I go to this university and my friend was in the marching band here playing this. Apparently the story behind why the band director chose Idol by BTS is something along the lines of he wanted one of the marching band's half time shows to surround the theme of "World Music." So he asked his wife what to include and she said kpop. I might have forgotten a thing or two of the story, it's been over a year. I remember hearing the band practicing from my dorm and thinking it was BTS, but then dissuading myself because why would a normal college band from the states play a kpop song... that is until my band friend confirmed it was BTS they were playing.
Idol is perfect for hyping up the audience. It doesn't matter if you sing, doing fanchants or make such a great arrangement for a brass band. I'm totally in love!! Thank you very much. 💜
OMG, how did I miss this?? I can't think of anything more "American" than a marching band at a football game at halftime. Of course BTS has arrived in the US!! Two years ago already!
This is amazing. I love how their music can go from NPR Tiny Desk to massive stadium with marching band and sound equally good in both, versatility is the best! Props to TUDMB for that amazing performance, that kicked ass!

The last time I went to Walmart down here in lil ole Texas, they were playing BTS and in their book section there was more than a few magazines and books about BTS for sale.
2021 and still watch this video. I hope some of you guys are lucky enough to get tickets to BTS’s PTD Concerts. It doesn’t attest which seating, it will be an awesome experience to all you guys.
