    FAQs-
    Q: "Where is this?"
A: Our fire house is located in the town of Willow Street, just south of Lancaster City, Lancaster County Pennsylvania.
Q: "What is the spinning thing?"
A: That is called the "Roto-Ray," it is a spinning light designed to catch drivers attention.
Q: "Why is the call so far away?" or "Why does it take so long to get there?"
A: Many of our responses, or at least many of the ones that are uploaded are responding to assist other departments. Usually another firehouse can be seen or is passed by who is already on the call. We can reach the far end of our first due in West Lampeter Twp within 5 minutes, and in Providence Twp about 7.
Q: "What camera are you using?"
A: For dash cams I use a GoPro Hero 12 Black, helmet cam videos I use a FireCam 1080

Just had an interview with my local volunteer department yesterday. I need to sign a paper to okay a background check and then I can hopefully start with them.

1:27 and 0:35 seriously unnecessary for those two drivers to not yield to you. On the flip side kudos to the driver at 8:26 who had enough situational awareness to back up.

Flipping heck that school bus driver needs a 101 on what sirens and flashing lights mean (A few other cars could use that reminder as well lol).

Love it when they say don't run over the hose but they leave it in middle of the road.

Maybe you have no business in the area where supply lines are in use. Use you brain!!?

In emergencies, normal rules go out the window and the emergency rules take precedence

The fact that yall have to wait for the light to turn green is anyoing but at the same time i understand (this is just me assuming) but like they 2 seconds could be a difference at the end of the day

we are allowed to run red lights; we just have to check intersections for traffic. most fire departments also have the ability to change the lights, for instance my department is able to turn the lights along our route green.

If the traffic light has an opticom then it usually isn’t red it turns green for them. However the specific stoplights that don’t have opticom will not give preference to one vehicle over another or distinguish their importance that’s why they run those red lights. Majority of their lights in their area do have opticom which I’m sure gets them on their way much faster and easier/safer.

Guess you've never had the joy of riding in one of these on your way to an emergency.

Cars have a sound seal thing, so with that and a radio you can barely hear a siren. So yes it's all about the noise

All you do is show going to the scene and nothing else so why record stuff like this when you can't show what going on at the scene

They have videos where they are on scene doing on scene stuff, ever bothered looking?

Sir this is a RIDE along video, Not a ON SCENE video. I personally like the ride alongs bc of the Air horns and Q siren. If you wanna see some on scene footage look on this channel. As Jack said they have On scene videos.
