      Yeah your spot on John. I thought it was going to be something different at first because that first run was so long, but after a while i knew that weigh felt like a ray. As you said it was a great session and we still managed plenty of memorable fish. Thanks John

    Ray: "That's a nope from me!"

    Thanks again for the tip about the gloves too, they're really great!

    I am also using this type of fishing reel. How do you feel about the Sw saragosa 8000hg reel? Adding a fishing reel 6000 is better?A wonderful fishing trip.

    • @fishingmad
      @fishingmad  3 года назад +1

      I really rate the Saragosa SW reels. Great value and performce. I have a 6000 and 8000. I use the 6000 mainly for targeting snapper and the 8000 for targeting gummy sharks and king fish. Hope that helps

    Good knot testers those suction plugs haha still a ripper session on the flats, everything fights so well when your in so shallow 😁 there's definitely big toothies that roam the area as well 🤙 keep up the awesome content, hopefully more awesome westernport fishing too haha 😅

    • @fishingmad
      @fishingmad  3 года назад +1

      Thanks !!! That's really appreciated. Yeah your 100% right everything feels big when your fishing those shallow areas. It was a shame about the Ray but overall we caught some pretty memorable fish and the squid in the previous vid there were epic. ill be heading back up that way in a couple of weeks. I'm determined to try and land that big toothy or gummy. You blokes have some great fishing up that way thats for sure.

    • @ChasingFish
      @ChasingFish 3 года назад +1

      @@fishingmad those squid where so good ripper average size thats for sure. You guys smashed the elephants haha so many and really good sized ones, got me keen to go for em again since last couple years had been trying to avoid them haha
      Is a pretty awesome place to fish with how much life cruises through on the strong tides in barely any water. You'll encounter a toothy in no time with those fresh baits thats for sure 👌 staying connected is another thing 😅 I'm not good at that part since usually bi catch for me haha

      @fishingmad  3 года назад

      Thanks Bud. I love the Saragosa. The drag sound on it is amazing. Its a tad heavy at times but it handled every fish with ease. very happy with the purchase. I cant stress how nice the drag sound is when you catch something.
