I don't understand how she's not more "famous" like she has everything, the looks, the talent, the personality, she's well spoken, she's seems like a genuine person and hella sweet. I love her

cause people who'll be tend to like her stays away from shows that she does aka "woke shows" that's why. If you put her in an american romance drama like the Notebook, you'll be sure that she'll become an instant star overnight. it doesn't help that chris evans who has antagonize and alienated the fans that would surely loved her is dating her also.

@@mszigetihu true! i learned english easily and can speak like her, because i watched many american movies, listened to a lot of music. and in Portugal movies come with subtitles, so, that's a plus, and lets not forget she has a mother who's a translator...
@@mszigetihu To become fluent and only have the slightest foreign accent requires several thousand hours of practice, which is usually only possible through immersion. Taking a class or two in secondary school doesn't result in this level of mastery.
It’s more common in European countries for people to speak multiple languages.
Of course she is Portuguese! The way she answers the questions is so enjoyable to listen and one can tell she is speaking her mind. Proud in being Portuguese! :)

I don't think so. She seems very real and conscious about the dangerous things in the Hollywood industry. You can see it clearly in some answers from her in this interview.

And again, it requires minimal acting. I never meant to offend actors, they only play the role that is given to them in exchange for money.
Its fun to see the difference between the person Alba and the character Ava. Makes me love the character and be impressed by the acting all the more.

Definitely! I got a lot of Ellie vibes from her in the first episodes of Warrior Nun when she practices for the first time in the church. Her sarcasm, jokes and way of thinking in the tv series would fit perfectly for TLOU show!

I began watching 'Warrior Nun' some time ago and I continued during the Christmas season of 2020. I think Alba's pronunciation of (American) English is absolutely amazing for someone from Portugal. I've been in Canada 4 or 5 times in my life (only once in Portugal) and I got compliments for my English pronunciation, but I'm a 1000% sure I will never be able to compete with Alba. I'm from Holland and I've got this 'dialect-radat', but I haven't heard a milligram of Portuguese accent in this interview. If I'd just watched this interview without knowing she's from Portugal I could have sworn she was from L.A. or so. Except for this: I love the show and since I left some time between the first and the last episodes of season 1 I'm definately going to watch all of season 1 once more before season 2 begins. Alba, you're great. Keep it up. Maybe you could learn to speak Dutch some time. I'm sure you'd get the knack within a few days.

I had a heart attack there for a moment, when she spoke perfect German. Just a tad of mediterranean inflection on a word or two. Didn't notice at first, but her English accent is more German than Portuguese. Pretty impressive what she said about the acting business and planing her career. She speaks very smartly. That alone should earn her a great career and personal fulfillment.

@@GoldMember995 Well yes, she speaks English like a girl version of me. Not strong at all, but there. Words like "easy", "wise", "party", "specific", "pressure" and "hurry" had a hint of german accent, while "join", "disrupt" and "where" were more romancy.

Great series, strange name, highly recommended. Alba is a wonderful actress as are many others in the show. The story is highly engaging, it is not perfect but the ride is great fun. Hope for a 2nd series. See also Fort Salem (BBC).
