True, her life never been easy. She’s rich but always left alone by her parents and once she finally thought she could get her happy ending, her husband died. And after all of that her daughter becoming such a brat, leaving her with her only grandchildren and then die. That was so so so sad, maybe that’s why i think her spirit wasn’t in peace before she actually making peace with anna, making sure anna, she’s loved and not left behind alone like her.
I just watched it amd i am literally crying. And i cired when the hisako (the old lady) started telling Marnie story. It was sad that marnie got bully by the twin maids nanny. And how she felt bad leaving emily to boarding school and couldn't take care of her she wanted. She also asked for forgiveness to anna for leaving her. Like god i cried so hard. 😭
i watched this twice one year ago, it made me look like a water fall, please bring tissues if you want to watch the anime. There are sad unexpected plot twists
That’s why the story is so good I think, because Anna really connected to her grandma and it helped heal her wounds. If Marnie wasn’t her grandma, it wouldn’t be as beautiful a story, but that’s just my thinking. 😊
Marnie always appears in night and she loves that Marsh mansion she has a very very dark secret she got bullied by two maids and her nanny but did you know what happened to Marnie she was died in a old age and also she was her anna ( brown hair) grandma
The other commenter is right, this was When Marnie Was There. It’s one of the sadder Studio Ghibli movies, and very well done! I haven’t seen every Ghibli movie, but if you want a list, here’s the ones I’ve seen! 1. Spirited Away 2. Howl’s Moving Castle 3. When Marnie Was There 4. Kiki’s Delivery Service 5. My Neighbor Totoro 6. From Up on Poppy Hill 7. Ponyo 8. Princess Mononoke
@@meebosaur Great i have seen all besides 3,6 And that one with the giant catter piller things with lots of eyes that turn blue and red. shit broke me, people really need to give studio ghibli more attention
Agreed! I never saw a Ghibli movie until a few years ago because I didn’t know how great they were!
Marnie was a kind-hearted woman who was born into privilege but died unloved and alone. Such a heartbreaking anime😢

I cried like crazy watching this movie
One of the best and underrated studio Ghibli movies ever
Right?
What a masterpiece
It really is!

Same here! It’s a heartbreaking story with a bittersweet ending. Yes, Anna is in a much better place in the end, but poor Marnie though! 🥺
It's like marnie cameback to experience what is fun actually like as a child😢
This is the best movie i watched i...i cried when i watched this i couldnt stop
When a studio is exceptionally skilled at creating such wonderful shows, it often becomes desirable for every short show to have at least two seasons.
Watching this was like experiencing a new emotion...😢
I cryied like a Child when i saw this scene. The music broke my heart.
This movie made me cry hard
I was literally crying like this when watching this in the theater

When i first watched it i thought it was a gay movie but when it came to the twist i realized that it was her grandma all the time
@@TheAvguypilot-v7f It did seem like it, but since it’s Studio Ghibli I knew it would be something wholesome. The grandma twist is great 😊
@@meebosaur Its so sad but happy at the same time i don't know why
