To anyone getting frustrated: I did too! I got really mad and wanted to give up when mine didn’t look like hers. They have been doing this awhile, this is ur first! And don’t worry, it will be okay in the end. Just walk away or distract yourself. You’ve got this! I’m not done w mine, already made mistake after mistake. I’ll update how it turned out!
Did you finish making it?
How did it turn out? I feel like I got the wrong yarn it's way to soft. It's hard to form the braid. Very frustrating. Gonna try different yarn.
How did it turn out ??
Awe your sweet thank you for your kind words I really appreciate it ❤I hope your doing well!
Sigh thanks lol needed to read that
I started my chunky blanket. Restarted it 3 times. I saw mistakes i wanted corrected. The best thing is that you can start over. Don't give up. Mine looks good for a first timer lol. You can do it! Have faith in yourself.
Sounds great!
great job Cynthia, proud of you!

Wonderful tutorial!! Others were so hard but I feel like the 2 color pattern was the best way to show how to do it and to show what you’re doing, it’s not hard at all and I’ve already gotten 1/4 of my blanket done thanks to you! WONDERFUL!!
Thank you! Happy Knitting!

I have made 4 of these to fit full size beds. Once you get use to using this yarn it goes very fast. I can't wait to make more and in more colors. You made this video so easy to follow. Thank you
@trisha31550 How many skeins of the yarn did you need for the full size blanket? My last blanket I used 10 skeins, but want to make another larger one.
I have watched all the You Tube videos about making this blanket.. Your is the best! You are easy to follow, even for a novice. I learned a great deal from you Thank You.
Thank you Catherine!
Thank you you are the best teacher on here other people go too fast but you go the right paste and you show it just perfectly I appreciate you so much
Thank you so much!
This looks so much easier that crocheting with a hook and thinner yarn . I can’t wait to try this

This is a wonderful tutorial I made my first blanket and it looked amazing thanks to you!
Thank you, sounds great!
i’m thinking on making mine for a friends gift, how much time did it take? i have only a month to do it, hope you can answer me ☺️
I cannot wait to try this hand weaved chunky soft blanket! It’s a nice way to try to relax while you’re in the house during the winter months and when you’re done, you have a cozy blanket to keep or give as a gift! Thank you for a very helpful instructional video for us beginners!!🥰❤️🙏
Just finished a blanket using your wonderful video ! I did it in light gray and dark gray alternating rows like you did in your video with the gray and white . I love the way you start the blanket and I love alternating knitting the last stitch it gives such a beautiful finished even edge ! You’re amazing!
I also ordered your jumbo chenille yarn it just came today ! I can’t wait to start working with it ! I’ve watched other hand knitting tutorials but never like yours with your beautiful technique ! I wish I could send you a picture of my finished blanket but I’m not on any social media . Thank you again ! 🥰❤️
Thank yu Nancy, glad you like my video! You can send a picture to my email: info@becozi.net. Cant wait to see it!
I just finished my first cozy and while I was doing it I lost loops unraveled a couple of rows but in the end my brother was elated and said it was beautiful!!don’t quit you got this
Best two colour pattern tutorial. Excellent. Made one. Came out very well. Thanks a lot for the tutorial.
You are welcome!
This gives really good instructions. I bought just one ball of yarn to try it, since it's $10/ ball can get expensive. I've never done this, or crocheted or knitted before. I found if I miss one stitch or all the loops aren't very close in size, it messes the whole blanket up. Not for me but glad I have it a try (I can but one much cheaper than making one without all the time spent on it).
Thank you for this video! I was surprised at how easy i picked it up, I really thought I was messing up until i got about 6 rows in. Beautiful! Thank you!
You are very welcome!
You explain things very thoroughly. I'm excited to try jumbo yarn...I've had success making baby blankets with the soft, baby blanket yarn. Wish me luck
Just finished my first one. I love it and so easy to follow. Can't wait to give this blanket to my new baby niece!

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING❤️❤️❤️ and so easy to follow! Thank you very much for the step by step instructions, I’m a beginner and I think I can do it. I’ve order the yarn and excited to start. Thanks for sharing🙏🏻
Great tutorial! Just finished mine. It's not perfect but it looks nice enough to display on my couch. Hardest part is the beginning, making the chain then finding the knots. I had to start over several times. After that it's smooth sailing. I finished in an afternoon.

I really really love your tutorial soo much! I have been interested to start knitting, but i found most of the beginners tutorials super hard to follow along, with context very hard to understand, chain 1, increase, decrease, then gave up for loong. Until i browsed your videos, and finally made a blanket myself! Thank you soo much.! And i would like to request a tutorial on how to hand knit and add ruffles borders to the blanket if possible. Thanks very kindly. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for this easy-to-use instructions I have a question I saw a baby blanket nket on tik tok and it had hearts in it in a contrasting color, looks like the only did one loop to create ithe V did they have to tie off for every one or embroider them in or something else.. I wish I could send you a picture
You are welcome! Please, email us a photo to info@becozi.net. I believe it is simply a knitting one stitch in a different color to create those little "hearts"

Great tutorial, and easy to follow just finished a 2 color blanket in a couple hours. 💜
Love all the positivity on this comment thread ❤
I made a baby blanket using different colors. Thank you for this video.
How do you make this blanket with more then 2 colors ? I love this pattern
Love this pattern! I have a question about doing the left side...how do you know which color goes under the other color when switching colors? On one row of finishing the white you say the gray goes under the white, but on the next row of finishing the white you say that white goes on the bottom? Please help. Thanks!
The color that you start is going on the top
I love that blanket. Thank you
Thank you, glad you like it!
I apologize if already asked, I did go through comments but didn't see answer. Can any one tell me how many skeins for larger sizes, like King or Queen? I guess how many knots/loops in a row then too? Or do you just start and measure as you go? This video was EXCELLENT! Our area has a class on it once a month but I've missed every one so I looked on here!
For a queen size chunky finger knit blanket, you would typically need to start with around 60-80 chains depending on how thick your yarn is and how loose you want your knit to be; a looser knit will require fewer chains, while a tighter knit will require more. Usually queen blankets are 80 inches wide. Have a tape measure as your chaining to determine how many chains and keep a tally for yourself if you want to make another queen blanket in the future. And queens are usually 100 inches long. So with your tape measure handy knit a lot of rows until you get 100 inch length on the queen blanket and write that down as well for future references hope I am making sense and I hope this is helpful.
Very nice, yes of course I try new things and get frustration..
My came out so good thank you very much for this video 🙏🙏🙏🙏

This was a fabulous tutorial. Im addicted!! I was so excited to start I went to Hobby Lobby and found something similar to practice my technique. Only difference, it is a 100% Polyester Chunky Yarn.

Hello first I have to say that I LOVE this pattern. Doesn’t look so airy as most patterns. So pretty. I wanted to know if you can tell me how much yarn would I need for a Blanket 80 x 56”. And when we start with the chain stitch is this the Width or the Length. Thank you
Thank you, glad you like it. For blankets you start with the narrower side, a blanket should be 56x80. You would need 17 skeins of BeCozi Jumbo chenille (not any other) and start with 24-25 stitches.
LOVE THIS! I haven't started yet, but I'm wondering if this would work with three colors?
There is a video showing how to do it with three colors: ruclips.net/video/idMC4mOA1_w/видео.html
Wow this is so amazing❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
Love this video, very easy tutorial. I can't wait to try it! How big did this end up being? Is this like a baby blanket? Also, how do you wash these?
Love this blanket! Is it possible to use this same technique with 3 different colours of skeins (alternating rows)?
It is possible. If you would like to use the same technique used in this video - there will be some strings of different colors on the sides though.
Easiest tutorial I've seen thank you so so much!!! Xoxo
Do i have to use 2 yarns if i'm gonna use only one colour? Or just can keep knitting?
You can use one color
Amazing 😮😍😍😍❤

VERY NICE JOB! GRWAT VIDEO ❤😂🎉😊

Beautifully made!!
Thank you! You can make it too, get some yarn at becozi.com
Looks good with two colors. I made a scarf and when done the yarn came off at different places. I was upset.
Hello I just found your page love all the projects.I just got my yarn to try and ,are a blanket. Every few knots I get a hole in between can you please tell me how to prevent that? Thanks In advance
Question…do you purl the last stitch on right hand side of blanket? Thank you!
No, I knit it. Then I skip it in the next row and it looks like a chain when its done
Your work is beautiful!
I have a question
How do u launder this item? Do u just hand wash it and hand it up to dry? Or launder this chunky blanket in the gentle setting? And dry it the same way??
Wash in cold water on gentle cycle, dry in a dryer on medium heat
This is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. Can I make longer and do you have something like CD instead of book. God bless you.
Yes, you can make it as long as you want, I have a Book and 200 videos on ruclips.net/user/becozivideos.
Please...how many balls do I have to buy for a single blanket? Thanks!
6 skeins of BeCozi Jumbo chenille yarn for a small blanket 30x50 inches and 9 skeins of BeCozi Jumbo chenille for a medium size 40x60 inches. You can buy it here (not available in any stores): becozi.net/collections/chunky-chenille-yarn/products/jumbo-chenille. For two colored blanket: half of one color and half of another.
Can you do a tutorial creating a chunky blanket with a border? Thanks
Here is a tutorial showing how to make a border: ruclips.net/video/qGG-Wq9c458/видео.html
My yarn wasn’t as chunky as theirs so it came out a little short on the ends I’d recommend adding some stitches if your yarn isn’t as fluffy. I will know for next time. Next time I plan to try three colors. This was simple and easy really. I usually crochet and compared to that this was a treat. And honestly it looks better
I love this. Your stitches are so neat.
Thank you!
Love how this blanket turns out with the two colours and the two stitches. Can you help me with one thing? How are you securing the second color of yarn when you add it on the third row? You mentioned making a knot, but I noticed the tail still hanging off the end. Are you sewing that loose end of the second color at some point? Thank you. Love your videos!
The blanket looks amazing and im going to try to make it! Your tutorial explains it very well for me!
Could I increase the number of the loops more than 30 ? Does the loops number have to be even? Or does it not make any difference, whether even or odd, and I can choose any number and length of the blanket I can choose?
and what is the lenght of the blanket or how many loop it take for the lenght of the blanket tell the end
You can start with any amount of stitches. The information about how much yarn and stitches to start is on our website: becozi.net/collections/chunky-chenille-yarn/products/jumbo-chenille
@BeCozi thank you but i enter the link you give some examples for the measures for the baby blanket and large and other type the number of skiens is not as the result of the calculation of the width divided by 2.2
For example if we divide 2.2 with 50 it will give 22 and in your measures you put that 50×60 starts with 26 stitches could you explain to me that please
Thanks so much for sharing this video 💚 👍 💐 📹
Beautiful.
How to you calculate how much yarn you need for various blanket sizes?
This information is available at a description for each yarn at becozi.net
@@BeCozi I saw that using Chenille yarn, Full/Queen size bed runner 50x60 inches: six skeins (24 stitches to cast on). I would like the formula used so I may apply it to custom sizes.
So pretty
Simply beautiful 😍
Could this be done the same way with multiple colors, like 4? I’ve done this with the 2 colors and love it
Sure, you can use as many colors as you want
For a 2-colored 40”x60” blanket, how many skeins of each color should you purchase?
Love your videos! Making your 2 color as a baby blanket but I'm having trouble. I am trying to get the chain stitch on both sides, the right side comes out perfect, the left side looks like I have missed a stitch , after checking and redoing this several times and never finding a missed stitch, please help! I know I am just missing something in the video. Thank you so much!
Maybe try to watch another video of BeCozi to figure it out, it is not really possible to help not seeing what is done: ruclips.net/user/becozivideos
When changing colors at the beginning of the row....how do you know which color is over or under the one you just finished knitting. I get confused.
Old color is over
This is the best video I've seen. Wish I would have seen this before I made my first blanket. Now I'm going to try this design. Thank you so much 💗
You are welcome!
Is there a way to make different patterns, like knitting a heart or only a box with another color in the middle of the blanket or can I only switch colors at the end of the line?
Our channel has about 250 videos on Hand knitting, the biggest collection of videos on RUclips: ruclips.net/user/becozivideos
Hello, is it possible to do this with 3 colors instead of 2? I tried but there was too much loose yarn on the left side, so I think I need to stitch in the 1st color onto the first stitch of 3rd color row. But this wasn't working perfectly either. Or maybe I need to cut each color each time, and then connect it? Thank you!
It is possible to use 3 or more colors but then you will need to cut the yarn at the end of 3rd row and attach it by making a knot or burning the ends.
@@BeCozi thank you! I love your videos
Very Nice Great Job
