Just picked up a bottle today. Agree with you that this is a really unique pour! Looking forward to seeing how it opens up. As always I enjoy your reviews!
Thank you. Each time I go back to it I always think the same thing...this is such a unique bottle. I don't go to it very much, but when I do I enjoy it every time. Cheers!
Definitely weird and unique. Almost in a category all its own, and quite difficult to figure out. Barrell really outdid themselves if forging their own path was the goal.
I'm definitely liking this and will be spending more time trying to figure it out. This entire rye series has been great and I'm appreciating what rye is all about and I'm learning a lot.
Seagrass Rye is a great dessert sipper. Very enjoyable. I think you summed it up really well.
Very enjoyable and very interesting. Much different then anything I have had.
Unique review for a unique spirit.
Each batch has subtle differences. I really enjoy it for what it is… unique and challenging…all in a good way.
Cheers 🥃
Definitely much different than most whiskeys I've had and certainly challenging. Cheers!
Cool review , love the channel!!
Very much like a bourbon...i'd like to know the mash bill.
Just grabbed a new bottle today for 88$ out the door from TW.
The abv was 60.1 on this one vs the 59.2 it was last time.
I just love this stuff!!
I just cannot get over the fruit forwardness of this and that hint of mint you get with rye and how it just finishes long but very very smooth.
When someone says you can "get into trouble" drinking an 9% IPA ....i usually lol..
You can get into actual real trouble with this stuff..
Its a little hot to me , but a few drops of water solves that!
Thanks. I like to know the mash bill as well. Not sure how much it helps me dissect the whiskey, but any and all information is welcomed.
@@whiskeyisajourney i think when we know the mash bill/makeup of the product, we can easily dissect it and sort of look for the flavors we are expecting ...but if we're not novices , we should be able to pick them up without this!!..
but as you said, its still nice to know!!
I love all things involving knowledge when it comes to bourbon and rye ,and whiskey in general.
Just picked up a bottle. Mine’s heavy on butterscotch. I do pick up a wine note on the nose with apricot. Zero pine vs yours.
After seeing a comment below, batch 10. Definitely hard to find that number.
I agree ridiculously hard to find the batch number.
Ive heard of them but never tried, will have to give this a go. cheers
I enjoyed it very much. I hope you do as well. Cheers!
Very nice review. Definitely a different type of pour and very good.
Agreed. Very different. Especially for a Rye. I don't have anything else like this in my rye collection.
Luv this one. What Batch ?
I'm not sure of the batch. I don't see any indication on the bottle to let me know.
@@whiskeyisajourney check the side of the front label. May need to magnify. I found it on my Barrel Vantage but killed my Seagrass awhile ago. Luv Barrel Spirits
Oh my gosh that's hard to see, but I found it. Batch 9.
@@whiskeyisajourney yes it is 😄 I’m glad u found it. After my text, I realized I didn’t provide good directions. Only have seen 1 bourbon utube r say anything. And it sounded so lame
