Honestly I don't like playing punk much, cause every other punk songs has the same beats and it's either the snare on every 2nd beat or every beat. It's not as interesting to play as for example (my favourite band) Avenged Sevenfold. And I'm kinda missing the dynamics with punk, barely any punk song slows down or has like a calm part, that makes the crash filled fast parts enjoyable. Another thing I personally love about Avenged Sevenfold.
I love punk rock's raw, pure vibe. And you always show that charming point hahaha. That's why your videos are great! I bought gibson satin ebony flying v today! I have to play some punk rock on it hahaha. Anyway I want to play drum because of this video ^^b
Hey man, that drums sound sick! I have the same ones myself but they dont sound even close to that, could you make a video showing your config? Keep rocking!
Maybe its because I'm a drummer but this is my favourite that Ive seen of yours. So much so that I'm now subscribed. Also, is that a TD4? I'm thinking of upgrading my electronic kit and seen a few of those going second hand.
god, punk makes me feel great The second half of the pop punk part actually didn't sound bad, reminded me of NOFX a bit. First half was typical pop punk bs
Funnily enough, I was just about to search for punk drummers playing an electric kit! I have a DM10 and am really liking it! Try playing some lagwagon!
You have a bit of a Ferris Bueller thing going on! Awesome content, btw. I love punk music, especially AFI, Distillers, Transplants, Tiger Army, and Misfits.
Hope this is just sarcasm, because: 1- pop punk (at best) 2- alternative rock 3- punk rock (maybe?) 4- not the right hi hat style for ska 5- punk rock (closer) 6- ok... 7- punk rock (again) 8- alternative rock (again) 9- alternative rock (again) 10- if you say so Nice drumming and set, keep it up!
@@DanielSwisherMusic Yes Sir, I am doing very well with the metal stuff, I would like to say your videos have made me appreciate punk music too yeah yeah
You should make an album where each of the songs is a different style of punk, something like: 1. Punk rock song 2. Crust punk song 3. Folk punk song 4. Pop punk song Idk
Man dude you really improved your vids :))) Edit: i like to think that if skate punk was in the vid itd just be hardcore but with more tongue and faster lol
@@DanielSwisherMusic good point. Though most hardcore is usually just your toms and kick snares while skate punk loves the hi hat. Maybe just a d beat joke wouldve done it lol
I listen on a daily to 7 out 10 styles of punk to live a stable life and those 7 are punk rock, hardcore punk, ska punk, crust punk, anachro punk, emo and post hardcore I love my variety of bands because of punk being the base of it I won’t change it for anyone
Hey everyone breaking out the drums today! What's your favorite style of punk drummer?
*mine is either ska or hardcore but i enjoy all types of punk genres*
Harddd
Street punk or pop punk
Pop Punk
Punk Rock/Punk Rock´n´Roll - Tré Cool!
There should’ve been one on there just titled “Travis Barker” lmao
I think Travis Barker encompasses all of the above haha
basically the hardcore punk
I agree! 🤣💪🏻⚡
@@sam6210a don't forget he has been a member of the ska band the aquabats too!
And it's nothing but drawn out snare fills
Really have to say, punk is one of the most enjoyable genres of music to play on the drums. It’s incredibly fun!
Totally agree
it really is it’s what i specialize in
Tbh for me not really, it's all the same shit, but pop punk like blink, +44 etc fuck yeah

If you love punk I bet you’ll love punk based genre Grindcore. Listen to acid feast
That "post hardcore" riff was pretty awesome sounding.
Check out "unholy confessions" by Avenged sevenfold
Check out "Spirit Crusher" by Death
I love how it looks like you have a lot of fun whilst you play, that energy if you pardon the pun is contagious!
i think daniel’s electric drums are small
Yep
Ay you gotta work with what you have! It’s not about the kit, it’s about the drummer
Ya think?
I like it I think its sexy in my opinion
Gotta give it to him this dude is a pretty sick drummer!
Okay, your hardcore, ska, Celtic, Folk, anarcho-punk and crust drumming and drumming faces had me rolling!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
love the pfp

I'm changing it soon for when I begin to make actual content on my channel, along with my name.
You know this is gonna be good when that snare's about to go off

Awesome! I always liked the flying v but haven't gotten to play one yet
Nice. I have a Flying V as well... Playing punk and metal...
0:43 Sounds just like every Scott Raynor era blink-182 track
Best era
Sounds like hardwire - metallica
@@gabriellevesque-lessard5052 incorrect
Especially for the ones hearing it on the scene before Blink copied it.
The emo drumming and the guitar got me 😭 the feels 🖤
As it should
I love how he used the "spit it out" (metallica) sample riff for the hardcore punk one
No. Hardwired to self-destruct.
Yes. Im a stan.
Love the drumming faces
I never knew there were so many styles of punk music
I didn’t know Paul McCartney had a RUclips channel
My man’s high hat is louder than his crash symbol
The look while playing the ride cymbal on the Ska track had me in stitches….great video!
Got the notification and yeah you know...
Nice vid man!
Thank you!
and one more type is “travis barker”
I was thinking that too
I've been listening to punk for so long and I never knew how to tell the difference, thanks dude!
I like how we are named the same way haha. Anyway I love your energy and emotion while playing
That post hardcore riff is awesome
Your face acting was really fun!
Hardcore drummers are always slouched
Hey man, that drums sound sick! I have the same ones myself but they dont sound even close to that, could you make a video showing your config? Keep rocking!
could be superior drums or ssd5
It sounds like Getgood Drums: Modern & Massive to me.
Very good video! excellent demonstration and it's always punk time !!! greetings from Chile ...
you forgot "d-beat, beating the hell out of hats but can't hear the snare"
the hardcore punk section reminds me of something off of Hardwired to Self Destruct
Can't pick a favorite style
Maybe its because I'm a drummer but this is my favourite that Ive seen of yours. So much so that I'm now subscribed.
Also, is that a TD4? I'm thinking of upgrading my electronic kit and seen a few of those going second hand.
Awesome glad to have you on board! Yes, it is a roland TD4
The kick: nonexistent.
The high-hat: needs some milk.
Nice, man!
He looks so happy playing Celtic punk XD
This was really funny to see!
Thank you very much :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Finally a video! Great channel ma man
great video! love the energy
you forgot to add in the kick drum mate
god, punk makes me feel great
The second half of the pop punk part actually didn't sound bad, reminded me of NOFX a bit. First half was typical pop punk bs
I just made my first pop punk song and it’s so simple and fun.
This video made me go search for some celtic punk songs and now it's just my favourite punk subgenre. Lol
the first one is very ramones-esque. the godfathers of punk
Funnily enough, I was just about to search for punk drummers playing an electric kit! I have a DM10 and am really liking it! Try playing some lagwagon!
What’s the song for “Punk Pop”?
Why is your bassdrum so low? Just curious
You have a bit of a Ferris Bueller thing going on! Awesome content, btw. I love punk music, especially AFI, Distillers, Transplants, Tiger Army, and Misfits.
Hope this is just sarcasm, because:
1- pop punk (at best)
2- alternative rock
3- punk rock (maybe?)
4- not the right hi hat style for ska
5- punk rock (closer)
6- ok...
7- punk rock (again)
8- alternative rock (again)
9- alternative rock (again)
10- if you say so
Nice drumming and set, keep it up!
need more of the hardcore, crust, skate stuff
The kick is off
Too high or too low? Appreciate the feedback!
Missing D-beat, blast beat Thrashcore, Breakdowns .. Great video anyways👍😊🤟
Pop punk song ?
Daniel could you put in your description a list of all the original songs? Cheers, great video btw
Hello these are all original parts to fit the different genres, but they are not full songs so I don't have any links to songs :/
Perfect
1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 10 are my favourites... I even believe i could come up with some songs off the top of my head for those specifically, lmao!
The facial expressions while playing gives more fun to play😅
This was great man, thanks for posting! God bless :)
When you played crust punk i think it was thrash
Makes me wonder what kind of drummer Bob Bryar is.
The best I've seen and heard!
1:10 You mean there's a subgenre that hates corruption as much as I do?!
0:59 zeke & luther
1:10 green day
Dan is back at it with the punk stuff
Thanks Mr. Hetfield hope you're doing well with the metal stuff

You should make an album where each of the songs is a different style of punk, something like:
1. Punk rock song
2. Crust punk song
3. Folk punk song
4. Pop punk song
Idk
that would be more like an EP, but it's a nice idea.
Did you feel as cramped as you look behind that kit? Doesn't look like there's a whole lot of wiggle room back there...
That Post-hardcore song at 2:36 sounds a lot like "Lagi dan Lagi" by Indonesian rock band Andra and the Backbone.
Finally, someone that know about hardcore and crust
What are those lights in the background?
that high tom placement.. 😭😭
Man dude you really improved your vids :)))
Edit: i like to think that if skate punk was in the vid itd just be hardcore but with more tongue and faster lol

2:34 - 2:43 please make full version 😭😭
0:44 Great Metallica reference to their song "Hardwired"
Ok, new info for me: folk punk and celtic punk 😆👍 thanks
When i heard the pop-punk style, inmediatly thought in Handle This of Sum 41
What drums do you play on this video?
It is a Roland TD-4 electronic drum kit. The drum software I use is GetGood Drums!
What’s with the really high Tom like what do you have that set too
Pop punk- cyrus balooki
Nice fun vid
Post punk where is it?
Anybody else catch that unholy confessions knock off💀💀 good work my man that is v cool
Definitely a bit of Celtic in 21st century breakdown
All are amazing styles but I couldnt stop staring at the damn hi hat bouncing around!
1:04 I immediately thought GOLDFINGER
I enjoy seeing punk McCartney playing drums
What song is the one that u played for "Emo"?
That small break in hardcore punk somehow reminds me of metallica?
I love the part of "Pop Punk"-Style. Is that a song of a any band?
Amazing!!
why is the hi hat so wobbly lmao
Get this man a more spread out kit before he gets tendonitis!
I'm in love with that Hi-Hat! 😅
You shoulda done skate punk too and if you don’t know how that sounds listen to early blink 182 like dude ranch or Cheshire Cat or listen to nofx

I didn't even know there were so many subgenres of punk

What's the name of the 3rd song? Please
Can anyone tell me the riff he played for the emo part? Asking for a friend
There should have been one called “Tré cool”
