  • When you create the Best-Selling Car in America for the last 15 years, you must not miss your target when it comes to a full and complete redesign! Toyota is putting all it's creative effort to give you the best car ever with the new 2018 Toyota Carmy!
The new Toyota Camry offers features like:
    • New Gas and Hybrid Powertrains Generate More Horsepower and Class-Leading Estimated MPG
    • Standard Toyota Safety Sense-P
    • New Emotionally-Charged Design and Performance Experience
    • Aggressive Exterior Character Lines and Low Center of Gravity
The new Camry utilizes TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture), which represents a completely new strategy to the way the company designs, engineers, and packages its vehicles. Along with the new platform, an all-new 2.5-liter four-cylinder Dynamic Force Engine, new Direct Shift-8AT eight-speed automatic transmission and a new double-wishbone rear suspension design are all representative technologies that have evolved through TNGA.
Sold in more than 100 countries, the Toyota Camry is the segment leader in many global markets where it is available. Introduced in Japan in 1982, the Camry was Toyota’s first mass-produced vehicle with a transverse engine layout.

I have a 19’ se with the 2.5 and I’m loving it, I know it may not be the fastest in its class but I don’t really care it’s got plenty enough power for me and goes faster than I’ll probably ever push it. Love the body style, roomy interior, and smooth ride.

A turbo engine is more likely to experience failure than a naturally aspirated engine, all other things being equal. This is why Toyota is still #1 in reliability, they won't put in tech until they are 100% sure that it'll be reliable.

My old Cadillac Deville is in the shop. The rental car agency gave me a Toyota Camry. It feels like the weakest car I have ever driven. I put my foot on the accelerator and hear alot of noise but it seems like the car struggles to get going. Maybe my senses are a little out of wack since I am using to driving an V-8 that responds immediately when I push on the gas. I think it would be hard for me to change to a car like the Camry. This is a little disturbing because I was interesting in getting a Prius. If the Prius is as anemic as the Camry then I'll steer clear of it.

Toyota Camry can't touch the hem on the Accord's side skirt. Lol. I looked at all of the midsize sedans, including the Camry, Accord, Altima, Optima and the Accord 2.0T Touring blew all of the others away. I recently went car shopping for a car, not an SUV, and had started my search thinking I'd go with either an A4, next-gen 3er, C, or possibly the Giulia. I loved the Giulia's driving dynamism the best, but couldn't get past the fear of long-term quality problems. Shoot, even short term quality isn't an Alfa hallmark. I happened to look at the new Accord just to see what it was like, thinking I'd never like it enough to seriously consider it. I was stunned how much I liked the Accord. The best part about the Accord is the way it drives, it's 2.0T engine loaded with torque across the entire rev range. The Camry V6 XSE was a disappointment. Not only was it more expensive than the Accord Touring 2.0T, but it was missing basic features like carplay and Android Auto integration. The interior center stack was some strange asymmetrical shape that just looked weird and the gauge cluster looked dated. It didn't have a heads up display and the V6 just didn't ever feel that powerful and in no way did it match the buttoned down feel of the Accord, which actually feels more like a German sedan than a Japanese sedan. The Altima 2.0T was also disappointing. I went into it knowing I'd hate the CVT, but decided I'd still look at it just to look at everything. At first glance its interior tries to somewhat model after the Accord but you easily pick up where Nissan went cheap on actual material quality and infotainment specs. The infotainment screen was much slower to respond than the Accord, graphics weren't as sharp and again it was missing some of the Accord's features that I like. The Optima has really started to look its age. The quality and overall design is still a step behind the Accord (even the last gen) and it's 2.0T engine felt extremely dull and slow. It never whacks you with a glug of torque like the Accord. I also found its overall ride and driving Dynamics to be at the back of the pack. It just didn't feel like a cohesive package. While I was at Kia I looked at the Stinger GT V6 too. I like most of the way it looks on the outside, and of course it's twin turbo V6 was by far more powerful than the Accord. It rides pretty well and had some neat features but I couldn't get past a few things. One, the price is just too high for a Korean car made by a mainstream brand with zero cachet. A loaded GT2 AWD was $55K, for which I could have an S4 or 340i, C43, or Giulia AWD. The GT's engine surprisingly didn't sound very good because they've muffled the crap out of it and try to amplify fake sound through the stereo but it's not all that successful. The 8 speed transmission was good, but not as crisp or quick as the best from ZF. The biggest issue I had was the interior. Not the design necessarily but being forced to either go with black or red. For 2019 they've done away with the white interior, which was the only color I could really tolerate somewhat. I don't get why brands force you into "sporty" colors like black or red when you are paying such a high price. They should offer a tan, gray, white, red and black to satisfy everyone. Ultimately the price and interior led me to leave the GT behind. So, I was at a crossroad. Do I go for an established mainstream luxury sedan like the A4 or wait for the next generation 3er or do I go for something else. After driving the Accord 2.0T Touring three separate times, I decided I was going to get it. I liked the all of the safety equipment on the Accord, the way it drives and it's affordability. The seats are comfy but supportive, there's tons of room inside and it gets decent fuel economy. It also is a Honda, so if I'm lucky it will last at least a couple hundred thousand miles and be much cheaper to maintain in the period of ownership. I couldn't get over how improved the Accord feels compared to everything else in the class. Nothing could remotely come close to its balanced ride and handling, nicely weighted steering, torquey engine or interior quality. No, it's not an S4 or M3 but it is a damn good car that is surprisingly quick and fun to drive. Had the Type-R been offered with leather seats and some of the other niceties that VW offers on Golf R and GTI I might be driving a Type-R, but the Accord had everything I wanted and more at the incredible price of $34,000 out the door. Can't beat that!

I've been in both cars, no comparison here, accord is very roomy and camry is tight and feels stuffy for the back seats. There isn't much knee space. So for the toyota or camary fans it is a dissapointment.
Accord on the other hand was very spacious and actually feels like a large size sedan for its class.

this can happen i noticed because the 8 speed transmission starts you off in 4th gear with eco mode i noticed. It feels as if you are starting in a higher gear like you would in a manual and arent giving enough gas like it wants to stall out. Fuel eco maybe due to the lower rpms in the starting gear? dunno...

I put a sprint booster on low setting. Sport 2 mode and it fixed the lag perfectly. Dont use higher settings it is too much for safe driving. Try it.

95 Oldsmobile 120 hp @ 5,000 rpm - 3120lbs / 2018-2019 Camry SE 203 hp @ 6600 - 3340lbs. Unlikely you would pull on the Camry SE specially with someone that knows how to properly shift it. The CH-R in your video was an LE 2.0 140hp and 3300lbs and i highly doubt your friend had eco off and manually shifted.
