I just got my hands on this model. The quality of build / finish is stunning. Still getting used to it and doing minor tweeks to the setup, but its toneful, sensitive , and super resonant. I like it a lot. It has more bling than any other guitar - ever. The TV Jones Filtertrons are excellent, I.d rate these over modern PAF humbuckers, the filtertrons are bright and shimmering , but not thin sounding . Only gripe is the Dot markers on the neck get a bit lost in the gold glitter at times - first world problem I know.
@Zodiac Gallery i ended up buying it for a great price. I think i paid $3k Canadian, and it's mint. Absolutely love the guitar. Those pickups are some of the cleanest, most articulate that Ive ever played.
@Zodiac Gallery yeah, definitely. It's a different guitar from an LP. It sounds more like an ES. It has great dirty tones when you want, but the clean is where it really shines.
they record these videos once a month and rather than post 50 videos at once they trickle out a few at a time; meanwhile the guitars are on the shop floor and might sell before the video gets posted. the website is updated almost every day, and most of the guitars Greg never even sees. they seem to move a shit-ton of high priced guitars over there.
@@nickschultz3259 hell yesss....I probably bought 5 awesome guitars over the years from Wilwood...amazing service and their selection is top choice!!!!
Brother, this beautiful guitar is a rockabilly icon and you didn't play no rockabilly at all. I think you just disrespected that Gretsch and must make amends. C'mon, man, this is similar to the Flat Duo Jet ... Cliff Gallup, et al. Jeff Beck played that for his incredible rockabilly album. And you're playing all this fuzz stuff. Try some slap echo instead please.
"peck you into a bookend" that's just bloody hilarious. Thanks Greg hahaha
Holy Gretsch guitars, Batman! There's a Penguin on the loose.
The greatest guitar pitch man to have ever warmed a penguin egg.
Lololol cool
God damn you can play holy shit. I gotta be honest when I see a new video I stop everything I’m doing to hear you do your thing.
Great playing as always, did i hear a bit of 'Bell boy' from Quadrophenia?
I had a dream last night that I had forgotten more on the guitar than Gregory will ever know! 🎸🙀
You just blew my mind!

@@RByrne I'm weighing it against a few Les Pauls. Long term keeper?

Koch & Gretsch know how to get the party started don't they? Damn.
whats the first tune he plays ?
How fast after you post these videos do they sell out?

I'll take it.
Chilly Willy. Almost makes me want to go back to smoking Kool cigarettes. The ‘50’s rule.
I guess that tone selector switch doesn't do much since he bothered not to demo it. :-(
I have to quote mr. Gregory kochery here.
"Pauns in Penguin sauns, what ??? "
Recommendation of the day
Helge Schneider -- Yes No Song.
Enjoy
On guitar:
Sandro Giampietro
I must confess that i'm a wildwoodler : --)
Just like they said in The Blues Brothers (1981): it’s time to see the penguin.
fleetwood mac?

remove distorsion please
Everyone plays these clean. Id like to hear how it handles Distortion and fuzz.
Great guitarist very unprofessional presentation of the guitar
