What an excellent episode! You made me long for Colorado and fishing. Beautiful!! Great job man! Thanks for this one! I’m desperate to go there someday. Cheers, Trever
There are some really great high altitude spots out here, Trever! Let me know when you make it out this way and we'll hit some water together. Had a great time on this particular trip. that big ole cutthroat sure was a beauty!
Hey Pat, sure I'll do a rundown of all that stuff as soon as I get into the Big Tent. Be on the lookout for it roughly the first part of December. Thanks for the video idea! ~ Brian

It's nice to see that area again. I'm really happy you're in better health to get back to you favorite spots. I hope to get my Tenkara out a little more before winters comes. Cheers!
That was a nice fish and it looked super tasty to me. I have not had trout in awhile, but I think you're inspiring me to go get some. Also, that Willys Jeep caravan was pretty cool too. I'd imagine there are not too many trails that could keep those old yet incredibly solid machines away.
Brian you will know you have found the right woman when you love her the same or as much as YOUR dog 🐕 Sierra; and I feel the same about a 👨 hahaha 😂 🤣 😆 Love how you ♥️ Sierra!
Hey there Brian! I’ve been coming out to the mountain back country my whole life from Wisconsin and recently moved to Colorado Springs and was looking to get back to the back country. If you have some time to chat I’d love to talk
i know that many places in colorado where cutthroat is release only. If anyone has extra insight let me know - my best guess is this is a location where that preserve act is disregarded
Cutthroat are one of the most abundant and self sustaining fish in all of Colorado. The only places I know of that have release only restrictions on cutthroats are the native streams and lakes which house greenback cutthroats.
Not true, they are one of the absolute least self sustaining fish in all of colorado. Most All of those lakes are stocked and very very few are successfully reproducing.
@@bigsteezer924 LOL I just laugh at these comments. Maybe if you all didn't go to your local stocked pond. Try hiking into wilderness areas where no one goes. The only lakes in those areas that get restocked are due to winter kill. SMH at your lack of knowledge.
@@OffGridBackcountryAdventures its kind of funny because i was just in a wilderness area catching cutties bigger than this last week at a lake Id never been to and was the only one camping there. Have also traveled the world catching large wild trout. But sure..Ill keep chasing the stocking truck. Colorado fishing youtubers are the worst lmao..triggered much?
Hello Sir, in the most respectful way, I would take this down before the ol’ govy boys see this video or you get reported. It is 100% illegal to keep cutthroats in Colorado. I hope you don’t think I’m hating that was a beautiful fish. Just looking out for you. (I live here as well). Have a good one. Hope you take my advice.

Best video I’ve seen in a while
OMGOODNESS How GORGEOUS! This is the best!
wow nice fish!
At 13 I learned to drive in a 42 Willys. What fun!
Right on, these are such cool rigs!

If you make it out here then let's be sure to connect for some fishing and campfires!
@@OffGridBackcountryAdventures sure thing man
Didnt know you were allowed to keep those.Awesome trout.
Yeah ... he got his just desserts. Skunked the next day and overrun by invaders! Bring up some spam next time!😁
Hey Brian would you do a video on your winter hot tent and gear that you use. Your truck as well please. Very interested in knowing.
Hey Pat, sure I'll do a rundown of all that stuff as soon as I get into the Big Tent. Be on the lookout for it roughly the first part of December. Thanks for the video idea! ~ Brian
Lol how about a camp set up video as well. Another video idea. And also are all of your sites actual campgrounds.
How fun are those old timer jeeps! What a fun group!
That fish!!! What a monster!!!
I was floored when I got it into my net!
Have you ever tried to use moisture absorber packets to help with condensation in your truck? They’re super cheap and effective.
I've not tried that yet, have to give it a go next time I'm truck camping.
Ohh man so glad i fouind this channel again! I lost you after the rebrand!
I saw them in Salida getting ready to start their trip. You should check out the Ark River at Helca Junction CG.
Have not been to that lake for a long time. Nice fish. Wow the mine on the road has really fallen down since I was last there.
GREAT ENDING ~peace~
Great video!
Fished there many times...very historic mining and railroad area. Nice cut!
Thanks Tuba Dude, having this big hog on the line was a great way to start the week!
Great episode Brian, helping me get my Colorado fix!

Αυτό το ψάρι ήταν ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα που έχω πιάσει, έκανε ένα υπέροχο γεύμα!

Thanks Mark, I sure am glad to be feeling better these days!
You might consider a portable electric bear fence for shore lunches or camping in bear country. 2.4 lbs for huge peace of mind.
OMG that looked yummy!! Glad you were able to enjoy the day and great fishing!!
Isn’t this near the Sasquatch sighting?
Hey Dan, good memory! Yes, this is near where the incident took place.
@@OffGridBackcountryAdventures that story still gives me the creeps
I have never cought a trout that big! Congratulations! Regards from Ody Slim

Sadly. due to people abusing and trashing Walmart parking lots. many no longer allow overnight parking.
Oh those trap let me so hungry
You guys out fishing in them rural areas do you have problem the game Warden checking your license
Hi Rick, I've never seen a game warden in the backcountry in all my years. I carry a license but have yet to get it checked out by anyone official.
I would have packed a can of tuna and let this fish go
I love eating trout. This place produces massive fish and they are abundant so it's alright to harvest a few from time to time.
😳 🐟👍
