Woman Marine, 65-68, here. Enjoyed this. My mom was Army Aircorps, WWII. She taught me how to drill troops when I was about 10. She had a Girl Scout troop that would march in local parades so she trained them to march to military cadence. This brings back a lot of good memories - both family and my actice duty time! Good job.❤

He married just months before enlistment, she birthed a daughter while he was away. It's said she assumed him dead and when he returned he discovered the news. He then married my grandmother who was a widow. Together they shared 5 children. He died when my father was 7 from a heart attack while walking to work one morning. They have very little memory of him. The Purple heart for POWs was not ordered until after his death, but he is buired with those honors. Thank you for asking. I was blessed to be raised by his wife. I'm saddened our government did help her more. She stuggled. @@Byerly2k20

Catchy tunes. Thank you to our US Military for protecting our country and our freedoms. I have no doubt in mind of the discernments y'all have to go through, on a brighter side, all the good habits of waking up early, starting good habits is always encouraged. The circumstances of the why though, I'll have to find a scripture for forgiveness and moving forward. “Go to war or Go to jail” wow. This life is crazy. But, we have to be a team and build/rebuild each other. Thank you so much for fighting for US.

Reminds me a lot of my time in basic and AIT. A lot of those cadences were a daily part of our lives. I miss calling cadence, I miss my brothers and sisters, and I miss the fallen I served with. But I know my service was not perfect, I was not a model soldier. I got out with a general (under honorable), and it most likely be only my children who will remember my legacy. Jonathon, great voice and heart. Please keep it real.

@@ruzer1514 Finish college, commission as an officer, way better choice. These songs give you the feeling of basic training which will go by quick, and you'll never experience again. If you decide to enlist for some reason, be sure to pick a MOS/job that will benefit you in the real world. Example I'm a 25B which is an IT Information Specialist so with certs I can get a good job on the outside. Medical is also a good choice, also if you talk to a recruiter don't just accept any job, if they say they don't have any openings for the job you want then walk out and tell them to call you when they do.
