- In this video, I trailered my Sea Hunt BX 22 BR from Tampa Bay, Florida down to Key West to go summer offshore fishing for mahi-mahi! Went spent 3 mornings trolling lures in 350-700 feet of water targeting floating weed lines to catch these fish. At the end, I also show you how to fillet and clean a mahi.

catching mahi on the spinning reel much more fun? the conventional gear is so cumbersome, no? cool episode !!!
It would have been a blast catching those fish on 4000 size spinning reels! But you never know when a bigger mahi or a wahoo will bite while trolling out there so we like to be prepared if that happens

Took a little time off on videos trying to get caught back up I watched a video when you bought your 2019 Sea hunt is this the same boat because I thought your t- top was not black powder coated

Leave the lines in the water. You only need to bring them all in if youre expecting a ling fight or there are tangles. You're wasting a lot of time and effert pulling in and resetting your line every single time.

I think conventional gear is overkill for these small mahi. It would be much more fun on a 4000-5000 nice spinning reel!😎. Just my opinion
I agree. But there is always the possibility of hooking a bigger mahi or a wahoo while trolling out there. Also gotta be prepared for the big ones
@@SeeYaDude The "pitch" rods were handy. Its amazing when the mahi fight each other to get to your lure.
