RC planes with wingspans in the 900-1200mm range are the sweet spot for me. I have a 1500mm Timber which is great to fly but a pain in the butt to maneuver around the garage and to get in and out of my car (Subaru Legacy).
That mini-warbird really does seem to fly nice! As you mentioned, it would be nice to see how well it flies with a good quality transmitter, I guess one of those multi-protocol ones. That would be ideal if you had a collection of these min-warbirds to have just one transmitter.
It's so,so greeeen.😏 flew well. For my non flying experience, my guess is it wasn't the transmitter so much as it is a tiny plane & reacts much quicker to control imput vs much bigger planes. Wow that does fly well. Do you know what protocol it uses? I have a Radio Master mk2 tx16s elrs version but i have a external irangex plus 4-1 module. Is that a protocol that 4-1 module can bind? Ty so much and ty for all you're awesome review and videos. :)
I haven't flown a TopModel mini warbird, but both of my Eachine 400mm warbirds (P51, T28) fly fine in Expert mode with full down trim! My theory is they are trimmed "up" which the gyro neutralises in Novice and Intermediate mode. Maybe this helps them "climb away" on launch. Again, don't know about TopModel, but with the Eachine models, one click of the aerobatic button seems to deactivate the gyro for long enough for a roll to be initiated. During the roll I think the gyro reactivates so the model finishes up with wings level. One click. No idea what happens with click, click, click, click, click, click - but it would seem nothing good. Click, roll, straight and level is how my Eachine models worked. I say worked - because I now fly them with a Jumper T12 Pro with no momentary switch. And aerobatics don't need that button in expert mode, with full down trim.
These little uns are great fun eh? Nice review but might be less easy to see when flying past trees? I know my Corsair is harder to see in blue than the silver/red P51D. PS. When the next 'Boat Week' pls?
I got mine out of the UK at Arrow Models , I did not read and ordered mode 1radio in the usa we use mode 2 i hope this helps also got it in two weeks to Washington State 😉
Not impressed with the echine 400mm planes I bought the F-22 RAPTOR and the ZERO... Both were faulty the servo on the aileron didn't work correctly on the F-22 and the zero did not respond to my commands at 100metres away not sure if they were damaged in transport as the boxes arrived damaged but the two volatex planes I bought previously have been perfect hour's of fun....😢
Sadly no! We got these planes MONTHS ago and they are still impossible to find online. So weird! So we just linked our other favorite mini warbirds. 👍😁😎⚓️

I haven't flown a TopModel mini warbird, but both of my Eachine 400mm warbirds (P51, T28) fly fine in Expert mode with full down trim!
