    yes I kie this cast also , sometimes I knit the tail or make it to short or long

      I've tried all of those cast on methods and like this knit on method best.

    Nobody knows what the pattern is or what the border pattern is either

      I'm sorry. I don't guess I mentioned the border. It is just a knit1 purl1 seed stitch for 5 stitches on either side of the blanket, plus 5 rows at the beginning and end.

    Looks like a spider. Would look neat in black.

    After having made several baby blankets like this, I’ve found a problem. Babies have gotten their little fingers in the strands of yarn, and one had to be cut away, as her finger got wrapped up in the butterfly yarn strand. I refuse to even consider making this pattern, again.

      That's terrible. I'm so sorry. I never heard of this problem before but I can see it would be a problem for babies.

    I love and collect butterflies but don't want hurt your feelings cause it is a beautiful blanket but it does look like spiders

      I'm not offended. Some call it a bow tie also. I prefer to see butterflies. Haha
