Slash is a genius for choosing Myles to be his solo singer. For some reason, the GNR songs fit his voice naturally yet it sounds refreshing and not "forced"
It's just so different when Steven is behind those drums. He's got the right feel and groove that no other drummer can pull off especially with this song.

Myles Kennedy is a stand up guy, fills in at short notice despite having to recreate some of the most iconic songs ever written in front of an audience expecting to see Axl Rose. That's a lot of pressure but he was phenomenal. He pitched it just right too, Myles didn't add too many of his own vocal inflections or highlight the unique timbre of his voice so as to change the spirit of the song or promote himself, he just sang the original really damn well to facilitate the performance for the rest GNR and let them shine. What a class act.

I took my husband to this for his birthday, we were upset that Axl didn't show up, but still a fabulous party. Watched beastie boys and red hot chili peppers get in as well. The best performance of the night was Green day, wow started the night with the Rocker kick ass performance!! Great memories.
