Honestly, aside from Strange and Killer Moth The Caped Crusader missed such an opportunity to revive real classic Batman villains. I mean sure, the Cavalier is now popular because of Brave and Bold, but he quite a dangerous adversary for Batman in the Golden Age and since they touched the mystic themes it would've been great to have Mad Monk, probably the most mysterious 40's Batman villian. Not to mention, it's such a shame nobody would bring up Doctor Death who was literally the first ever Batman villian and who fits the classic Batman stories perfectly. After all, they're much more fitting choices than Harley Quinn which definitely should be put to rest for now considering how much content she got lately.
I mean, the race and gender swap wasn't a problem for me because this is set in the 40s where prejudice things happen, so they probably wanted to include certain types of groups to be fair.
This is not unusual for timm i mean hes the reason we never got a wonder women animated series because he didnt like her as character imagin dcau wonder women series
