LITTLE-KNOWN FACTS ABOUT PUTIN. In 2013, before a coup d'etat took place in Ukraine, he asked the then President of Ukraine, Yanukovych, not to use force. In 2014, when the Ukrainian army was encircled in the Donbas, Putin called on the separatists to release the AFU soldiers from the "boiler" and exchange prisoners. In 2014, realizing that the conflict could escalate into a fratricidal war, Putin proposed a plan to resolve the crisis in Ukraine "Minsk 1". The peace initiatives assumed the cessation of offensives by all armed formations in the Donbas, the withdrawal of all troops to a safe distance from populated areas, international control over the observance of the ceasefire, the refusal of Ukraine to use military aviation against civilians, the exchange of prisoners under the "all for all" scheme, as well as the opening of humanitarian corridors. In 2015, Putin actively supported German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who proposed a special procedure for the entry into force of the law on the special status of Donbass provided for by the Minsk agreements. In 2015, in order to resolve the crisis in Ukraine as soon as possible, he proposed to sign an additional agreement "Minsk 2", where the obligations of the parties to the conflict were spelled out in more detail. In 2017, Putin proposed to place a UN mission on the line of contact in the Donbas to ensure the safety of employees of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission. Later, Putin did not rule out that such a mission could be located throughout the conflict, but with the consent of the proclaimed republics of Donbass. In 2021, Putin warns NATO countries against crossing "red lines" and invited them to dialogue, but his proposal was rejected. In 2022, after the outbreak of the war, Putin forbade the military to shoot at civilian objects and, if possible, at industrial infrastructure, which greatly hindered the army's advance. But after numerous terrorist acts of the Ukrainian regime, he allowed the bombing of the energy infrastructure. By the way, the Russian army is the only one in the last 100 years that complies with the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War. For 22 years of his manifestation, Putin has not made a single geopolitical mistake, and the Russian economy, as noted by leading world analysts, has achieved outstanding results, even despite unprecedented sanctions. Putin did not start this war against his people in 2014 - but he will end it! Will you still believe fake news? P.S. In the West, everyone expects Vietnam, Iraq, Libya from Putin... That's not going to happen. He's a Mission!

Saw you on Jake Broe’s show and knew you’d be worth watching! Interesting explanation of how they redirected on the mobilization to just the problems with it and came out with a propaganda win. Thanks for your insights.
Assuming 65.000 dead russians , and 100.000 injured severely plus perhaps 700.000 regugees in the reproductive, productive age , This is a demographic disaster for Russia , as birthrate, already low, at 1.2 million, is too low. One years production of people is soon lost! Thank you for What you do, Anders
There are reports (and documentation) of thousands upon thousands of Ukrainian children being abducted into Russia. I believe it applies quite well with your hypothesis.
I agree, with you, that these numbers must have a severe impact in Russia and especially the refugees. This is why Putin needs to say that mobilization have already ended. I remember the time before the collapse of East Germany, when a lot of people was able to flee the country via the new route through Czechoslovakia.
They have stolen millions of Ukrainians to add to the ones willingly becoming Russians like they did during Holodomor to help that ailing birth rate but doesn’t long term solve anything. Next year was to be the first negative in population for many decades. Rather than make it a country they want to live in and do well they’ve attacked their neighbour. Promised pension and wage increases never happened. Instead their billionaires have super yachts, palaces and safe havens in Europe.

Superb analysis, as usual, Anders. You give some of the best insight on this topic out of all channels that cover this topic on the platform. Very much appreciated, kind sir. Keep up the amazing work!
Solid analysis. One thing I'd like to point out is that Civilian targets are more vulnerable to drones. When russian applied them to front lines, they were loosing 90-95% of them. This number is only 50-60% for civilian targets.
Defenses are set up for the areas you expect anattack. Once Ukraine sets up defenses for the cities the drone attacks will suffer similar losses there. Then Amnesty International will say that the anti-drone weapons make the cities legitimate military targets and say Ukraine is using the cities as human shields.
there is a saying in the oz army that seems to have skipped past putin - ''prior preparation and planning prevents piss poor performance.'' keep up the good work Anders.
Anders, you are so, so right in interpreting the attacks on civilians as fulfilling Russian leadership's need to have something new to put on TV; as you say, it is morbid, but it is the bare truth - a continued exercise in propaganda. Thank you for your careful analysis.
Yep, nothing has changed. When I was in Russia in 2000, the narrative about the Second Chechen War on television was like: It's a low-tide conflict in a country far far away, so there is something fishy in the state of Denmark, but it's well under control, so don't worry, folks. Putin started to crack down on free media in Russia the year after, but they had already limited the access of journalists to the war zone. Because one reason why Russia lost the First one was that journalists, including Russians, had free access, held interviews with the rebel leader Djokhar Dudayev etc.
Sláva Ukrayíni ! Glory to the Heroes ! Thanks for going on Jake's channel ! Greetings from the US. I appreciate your analysis and expertise ! The Tsar is good and the Boyars are bad. Circle is unbroken.
I always feel like I actually *understand* the conflict better when I see one of your videos. You don't just summarize what's going on, you have a mental model that explains it.
As ever Anders, an absolutely fascinating and brilliant analysis of a situation that I must confess I had been really struggling to make sense of, particularly the senseless targeting of civilians and the mainstream Russian media’s support for such horrific behaviour and the irony that when Ukraine strikes back they have the audacity to call that ‘terrorism’. Now it all makes so much more sense, though we can also see it’s a set of problems that Putin can’t keep putting off for ever 🙌
Very interesting. What I take from this is 1) that Russia, despite seeming fixated on the west, is really (in its behavior in general and specifically in its bombing of non-military sites) really turned inward; it's placating the hardliners and satisfying rage. Also, 2) the Russian media in seeming to engage in criticism is really creating the sense of "we belong in one club where we can disagree with each other"; it is solidifying the us/them thinking (as it deflects attention, as you say).
Thank you for addressing the sociopolitical aspects. It's my sense that few of us understand how much of what's happening is a message to Putin's domestic audience.
It's definitely not something that get a lot of attention in the news - but there is news stations that has programs where they make "deep dives" into various issues - and there's also some great podcasts that do the same. However, I think Anders is great at cooking it down and presenting it to an audience - and it also helps that my GF thinks he's hot, so she don't mind me watching his videos even when they are released pretty late in the evening or early in the morning. 😜
So a conspiracy theory about how Russia targets civilians, it isnt, so its own populaiton knows its place, makes sense to you? I have a bridge to sell you bud.
@@attilamarics4808 Don’t be stup¡d, RuSSia is targeting civilians. There’s been so many attacks hitting pure civilian targets that it’s impossible to claim it’s just "collateral damage"!
I am so appreciative of the clarity in your presentations and observations. As you stated the changing nature of the situation in Russia and Ukraine is outside the sheltered nature of most in the west. Your efforts are important. Please continue to bring insight into the big picture. It is especially important as I am beginning to hear short-sighted politicians complaining that Ukraine cannot think it has a blank check with the west.
Very much like to follow your views both here and in DR when you are there at "krigens døgn". I have a what-if question. What difference had it made if Russia still had the two French Mistral-class amphibious assault ships?
I see the drones as an attempt at escalation without using nukes. As I have said and written many times; Putolini is not likely to employ nukes. He knows it will lead to his destruction, so he is desperate to find other ways. And yes, this ties in with the "satisfying the home public".
The russia is EXTREMELY predictable. All their moves are something they already done, like look at Grozny or Aleppo and see Mariupol... They never used WMDs. Except as empty threats. Which aren't new either. Notice how russia isn't crossing the line of using chemical weapons (which they have) in Ukraine either. They know they only will get away with using them in London (Brits gave russia a carte blanche to use them when Litvinenko murder had no retaliation). But use of chems in Ukraine will lead to US involving itself in the war and russia will lose much faster, much harder. This whole "crazy Ivan" charade is fake and calculated. Always have been.
I have no fear that Putin will use Nukes. I do fear that he will use chemical weapons. I think the only reason he hasn't is that he knows if he uses chemical weapons that the world will treat Russia as Saddam's Iraq with nukes. Any possibility of future trade with Europe goes away and any possibility of Ukrainians (including ethnic Russian Ukrainians) ever accepting Russian rule goes away.
Kherson. Is the rhetoric from Moscow not such that a strike with a 'dirty bomb' is a real likelihood? Using the weapon to draw a line in the sand, creating a buffer zone, while at the same time reducing any advance towards the Crimea?
It takes a Dane

Great job Anders, and thanks as always for your insight, great interview on jake’s channel!
your analysis and conclusions are outstanding. very few people do this as well as you do.
Wow... I wish mainstream media could do as good a job as you in unpacking the situation.
I really appreciate that you are sharing this. Much more informative than a daily MSM bombardment about the war without any deeper analysis of the actual narratives. Keep on the good work. 💪
Thank u thank u thank u. Your insights on this war is outstanding. Glad I came by your channel through Jake Broe's channel. You belong to the intellectual category of people. Thank you again.💙💛💙💛💙💛💙💛🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Dear Nielsen, you're the only analyst who is neutral, well aware of warfare&strategy, objective and trying to look every possible angles of the stucture called "state",war is not only war,it's combined with economy, social consent, tech and production capacity, foreign diplomacy and you cover all of the aspects.Very very well done.
I recommend looking at Perun as well - his videos are complementary and also of similar quality.
Fantastic video Anders! Thank you for your thoughtful, highly insightful, commentary. Most informative.
Thank you, thank you , thank you!! Your clear thinking and concise explanations are really appreciated. Saw you for the first time on Jake's channel and subscribed to your immediately. Looking forward to seeing more from you!
Good Job reporting
Thank you Anders. Between you Jake, Perun, Denys and The Russian Dude I feel I am getting a well-rounded view of the war and the crimes committed by russia. Your analytical and calming style is reassuring as the emotions of more violence against civilians and civilian infrastructure before Winter take hold.
Hi Allan
I have been following both you and Jake Broe (and other RUclipsrs) for some time.
I was pleasantly surprised to se you on Jakes channel lately👍🏻

Very good video, thanks
Great reporting 👏 👍 I would like your views on sanctions and weapons in 🇷🇺 Glory ,Victory and Peace to Ukraine 🇬🇧 🇺🇦 ✨️
Superb analysis, as usual, Anders. You give some of the best insight on this topic out of all channels that cover this topic on the platform. Very much appreciated, kind sir. Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks for the insight/update, Anders!
Great insights, so good to see intelligent analysis of the situation in Russia. Good Job, kudos!

there is a saying in the oz army that seems to have skipped past putin - ''prior preparation and planning prevents piss poor performance.''
keep up the good work Anders.

Great analysis, as someone who doesnt watch Russian news I really appreciate your perspective. Great video!
@@PalleRasmussen Yeah quite right almost as scary as watching CNN
@@OI-_0_-IO you really need some proportions. get of the MAGA coolaid. Remember that Tucker is the one shown on Russian TV and who agrees with them.
Thank you for the insight.
Anders, you are so, so right in interpreting the attacks on civilians as fulfilling Russian leadership's need to have something new to put on TV; as you say, it is morbid, but it is the bare truth - a continued exercise in propaganda.
Thank you for your careful analysis.

Where did they attack civilians deliberately? All I cna find is either legitimate targets or targets that were next to legitimate targets.
@@attilamarics4808 Civilian infrastructure, dummy.
@@EvoraGT430 Its valid target thou. Civilian in the name doesnt mean it cannot be targeted. You guys are simple.
@@attilamarics4808 we are simple or you are a barbarian...? Hmmmm
This is a really perfect job.
Brilliant analysis! That's how it looks in reality
Wow, this is, to me, an incredibly insightful and useful analysis. Thanks!
Tak for dine analyser. Fortsat god arbejdslyst. 🇩🇰❤🇺🇦
I thank Jake for having you as a guest. I think your presentation and analysis was very educational. Added a subscription. Thank you.
Fantastic synthesis!
Scott Ritter
Very interesting. What I take from this is 1) that Russia, despite seeming fixated on the west, is really (in its behavior in general and specifically in its bombing of non-military sites) really turned inward; it's placating the hardliners and satisfying rage. Also, 2) the Russian media in seeming to engage in criticism is really creating the sense of "we belong in one club where we can disagree with each other"; it is solidifying the us/them thinking (as it deflects attention, as you say).
Great info, great insights, Thank you. Watching this video is time well spent.
As always, another outstanding analysis & assessment. Many thanks!

@@attilamarics4808
Don’t be stup¡d, RuSSia is targeting civilians.
Thank you. Your insight is always helpful. Much appreciate it.
Always a pleasure to listen to your analysis, Anders.
I am so glad Commander Nielsen is on our side, this guy is about as sharp as they come.
Everyone should watch these videos.
And your destruction .
@@g4joe I am not really sure, how the destruction of a Danish historian will deter Putolini, but maybe.

Is the rhetoric from Moscow not such that a strike with a 'dirty bomb' is a real likelihood?
Using the weapon to draw a line in the sand, creating a buffer zone, while at the same time reducing any advance towards the Crimea?
