I played with the 16L version of this in my Pro Staff 97L (weighted up to 329 g) and I found the same thing about lack of bite. It’s good feeling and has good comfort but not biting the ball. I like the control and feel, it’s a good string. Not world changing or standout. And the shaped profile isn’t very pronounced. I may continue to use it b/c I hit some spin but not a lot and have enjoyed the feel so far.
This is definitely a great string. I went from a Polytour Pro in 16L in my HD and noticed a huge difference in spin. My hitting partners mentioned that the balls were coming in hard and heavy. There was a lot more shape on my strokes especially with the kick serve 🤯. I did have to drop tension from 50 to 45 though since it is a lot more firm.
Seems like a hybrid is the way with this string. The slippery ones I believe are designed to maximize string movement and snap-back, rather than bite. I recently tried Wilson Duo Spin (Revolve & Sensation, with a coating on both as well) and even with the multi in the mains the spin is incredible, which I believe is because the multi can slide and snapback easily. This PolyTour Rev probably works well hybrided with Rexis or a coated multi.
I judge the spin differently. The term “bite” might not be accurate, since the edges are not clearly defined. I think the main spin feature is the silicone infused technology, which makes the string snap back more easily. It reminds me of the RPM blast in that regard. However, I got to admit that the control is not that good for flat shots, especially in low twist weight racquets, if you do not find the middle of the racquet. I strung it at 22/21kg, I might recommend going slightly up.
Played this string in 1.25 on my RS300, does not really bite the ball and is difficult to control when it is new mainly because of the stiffness and the slippery coating, after 5-6 hours of play when the coating is gone the string feels really good.
Sounds like Yonex Poly Tour Fire. I like that string a lot, but it seems like they don't produce it any more. Very good control, soft on the arm, little spin and power. Good for coaches :)

Hey. Did you feel any arm/elbow pain/tenderness with this string on the ezone tour? I'm experiencing some issues with some times where I can't fully extend my arm. What string would you recommend on it or should I just give my arm a rest and get either a clash pro or a 98? Many thanks!
I think the issue is the Ezone Tour. Despite the listed RA of 62, it's a stiff racquet. The Clash Pro was a savior for me...I tried different strings and tensions, but it didn't show the arm issue with the Ezone Tour...
@@Tennisnerd i used Yonex ptp in crosses at 40pounds 1.20mm with a multi in mains... works great for control n spin and easy on arm...try it and you won't go back
No, I had to drop that one due to the stiffness. Right now I feel most at home with either the Clash Tour or the HEAD Pro Tour. One is easy to use and arm-friendly, the other one is a fantastic racquet when you are on your game. Finding something in the middle is perhaps the best solution!
I think he’s been having arm pain. So, that’s one thing. Also, It’s probably most like his beloved Soft Drive. Super easy to use. Good power and spin. Decent control. Very stable. It’s a great racquet for anyone.

It's not the perfect racquet for me, but I have been struggling a bit with my arm with all the testing I'm doing (new racquet, new strings, different tensions) so for a while I might need something extremely comfortable...

Dunlop Black Widow offers very good spin and is arm friendly for a poly.

So, not good for flat hitters or rackets with tight string beds or high tension. The silicon is probably softening up the feel on the arm.
On the contrary, I prefer this in my 97D (at 26-27 kg) to the AluPower. It gives a little less power but more feed back and control.

If you don’t have any arm concerns - the Ezone Tour. Otherwise the 97HD.

Jonas I'm hitting the 360+ Speed MP with Confidential 18g hybrided with Wilson Sensation. I can hit this racquet for hours! Zero arm issues/fatigue
@@K4R3N Yes, that is a comfortable racquet too. Today I hit the VCORE 95 (2019) with a poly for 90 min and no issues.
