I’m a retired PADI Master Instructor and I loved solo diving. Especially at spots that were illegal. They usually had the clearest water. Keep going girl.
Your story and your power and vulnerability in your videos are an inspiration to me. I've been thinking about my time in the water and i realize that I too want to dive and travel in my van with my dog. I hope to dive with you someday Sarah or at least cross paths. I soak in the Salish Sea nearly every day. If you are on the Olympic Pennisula look me up. I know there is great diving to be had.
I love those conversations. "Hay, can I dive here?" "I...don't, don't know, maybe." So many people in positions of power could just say "no", and its magical when they error on the side of interest, helpfulness, and excitement.
Awe as always. Also, just have to say (and I'm sure I'm not the only one to notice) I really appreciate all the work that must go into presenting these. You're a one-person operation doing the planning and execution and it's pretty remarkable.
Thank you so much! It really does take a long time to do these and that’s why I don’t get out as many videos as I would like, but I’m happy to share and teach in this format. I appreciate you!
cool stuff... i've always been a fan of lake diving. had some killer opportunities to dive Crater Lake in Oregon so i get the whole situation of diving NPS... however fortunately I actually got to dive with the NPS biologists that are stationed on the lake so that was really amazing!
@@AzulUnlimited yes, it was super cool! totally amazing experience! i know at one point it was the clearest lake in the world. we had like 150+ ft. vis, nuts. also the deepest in NA, and like the 7th deepest in the world at 2000' :) it's doable, but you'd probably need at least 1 non-diver to help you with equipment to get down to the lake then back up again. no carts or anything allowed on the trail and it's just over a mile hike with about 1000' elevation difference between rim and lake surface. if you ever get the chance tho i highly recommend it! of course i had the good luck of the NPS biologists using their quad to haul everything down and up for us, PLUS we got out on their research vessel and got to dive some spots that virtually no one but them get to dive. super great memory :)
Very nice footage! I totally would dive there! Looks similar to a lake I'll be diving next weekend actually (if my cold subsides 🤞). Very much looking forward to that. It'll be my first really cold cold water diving. Got my 7mm hood, got my gloves, got my warm undergarment. I'm ready! 😁
yup, we saw your nose harrs earlier in the video! LOL! I'm visiting Bozeman, MT right now, Billings on Monday... That was a cool underwater world! How deep did you dive? I think I have only been like 30-40 ft in Greers Ferry Lake (heber springs, ar). Hopefully your mice issue is resolved! Cheers!
Did Goop fix the leaks? I had a similar situation in glacier national park. Many years ago we were diving underwater forest we didn’t realize we pulled into a daytime only used area and we were night diving there. The Ranger was not impressed with the Scuba Diver‘s. Needless to say, there is some awesome diving in glacier national park lake McDonald
Ooo cool! I’ll add that to my list. The goop is a good temporary solution but I’m going to take it off, sand down the rusty parts, repaint and do a long term treatment
So what happened the mouse...? 🐭 (I don't do patreon). Great video, you make learning good stuff fun and entertaining; and your work out is intimidating for mere mortals...😆
You're Brilliant! And Problem solving rain 🌧️ issues better than those "geniuses" at Burning Man! (I shouldn't throw shade) Thank you for sharing this Lake adventure. Inspired! Keep moving forward.
Depends on what you want to do and your body size. I’ve found the Hollis sidemount systems to be a little big for smaller bodies. One thing to note about all of these options is that they have clips on the harness which will make it easier to get in and out of them, but if you’re doing serious technical diving, you’ll want a system without them.
Always remember... part of the outdoor adventurer's creed... "that It's always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission"... es verdad?🤔 We have all been there... having one of God's little creatures nibble our belongings into tiny little shreds... 🤣 Boy it sure is true... dawn some gear and appear to know where you our going... and like magic 🪄transformed into knowledgeable trail guide! 🤣 Great dive sequence... takes me back to my open water certification days in the northeast (Pennsylvania)... the days before I became BAJA spoiled! Viva Mexico! I will even add a workout comment.... plyometrics and balancing... very key... so few people train that way... 💪 ALL IN ALL... A VERY VERY ENJOABLE VLOG!... at least in my world!👍 Buena suerte y vaya con Dios.... 🌵☀😎
Yeah… I don’t mess with asking for forgiveness after the fact when posting a video on RUclips is involved. I want everything cleared and okayed so I don’t get hit with fines or anything worse😬
I have O2 and dive insurance. In this situation I had the support of the transfer boat crew. Other places I’ve been more on my own and I adjust my dive plan to be more conservative.
I know the feeling, can you at least wait until I've dropped the 50+lb tank off my shoulder. But I think it is because you look like you know what you are doing.

This is your sign to DO IT! It's not a glamorous life, but if you are ok with the challenges, my goodness it is incredible.

Absolutely. Everyone at grand Teton was AMAZING. Aside from the persistent mice, of course.
Sending you and Abby hugs🤗🤗
Your videos always put a smile on my face.

That makes me so happy 🥰 thank you for the support. Abby sends stinky kisses.

Beautiful nose hairs 💁♀️ I went to 100ft.
I ended up skipping montana and I’m so bummed about that. Another time😏
Loved it, your fitness.. wow.
Thanks! I’m kind of a nut about being active. I love it🤓

Hehehe thank you. It took many days and a lot of cleaning but I’m mouse free😉
Whoa, one fish!
The most beautiful fish in the lake😆
Amazing video! So good. How much is the ferry ride? Can you just choose to ride any of the return trips back during the day?
The boat ride is $20 round trip. You can do one way for $12 and then hike back too.
Have you tried diving the Cuyuna mine pits in Minnesota?
I have not! I may have to check it out one day…👀
You're Brilliant! And Problem solving rain 🌧️ issues better than those "geniuses" at Burning Man! (I shouldn't throw shade) Thank you for sharing this Lake adventure. Inspired! Keep moving forward.
Eeep. That situation DOES NOT look like fun… Thanks for watching🙏
Glad you didn't get slapped with a hefty fine!! But, hey the vis looked pretty good.
Me too! I was so worried when she started getting out her ticket pad 😅
can you help me please.Dive Rite Nomad txt and hollis 50 or75 How should I choose? I just completed 100 dives and want to dive sidemount。

Thank you! The ‘I see you, good human’ hat Is my friend’s brand. Their website is in the description😊
Always look forward to your videos, "mediocre RUclipsr"? I think not! "Inspiring RUclipsr"? Definitely!
Looking forward to your Yucatan visit 😊
Hehehe Aww thank you 🥰
Pregnant squirrel 🐿️… ???
Right??? Maybe… but all of them were huge and very persistent about getting food from people
If you bend, do you have oxygen. If you bend who takes you to emergency services and DAN chamber.

It’s a blessing and a curse 🤣
Look up fat Gus. It's probably a pregnant female.
But like, are all of them pregnant? Cuz they’re all huge up there!
