Lovely to see Newquay in the winter - if it hadn't been for the woolly hat we could have been fooled into thinking it was summer with the blue skies!

It's nice to check out places on the off-season, and like you said, give the businesses some much needed support during the winter. 😊

I love Whistlefish Galleries! I think the one in Falmouth was their first.
Good to see a lot of shops open in Newquay in January. Huge doughnuts.
Cornish pudding is a new one on me too! You had a friendly starling there.
The coast looked wonderful - Cornwall is truly at its best in January - I love it!
    Great video Louise!
    Cheers, Paul

Thank you Paul!! I must try one of those donuts next time I am there and will definitely do a taste test of the Cornish Pudding! I need to know how it tastes in the name of research! 🤣

Hi Louise, A great advert for Newquay in the winter, well done!!
I havent seen Cornish Pudding before, it did look good too. Those extra large doughnuts are a great idea for the beach, if your youngster gets into trouble in the water then simply through them a doughnut😆😅😅
It always brings back great memories seeing Newquay, one day I will go back!!
    All the best!!

Ah, I adore the beaches in that area. Newquay is blessed to have so many stunning beaches. I might have to do a ‘Bakeries of Newquay’ video one day with lots of taste tests!

Hi Louise, while in Newquay have you ever visited Lakeside cafe on Trevemper Rd, just down the hill from the zoo. It is a beautiful cafe set beside the lake and next to Trenance gardens which is just beautiful in the summer with all the roses in bloom and on summer Sunday mornings a lot of men and young boys sail their yachts on the lake.
Great video as always, keep them coming, best wishes, John in Plymouth.

I've just discovered your channel and subscribed to FB account as well! I love the content you present in your videos and the practical advice how to get there. I've been planning to visit Cornwall for years. Maybe it's time to do it this year. In summer 2022 I was on an organized couch tour across the UK and spent a few hours in Land's End only. I'm not a driver so the trip will have to be by trains/buses so each transport information I can find is very important. Is Newquay the best town to stay in and then take a bus/train to see the smaller villages along the coast, or maybe Penzance? When I was in Land's End a nice young man who was selling ice cream told me to go to Newquay. Is it really so easy to move by public transport between the villages? Love from snowy Poland🥰

      @SouthWestSundays  7 месяцев назад +1

Hi Izabela! Welcome to the channel! So pleased that you have discovered it and find it helpful!
I think the larger places like Newquay, Penzance or Truro make ideal places to base yourself as they have good public transport links to all over Cornwall. I can’t post a link here but look at the ‘Transport for Cornwall’ website. It’s a good start for planning your trips and has links to other helpful sites.

Louise! I really must complain about you showing all these irresistible cakes and pastries, just waiting to be eaten. Mary is drooling with the idea of visiting everyone of those bakeries.
I think I prefer Newquay in January. Much easier to enjoy the scenery with fewer people around your videos just keep getting better x
