very humbly shared. thank you for recording the whole process. people usually don't show the stages. so when we try, there are moments where we are lost. Thank you for this one. I'll try and post my experience :)
I followed your steps, and I don't know about the price but the taste is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and the aroma itself made the process worth it!! Thanks a million for this super helpful video!!!
Thank you for your video with step by step method. You are absolutely right the price of khanum ghee 2 kg I bought on 1 July 2021 was £17.10. Today on 6 Dec the price is £34.99!
saw first time today 27sept 2024! as i came home last night didn’t buy ghee due to high pricing will try to make one this weekend ❤ so many positive reviews so worth trying ❤
Thank you, I am going to try this for the first time today. I have watched this all the way through but will keep it close while I am doing it! Thank you
The health benefits of ghee: 1. It doesn’t stimulate insulin 2. It has lutein (it’s good for your eyes) 3. It decreases your appetite and helps you fast longer 4. It contains important fat-soluble vitamins 5. It is more easily digested than other fats 6. It contains MCT fats (which are used as energy and are easily digested) 7. It has short-chain fatty acids (which are good for gut health) 8. It has CLA (it’s anticarcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergy) Nutritional value of Ghee: Ghee is purely fat and has no significant amount of proteins, carbohydrates, sugar or fibre. 100 ml of ghee contains almost 99.8 grams of fat. Most of the fat present in ghee is saturated fat. But traces of proteins may be left over in the ghee if milk solids (whey) are not completely removed in the clarification process. Ghee, a clarified form of butter, is rich in healthy fats that can enhance the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins in milk, aiding in better nutrient utilization. This concoction can be calorie-dense, making it beneficial for weight gain and muscle building. Why do bodybuilders use ghee? Ghee contains omega-3 fatty acid DHA and omega 6 (CLA). These fats can help in increasing lean body mass while also reducing fat mass. Ghee also helps in mobilising fat cells to be burnt for energy.
I have just made my first batch of ghee following your instructions as I cooked. I found the whole process very relaxing and nostalgic, as it reminds me of all the wonderful food I shared with my Indian friends when I lived in N. London, earlier in my life 😊. Your video is so clear to follow and you are both informative and reassuring. I could listen to your voice all day! My ghee is now cooling. I can’t wait to try it. Hope it turns out as beautiful as yours! Thank you so much and happy Mother’s Day xx
@@cheerstolife4821 It's AMAZING. Was a bit worried when I strained it because of the dark colour but it cooled to a lovely golden yellow so I guess I cooked it right. Probably need to invest in some better storage jars and maybe a new stainless steel pan 🤣
Definitely going to make this with my free made butter .It's all about the visual I bet the aroma is heavenly .Love food and people who share the love much appreciated.
Thanks great tutorial. Butter in Australia is not cheap so I probably wouldn't save money but I still will make it because, as you said in your video, it most likely taste better than shop bought.
Thank you for your detailed information. I was able to cook alongside this video. My ghee turned out perfectly! It was very important and satisfying to watch my Canadian butter do what the Irish butter did.
@@cheerstolife4821 It turned out fantastic thanks, in a Kilner Jar on the counter as you said, means I use it very often for all sorts of things. 2 months later, 2/3 gone but in perfect condition as my Kitchen is fairly cool. Thanks again for the knowledge :)
Hey api......Assalamualaikum... I saw your recipe and made the ghee...Alhamdulillah all ticked but no smell...the smell coming is nutty...and the butter I used is from Germany...now which brand of butter do I use? If you do, you will get the smell of ghee exactly like the shop.
Thank you for this. I’ve noticed the price of ghee really going high recently (like everything!) however I noticed it’s cheaper to buy the butter and make my own. I’m following your instructions right now x
I watched a video on tik tok and the guy kept skimming the foam off the boiling butter throughout the process is that a good idea ? I noticed u didn’t ? I’m confused now? What is the best method?
This is a really fantastic video! Thank you for creating it. I tried making it today with just 250g butter (unfortunately the butter was organic) The butter didn't boil like it did in your video, but the colour changes were like those shown in your video. I have an electric cooker. Maybe different types of cookers slightly alter the cooking process? Perhaps I should have just looked for the colour changes, instead of expecting the butter to boil? In the video you said that when the Ghee is done and it's time to turn the heat off, there will be an almost brown tinge around that sides of the pan and it's time to turn the heat off. I wish I had done that when the brown tinges appeared. Unfortunately, I turned the heat up instead to try and make it boil. Suddenly it smelt burnt and I quickly took it off the stove. My Ghee is now black and smells burnt instead of nutty. Next time I make it, I will definitely stop when the brown tinge appears around that sides of the pan. My question: Is it safe to consume this Ghee? Would it be bad for health? Should I just chuck it away?
Hi , what a beautiful informative video, I made ghee too from butter but I didn't let it burn enough , is it OK I reheat the ghee I have already made and make sure I cook it more the way you did , or will this spoil the ghee I have made.. thanks 😊
I pour my ghee in a blackened wooden crock for extra flavor and let it age for one year warming to liquid every month to pick up the extra flavour. White oak is the best wood!
Namaste 🙏, thank you for you video. I tried few months ago and Ghee got burnt and button of pan got bent also. Please tell me how to regulate gas as it boils may be I kept on gas on high.

I'm making it now. I am on my 3rd time cooking 10 minutes at a time. I think my butter is made up mostly milk protein due to the foam. I have 9 pounds of butter cooking. Still hanging in there.
You can either throw it (but don't!) Or just grind some leftover roti with that brown mixture and add some gud (jaggery) to it. You can knead the grinded mixture into beautiful, healthy laddoos 😊 or just eat the grinded mixture as it is. We used to enjoy it whenever my mom made ghee at home. It will be a treat to eat, very healthy and rich in flavour! Good luck...
