Agreed. Everyone says gtps/snakes are difficult to care for...not true at all! Easiest and cleanest animal I ever cared for. All of my gtps are puppy tame if you know how to read them.
I’ve had a Biak locale gtp for about 4 years. After having this species and owning a wide variety of boas and pythons. Hands down my favorite. Not a snake if you want to handle and walk around with but great for viewing.
I like your videos because even the feeding videos teach and don't make it like a carny show. My son watched this one with me and was fascinated. And learned some facts.
These guys have to be the sexiest in the snake world. I've heard there are some species that are not as nippy and are pretty chill. Is that true? I have a Carpondro, but she is mostly Carpet, with a bit of GTP. She doesn't even like her perch except right after she does a big pooh. She's like "Get me off the ground." LMAO
Aru! That's the one. The mgr of the reptile store I go to has an Aru and he said that they are much more mellow, with work, as they get older. Hey, if you want a docile snake, get a BP, right? They are the sweethearts of the snake world.
First, love your videos! I actually met you when i went to k-state. Thing i found with green trees, is your really have to know their locale, i worked with Greg Maxwell, at sedgwick county zoo. You may know he was first to bring gtp to US. They have such a big range in locale, the care is different for each. Some need more humidity some dont. Impaction could be several things, but humidity also could be that varible. Great job on videos, keep it up.
I might have to hit him up when it comes a little closer to breed time. Also, if yall have an in with him, would love to start doing some on location filming at some of the zoos with some cool animals if he would be down.
The Green Tree Python is actually one of my dream snakes. I know they can lean to the aggressive side at times but I think they are a amazingly beautiful snake. Also Matt, do you have Reptile Prime in your store yet, i looked last couple times i was in to get supplies and i didn't see it, was not sure if you were out or if you are still waiting on it, or if i just overlooked it all together.
absolutley. a good substrate goes a long way. That cage has a very thick layer of it to help humidity, and also a heater on the bottom to heat that and cause humidity. top is covered to keep humidity in. mist is great, and keeping about the bottom two or three inches of the substrate wet is too.
Do they have the largest fangs of a no venomous snake as was very interesting in getting a snake just for display purposes only as I’ve been informed about they are very nippy and aggressive
Olympus Reptiles we tried heavy duty Velcro but the sticky part of it failed even though the Velcro was super strong and it fell in the middle of the night but my baby was smart and didn’t go on that stick but suction cups seem to work like the bamboo sticks hopefully you guys have found a solution though and if not good luck!
LISA PITTS this snake is not venomous. On my venomous no. One, it is dangerous and I wouldn't do that for free. Two, I would need all kinds of stuff to do that, equipment etc, and contacts/clients. Last, it would have to go to a lab. They then inject horses (mostly) to harvest the antibodies. That is then made into the antivenin that is sent to the hospital. Which they sell for the vastly over inflated price of around 6 to 10 k per.
I'm not gonna be one of the hippies crying about it, but I'm just wondering, why do you feed so much live pray to the snakes? Why not use frozen thawed?
Sindre Eide some is honestly because it's easy. We breed our own. This is much quicker than killing than feeding. I also think it helps prevent waste. I can only that a f/t twice. If not eaten then it is discarded. Live, if not eaten I just return to the colony
The biggest reason why I loved snakes and want a collection of them is because I love to watch them eat.
I have two snakes. Snakes are just so great because they are so easy to care for.
Agreed. Everyone says gtps/snakes are difficult to care for...not true at all! Easiest and cleanest animal I ever cared for. All of my gtps are puppy tame if you know how to read them.
Because it's green, it's a python, and it lives in trees. DRRRR
Ahh she’s so cute even when she eats I think gtp are the cutest little things with their little dragon snoots
gorgeous snake
I want you to know that I have learned so much from watching your videos, you are awesome! Thank you so much
love your videos, keep up the exellent work.
Amazing video man keep up the great work and that is a very beautiful green tree python
That mouse's NAP got violated hardcore

Sadly RUclips let's the sideshow ones stay and punishes me every time I do a feed

I have heard that sorong locale isn't as bad. I have also played with an Aru that was a sweetheart.

I don’t know what mine is lol but she’s very sweet and loves to cuddle and like the heat of my face and nesting in my hair
If your gtp takes live mice off of tongs then it'll take f/t with no issues.
She is so beautiful!

Stephen Miller locale certainly can effect them! Both I kept we're biak locale
Olympus Reptiles Greg Maxwell the god of knowledge when it comes to Chondros!

Hiii, I'd love one of them gtp's....lovely. Great video
"Check as long as you want!" Meanwhile 3 new videos pop up on the screen with 15 seconds of eating left. Great! :P
Would have to remind me what the check as long as you want is, I made this video over a year ago I think
Since snakes eat from sensing heat will turning the heat lamp off first make the rat more visible to the snake?
It might. But, He finds the food so well I don't think it would be neccessary, he just gets over stimulated. Very interesting theroy though.
I have a question. How do tree pythons get in that incredible shape where they are perched on the branch?
Susana kennedy they just rock lol
how did you modify the hood of the exo terra to retain so much humidity? im having an issue with mine atm..
Been wanting to get a GTP for so long. Someday..
Very nice snake.
It would have been cooler to let him retrieve the mouse from the ground
He used to take too long lol
@@OlympusReptiles 😂😂we can wait. Or speed it up
That's awesome
Are green tree pythons poisonous and is it safe to feed them mice? Thanks and my greatest apologies
No, and yes
no, because no snake on the planet is poisonous
Love the videos keep the good work up
1:13 I have those same leaves for my crested gecko tank

Tony Barnes it should be there!! We have had multiple orders of it
Guess i am just missing it, next time i am in i will ask which ever one of you is there for it. I really wanna try it out.
Do you guys have to worry about the humidity of your snakes?

Is stuck uraide common in BP ? My one lil girl seemed to have one last week then I got it to pass with soaking and massaging
Not to common, but not uncommon
Awesome snakes bro nice
i felt so bad for that little mice even though it is a feeder i think all creatures get to live😔
yiqin wang why did u click then
Are they very expensive?? Is because I was planning to get one some time but I don’t know how much it worths?
Gabo RB expensive is all relative, but I think a nice one can be found around $300
Do they have the largest fangs of a no venomous snake as was very interesting in getting a snake just for display purposes only as I’ve been informed about they are very nippy and aggressive
Graham Mackie not sure where the length of the teeth rank, but both theses and emerald tree boas are known to have a mouth full of daggers.
Love gtp.
How do u make the sticks go across
Not very well lol. The setup I had here didn't work so we built a new one that is a cage insert
Do you donate the snakes venom to hospitals so that they can make anti- venom?..

Pythons aren't venomous. Duh!
My gpt is kinda a dick
👍 👍 😁
Were your GTP's imports or CBB? You should also give him a second perch option
tj2gq4u captive bred. He did have one, listen to the video. I state he broke it and I need to repair it. He had a higher and lower one.
I'm not gonna be one of the hippies crying about it, but I'm just wondering, why do you feed so much live pray to the snakes? Why not use frozen thawed?

Man, change that setup, smaller and multiple perches. Hope u let that setup dry out a bit before you wet it down again or you could get ri.
First comment as always ❤️🤣
Bad imagen,don't wasnothing
I have no idea what you are trying to say
