I feel like you guys need to start expanding. Meet with growers and farmers from other states and teach others more about agriculture. What y'all are doing is amazing and there's more opportunities for the world to learn about differences of other states ag and expenses and seasons.
We are less than a mile from the elevator but we are switching to semi trucks. We live in southern Ontario and we deal with citiots living in the country. Too dangerous to haul wagons.
another great one guys, I am a small business owner who worked for one of the large OEM manufacturers and now trying to carve out a spot with my own product in the concrete construction industry. I grew up on a small farm in west central mn and can relate to hard times and the importance of sharing that knowledge with our children. I have always wondered if it would still be possible to go back to doing more physical farming with less money on smaller farms to be self dependent like I remember as a child when the guys worked on the farm all day and mom worked out of house 8-5 and returned for chores to the farms now getting so large that never quits growing.
I had 3 70’s trucks by time I was 16 and had to get them all running started a frame off on 1 when I was 14 (still in progress lot more time consuming than I thought) started building a performance engine for my 2nd one (go fast parts are expensive and ran out of expander money) and parted the third one out I just turned 20, I’ve still got a bunch to learn in life
Now, would you just look here. This man has pieced together the da-gone American dream. My people are from Missouri, I played football for the University Of Tennessee, and all I’ve ever wanted was to farm and raise cattle, hogs and chickens. RUclips has brought us all so much closer together and I just can’t get enough! But, I will say this … my grandfather taught me that you can’t level up every year.
Everyone has got a nic name. Everything is online nowadays All prices across the board have gone up but, the bottom line has remained the same. You are going to see more and more farmers keeping their tractors for longer or you are going to see farmers selling because they bet the farm to the gate post.
Extremely good year for corn in Michigan some farms been already taken it down two weeks ago those who needed it second week of September is going to be busy
High inventory and high interest rates. Never a good combination. Now Kamala Harris wants to "price fix". That would be the final nail in the coffin for small and medium-sized operations.
I think you are missing out on where all of the markups and crazy profit is going; into big corporate entites like Conagra, JBS, John Deere, etc. Both farmers and consumers are getting screwed by these big mega companies operating uncompetitive monopolies that suck up all of the money. These companies will keep doing this while all of us pleebs are distracted fighting each other over dumb things like culture wars and politics. Instead of dumb culture wars, we have to find a way as people to hold all of these big companies and investors sucking all of the money out of the economy. Unfortunately, our current path is blindly thinking a particular presidential candidate is our soul mate, and letting feelings get in the way of spending time and energy on holding companies accountable for ruining the US and sucking all of the money, assets, and jobs out of it.
Her proposal is anti price gouging by grocery stores in times of stress or panic (such as natural disasters). Many states already have laws against gouging, this would just be a federal law to protect all Americans from the predatory hikes. It wouldn't fix grocery prices, and it wouldn't affect any commodity prices. It would still need to be proposed and passed by Congress, presidents don't make laws. Pull your head away from the TV.
Hopefully she dont get elected But by god if she does We thought sleepy joe was bad Shes gonna really throw a monkey wrench in our way of life Major fuckery
All these simi trucks that your seeing for sale everywhere is the trucking companies going out of business. It's cheaper to buy a used simi than a used diesel pickup in my area.
Ryan Kelly should come back and do an episode if he ever has time, love these guest episodes
