South Africans never feel hate for people supporting their team. Going into the knock out stages of the world cup, we all knew there was a chance for losing. We never wrote the opposition off. 6 months later, I bet you chose your words carefully. Since Ireland to date has never won a world cup quarter final game. If you look at their overall statistics, Ireland has only won 47% of their games. Compared to the over 70% for new zealand, closely followed by South Africa. No other team in the world has a higher win percentage against New Zealand than SA. Also, 4 years is a long time, the irish team will not be the same. They maybe a lot better or a lot worse. One thing is certain, the other teams will get better as well... until Ireland can get through to a semi, they on a golden run, but all golden runs come to an end.

Lets all be honest, we are all die hard supporters of our countries and any real rugby supporter gives credit where credit is due. There are amazing teams like Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, France. Rugby is about who shows up that day. Any one of those four teams could beat each other. And thats why we watch it. If you want to see the same team win every time they compete go watch Formula One. If you want to see 30 men lay it all out for 80 Minutes then you're watching the right sport. I respect every team that steps out onto the field and gives it everything they have. Thats what makes this sport great. Im die hard South African. But it ultimately comes down to the game we all love. So as much as it may hurt when your country looses, the better team on the day always wins. Much love to all countries. And i hope for the years to come we have teams that are neck and neck. Otherwise whats the point.
