolam needs to be investigated and approved by the FDA. Intas Pharm. makes it and it's been prescribed in India and Japan for decades! It acts like a benzodiazepine but is peculiarly anti-tachyphylaxis in it's own way.
I don’t think that such high blood levels are needed for a sustained therapeutic effect. I got relief with a blood level of 0.3 mmols/litre. That was with a daily dose 450mg of Lithium carbonate. Even at that dose i had a dramatic increase in thirst, polyuria, slight hand tremor, significant Gastro intestinal upset; occasional throwing up and unfortunate diarrhoea. It attenuated amphetamine, gave a sense of peace, enabled superior sleep ability. I stopped because the blood tests were costing $150 a piece.
Is there a pneumonic to classify barbiturates based on duration of action start from ultra short??? Please help me. I’m having a lot of trouble keeping that in my head
Balentin Camargo because there are side effects to meds. it fixes one thing but gives sm more problems. imagine just being yourself and the world wanting to change you. shame on the world.
Good point! I can't add anything to a RUclips video once it's been uploaded, but a section on carbamazepine and Asian patients has been added to the Mood Stabilizers chapter of the book.
Very useful. Can I request you to speak slower and in a more clearly tone? It's hard to follow what you are saying for a person who speaks English as second language
The young woman that you used to illustrate a concept was a Miss USA not a Miss America contestant. Irregardless, if you are going to use the humiliation of a young woman for teaching purposes, you may wish to find an example that does not perpetuate the stereotypes of physical attractiveness and intelligence as this could contribute to misdiagnosis.

when you say "high yield" - are these the pearls that typically should be known for clinical practice/on boards?
What you can do to differentiate bipolar from other mood disorders and borderline is that the mood swings causes changes in energy levels
Which is which
Thank you so much

That's mean 7up can be a small mood stabilizer or what,I need some of those, something I can find it myself.
Are any/all gabapentinoids under the mood stabilizer class? Like Phenibut, Baclofen, GHB?
None of them actually! Neither gabapentin nor pregabalin show much efficacy as mood stabilizers. They are primarily used in psychiatry as off-label anxiolytics.

One thing might have been good to add is Tegretol use and Asians.

Did you edit this video? Last time I remembered you put a picture of Tom Cruise. 🤔

Irregardless? Really?
I think your descriptions and help to remember is excellent. Humiliating that woman in an truly unrelated way is disgraceful.
I think your example was perfect to helping me remember aide effects. Thank you
