You also have to understand Jeannie has Asian in her and her up bringing may be a bit different from these other women. Most Asian women are very submissive it’s who they are and how they were brought up
That's not what she's saying she saying submitting is what's best for who she is and in her relationship. This doesn't apply to all women. The points they raise are also valid.
I understand what Jeannie was saying about her marriage and she is the only that can speak on her experience because it’s her experience I also luv how humble she is and I think she did great with her dance !!!!

Remember at the beginning of her relationship when Jeanie talked about Jeezy wanting to take her to the airport and she being like, nah, I'll uber, but he was like, 'no, I'm your man, I got u, I'll drop you off'. She let him. That's submitting. Letting him feel like he can protect and provide without feeling like he id not needed. She submitted to him taking care of her. That's how I see it. Not running his bath water and being at his call all the time. Most women will submit to THE man who speaks to the Queen in them. I'm just saying. Ok. I'm done now👋🏾
They legit weren't listening to ANYTHING Jeannie was saying. She never said Jeezy would be above her. She said he would express his opinion, she would express hers, and in the end he would make a decision that works for both of them.
@@steven9265 submitting means that you trust your partner to make the final decision for both of you. If you weren't submitting, you would make whatever decision you wanted.
Robotic Secks gurl what does this have to say with her being divorced. Matter fact she is engaged now and she is happy to let her new man lead her BY CHOICE.
Whenever I hear this issue of submission brought up, they only talk about the woman's side. It also says that the husband is supposed to honor his wife and be willing to lay down his life for her. He's not supposed to be a harsh dictator who keeps her barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen.
Jeannie is for equality and partnership but she just wants to occupy a different role as a wife in her marriage...her choice. She’s not saying she wants to be silenced or taken advg in her marriage. It works for her.
The difference is... Jeannie has now found a man she wants to submit too. She didn’t want to submit to her previous husband. Lonnie doesn’t want to submit to James because James doesn’t make her feel comfortable in being submissive. I guarantee you Tamera would say she submits to Adam.
That makes no damn sense,if she's not comfortable with submitting to him and allow him to lead why the hell is he your husband? She should have chosen someone else to marry🤦🏾♂️

The first woman says never submit that’s why she’s divorced twice and waiting to live with cats, Adrainne is married to an old man who is dealing with her for as long as he can. Loni is something else because she’s afraid of marriage Because she fears she will fail so don’t listen to her if you want a successful marriage. Jennie be yourself and you will have a successful marriage.
The man that you are in a relationship with has to be WORTHY OF SUBMISSION. That's the part that everyone is missing. The man is also in submission TO GOD. You can't just pick up any street rat and be like yes daddy lead me. If you do that, then obviously, you are going to find yourself in an abusive and toxic relationship. Find a man worthy of your respect, love and admiration because of his character and your trust in his ability to make the right decisions and lead and only then can you submit. That's why Jeannie is willing to submit to Jeezy and she wasn't willing to submit to Freddie.
Speak on it! Furthermore submit to your husband not a man you've been on again off again with that can't commit to marriage! The man needs to be deserving!
I think tamera would said that she has a 50/50 situation with Adam. Tamera has been very vocal about her marriage with Adam and he listens to her. More importantly they listen to each other. That’s what’s really important. Being submissive to you man is not an issue when y’all know how to communicate.
I'm with Jeannie here!!! In these modern times, the word ‘submissive' has been heavily subjected to negative connotations due to the misunderstanding of it’s meaning leading to a common misconception that submission is the act of giving up one’s power when in fact it is the voluntary exchange of power between two people. It allows both parties to be confident in their vulnerability. We understand submissive to mean inferior, obedient, docile and conformable, whereas, when referring to holistic happiness in a relationship, being submissive should suggest, being humble, thoughtful, slow to respond and slow to react. It is important that both men and women pay recognition to the value of allowing each other to share the reign placing emphasis on what matters most, fluidity and respect. Sometimes it’s not not about being equal or winning, but rather understanding that both parties play a unique role in your relationship. With that being said, there are both healthy and unhealthy forms of submission. It’s all about finding a balance and being appreciative of one another’s efforts. Surrendering to your partner’s strength does not make you inferior or weak but simply sends a direct message that you are comfortable in your own skin and you respect them enough to let them lead. With that being said, being submissive is an essential lesson regardless of gender. Ironically, there is a unique sense of empowerment and equality that is derived from the surrendering of souls and hearts that brings about a universal peace of mind between two people. Give the gift of submission. Love from Trinidad!!!
So all and all you believe in equality in a relationship. Jeannie was contradicting herself. If both the man and the woman submit to one another then that’s equality
This conversation is actually one of the most interesting ones they’ve had yet... I agree with all of the ladies...being submissive does not mean u don’t have a voice and u just follow blindly everything ur partner wants... it means to listen each other... communicate effectively , hear each other out , and yield to each other and make a compromise because that’s what both parties in the relationship in order for it to thrive have the FREE WILL to do... you’re supposed to cater and understand and listen to each other and make room to please the other! It has to be a give and take! One can’t have control over anything and everything that goes on
Everytime I hear this conversation I have the same question. What does submissive look like in a relationship? The example you gave sounds like the definition/example of another word...not necessarily submission. Also, whenever the topic of submission comes up it’s always something women have to do not a mutual thing that goes on between both partners
What you just described is not submission. That’s a partnership. Your last sentence would actually be submission. Some people don’t know the real definition of submission & it shows.
Ronique Cross the correct definition/example this person described is actually partnership not submission. & yea it’s always one sided submission when it comes to this topic.
Totally agree with Jeanie. There is a difference between marriage and a girlfriend & boyfriend relationship. They are really saying the same thing. The word submission frightens women because it has been misplaced as misrepresented. Jeanie totally gets it.
There really is no difference. Marriage is only a title, the relationship literally stays the same. Marriage is an illusion, it’s a man made invention.
@@christylouis2611 exactly. I talked to people the day after the wedding I asked how do you feel now. Do you feel any changes? They said no they still feel the same. They still do the same thing they did before the wedding. They still live together. They still have sex. They still eat and poop. Nothing changed. I meet them again a year later. I asked the same question. They say it’s the same relationship and the same feeling. Nothing changed except the title.
They did they just want others to have the other side of the topic. You have to be careful in presenting opinions on a subject if there's a negative side you must let the audience know what the concept full encompasses so you have all the facts to inform your decision, it's good journalism. It must be emphasized that it's an opinion because people especially men would take that into the real world and expect to be able to get away with the way he treats his wife in his marriage.

I don’t think they understand what Jeannie is saying she agrees that marriage is a partnership and that her opinion shouldn’t be silenced what’s she’s saying is he makes the ultimate decision doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a voice doesn’t mean he gets to be controlling what she means is that when decisions need to be made he takes her opinion into account and his opinion and he decides ultimate what the right decision is for BOTH of them.
They understand....They All Understand. They are just letting the men know that tey are Ready for the fight.......and Jeannie is letting you know that she chooses peace and longevity for her marriage.......I agree with Jeannie. If he is capable, LET HIM LEAD.
Love Jeannie's take and explanation on the importance of submitting to your husband. I totally get what she's saying and love how she reflected on her past and acknowledged where she made some mistakes and how she could improve on them. Love your growth Jeannie!
It's funny every time I hear ppl talk about submission as it relates to the Bible. But Jeannie said it best, the man must have a vision for his family. And last I checked she wasn't forced to marry that man, so she's most likely in agreement with his vision. Submission just means supporting him and his vision for your family since that's why you married him in the first place.
Thank you! The word as used in its biblical context translates to SUPPORT. We as a society have placed a negative connotation on it because of how people have misused the verse and taken advantage.
I agree with Jeannie because I’ve seen it in my marriage. I’ve now allowed my husband to have more confidence in making decisions for us instead of me taking all the decisions. So really, it’s also abt being kind to your man.
I 100% understand what Jeannie is saying. She’s witnessed her mom cook, clean, provide, take care of the kids, make all the decisions and basically take over the house and have the man live like another child in the house. I’ve seen that in my home too. So I 100% agree with Jeannie I have learned a lot of independency from my mom, BUT I will not want to take over a mans ability to provide and lead like I seen in my household b/c it’s true once you lay that foundation down they get comfortable and there’s no going back.
Jeannie is showing so much growth she is in such a great place in her life I would support her with her own talk show. Jeanie has always been transparent and never afraid to say why she thinks. I am a black women and unfortunately we have certain stereotypes. I believe in trying new approaches when one way fails in order to see a change in the results for the better. Your soul will know when it is time; but Jeanie has helped me to want to work on submitting, and understanding more in relationships. I agree I want my man to take control..... Period. That creates less stress on you and me 😘. She’s so loving, strong and brave. #keepshininggirl 💎#teamJeanie&”J”
Jeannie is absolutely right! Submission doesn't mean not equal or that the woman is less than. That may be the case for some couples but that's not what the Bible meant. People keep using the culture of the Bible times to say thats how it was back then. The word of God is the same yesterday, today and forever. The problem is we let culture influence the word when the word is supposed to influence culture. People also seem to forget that, that same scripture says husbands should honor their wives.

@@Coco_Loco95 that's not what is but believe what you want. Also if your ever are married you will find out the difficulties of marriage. Marriage is similar to a business there needs to be someone to lead. Most women want to marry men that can afford to allow them to be able to stay at home at some point in time during the marriage if they want to have kids. In order to bring in whatever she made or still be able to afford a certain lifestyle if your a smart individual you will listen and allow him to lead. Women that make under 150k are still going to ask/want a certain standard of living in order to take care of themselves and their children. They are expecting the men to be able to provide that in exchange the men need certain things as well. The more a woman make the higher her expectations are from a man, but many woman don't realize that when they start to require higher exposure the pot in which they looking at now is much smaller. Now they have to hope that they also match the requirements of those men.
I completely agree with Jeannie, a man does need to be able to be his natural self. And a mans natural instinct is to provide and protect “if they are a good man”
I 100% agree with Jennie. I'm a strong leader and I have to remind myself to allow my husband to.lead.Now, with that being said as long as he is leading us to life then I'll follow.. The moment I feel like we may end up by a ditch, I'll step in before we land in the ditch.
1000000% agree with Jeannie . Can’t believe these ladies hear the word submission and automatically went to defense mode . Smh . I totally agree and understand what she said it was loud and clear. Independent women get tired and eventually want someone to lead their home periodttttt doesn’t mean they aren’t equal we just appreciate it when the man takes charge and protect us !! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Jeannie's interpretation is 1000% what men envision when we think of that term. Bravo for having the confidence and courage to explain your view. Maybe we can change this if more women took the time to explain the nuances of this topic.

Yes Jeannie 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I completely agree with you and how you plan to submit is how I submit to my husband! Let him lead in the home BUT everything is to reach a joint vision!
Didn't she get this topic before air time? Why not seek biblical counsel on why the Bible says this. Telling people that the Bible is outdated tells you a lot about what she understands about it.
Y’all know what I find VERY interesting? I’ve never met, talk to, or been around Jeannie, a day in my life, but I understood exactly what she meant when she said what she said. These ladies have been around/known her for YEARS, and it legit felt like they didn’t even know her at all. As if Jeannie Mai would let ANYBODY (man included) “rule” over her. I was more baffled by that than the conversation itself🤷🏾♀️
She was disagreeing to Jeannie’s general statement of men. That’s why Jeanie had to go back and plug-in, “in my experience” bc she was speaking as if it was a fact, when it’s really situational.
What Jeannie said really went over the other ladies heads. I can relate to Jeannie bc I grew up in a household where my mom dominated my dad and didn't leave any room for him to be the man besides financial provision. Submission does not mean that you have no voice and there is no partnership.
Yeah in my marriage, I would rather use terms like honor, compromise, etc...not the word submissive (and I’m Christian) Like Loni said, keep it in your marriage
Jeannie is right. Men have straight up said this. If you do everything for the man he either leaves or becomes useless. So you're either gonna be screaming at him cause he left, or screaming at him cause he doesn't do anything. And that's because you always wanna be the one doing everything and making all the decisions.
Every marriage is different, two individuals should agree on how they feel their marriage can and should work. What Jeanie is saying is her personal view of how she translates submission and I get her. Jeanie is by no means saying she does not believe or stand for equality neither is she saying she is “under” in the sense of a “master and servant” relationship.
bob taylor She literally said “Well for me, submit does not mean you are lower or less important than your man.” on the Tamron Hall Show. It seems you’re the one who misinterpreted her.
I honestly agree with Jeannie 100% because that's the way God instituted for marriage to be, wherein the man leads. Him leading doesn't mean his the boss and the woman is below him. It's just about understanding that you both are now one and letting him (being the head of the home) guide the home to where you all need/want to be.
That was a tough conversation to listen to. Thankfully Jeannie made her point and her audience understood where she was going with it... I don’t like the word “submissive or submit” as well, but if you understand the context of it then it’s up to you to choose and allow who you submit yourself to. So if it’s by choice more power to you! Thanks for sharing your experience and perspective Jeannie, you have such a beautiful soul 💕
Biblical submission doesn’t mean you’re any less of a voice, worth, significance or value than that of your partner. It’s a role of supporting and helping the role of leadership without neglecting equality within a relationship. I think the act of submission is just as powerful & humbling as being a leader/leading. Mind you, being a good leader is serving people. So this makes it all the more equal. Just different roles. But equal.
We are not made equal though, but at the same time, husbands are commanded to treat their wives as Christ treated the congregation. Following the Bible never hurt me in any way. So peace be with you, whoever you are. What I got from what mrs. @Leslie C. was saying, is that being submissive does not devalue a woman, but that in it's own way it, too, it is a powerful role. I agree with THAT, but I don't believe we are equal, and rightly so. Woman are the "weaker vessel" and a man is to treat her as such; delicately, with love and compassion, even giving up his life for her if it came down to it, as Christ did for the congregation. The congregation is lesser than Christ, and a woman is lesser than her husband, in that sense. And she must have deep respect for her husband. Amen.
bob taylor @Team HMad Hey, just dropping in to clarify. Btw, i’m all about positive vibes here, communicating with kindness and respect towards each other. Anyway, glad this post opened up some good thoughts/discussion. In my last post I was speaking more to “equal” as in equal of worth/value. My comment was in hopes to encourage some Christian women out there who might have a difficult time understanding/feeling they may feel inferior to men bc of their decision to be submissive. But women are not inferior to men in worth or value. And that everyone is made in the image of God. That was my point. Yes, different roles. Yes, different relationship dynamic of men taking on more of the leadership/authoritative role and women the supportive/submissive role. But equal in worth/value. No one is “better than” the other. And agreed, all in all the relationship should be ultimately led by Christ and His will.
@bob taylor Ok, but if you say a man is superior to the woman you are correct. What you seem to be missing is that a man is held to higher standard simply because he holds a greater accountability. When Adam and Eve ate from the fruit, the bible says the woman was thoroughly deceived. But for Adam it was a choice, in the fullest sense of the word. Eve was still guilty, but God held Adam more accountable for lacking proper headship. All in all, there is a difference between exercising headship, and abusing headship. God says he will not even listen to a man's prayers, if he neglected his family. A woman is to be treated with dignity. A man is to be treated with respect. Superiority simply means God holds men to a greater accountability!
A true Christian shouldn't be using the line, "It was written a long time ago." Obviously there's some stuff in there that we don't do today, but saying that just allows other things to fly. A lot of excuses people bring up is stuff in the old testament that God got rid of when Jesus came in the new testament anyways so...
Jeannie is 100% correct when she was talking about men leading the home and if you take all the power and lead you strip him from his “manhood”. Adrienne lowkey confused lol and loni needs to sit her ass down she hasn’t had a long term relationship like Jeannie. If you look at the structure of men & women and psychologically men are naturally providers and leaders not disregarding women being leaders but we’re not the same we shouldn’t be protesting for equality we should be protesting for equity because we’re not the same. The quicker you realize the more logical you’ll be.
In my opinion, that’s ridiculous. Men should look to women as leaders, just as much as women look to men. We should be protesting for equality. Jeannie was saying that’s what works for her, not for everyone else. All men are different, and all women are different.
You need to actually read credible studies on male vs female psychology because that’s not true what’s so ever. Women should have equality. If you choose to not be a leader in your life that’s you me choice. If what your saying was true none of the women on this show would be as successful as they are.
I disagree. My husband and I are equal in the home, make decisions together and treat each other as partners. We both have PhDs and earn a similar income. If you want to marry a man who needs to feel in charge, no disrespect but that doesn’t mean all men are like that.
Mtsad I never disregarded women being leaders and being independent but I’m saying in a marriage we have our roles that are personal and there are roles where we share the responsibility equally.
Jeannie the only one bringing up the definition of submission and then relating it to her own life. FINALLY. People love to casually throw around the word "submit" and don't even know how to communicate what it means to them. I'm so grateful for Jeannie's brilliance lloolll
When I tell y’all... I was pissed that Jeannie got 7’s... now that’s not bad for week 4... but my issue was moreso the judges confuse me in areas where when they critique they give small bites of advice going forward..without criticizing the dance as a whole so it makes you feel like “ ok they should have a really good score now then”... but for me... Jeannie’s dance was so much better than her Viennese Waltz... I can tell Ballroom dances are going to be her strongsuits this season... like a Foxtrot , Argentine Tango , Paso Doble , Rumba , Quickstep are gonna be challenges but she’s got the moves down..l she just need to stop playing it safe and being afraid to go full out...! She deserved 8’s!!! I’m tired of these underscores... btw I wanna say congratulations to my girl Skai on getting the FIRST TEN of the season!!! Everybody at this point in the game are good dancers and working their way up... so eliminations are gonna be stressful as hell going forward!
2 Timothy 3: "16.All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work."
I'm a black man and i'm looking for a Jeannie Mai in my life. Jeannie has figure it out and knows how to play her position. Any good men would know how to play his!!lol Kudos to you Jeannie!!!
Alot of people don't understand when I say I enjoy being submissive in a positive way, as long as my significant other doesn't stumble on my vulnerability ... I'm not going to explain, but it is what it is.
Jeannie made so much sense at the end. It works for her and she learnt from her past relationship which is why she’s not doing the same thing this time round
I agree with Jeannie. I had that same issue in my current relationship and it almost broke us up. Now I’m aware of my old habits (that I also picked up from my household in being controlling) and now I love love LOVE seen my man take control and also run our home with me together as a team ☺️
Jeannie hit the nail on the head 🎯 women who don’t understand just don’t want to understand. Nobody is saying you don’t have a voice if your submissive or your husband doesn’t value your opinion. That’s not what Godly submission is, listen to how Jeannie described it again bc she did it perfectly.
bob taylor enjoy sitting at home trolling the internet.. no seriously that’s so sad.. work on yourself. Fix your life and you won’t need to put other people down. Until then wish you all positivity 🙏
Jeannie. Favorite dance so far. Such clean dancing and the power behind the performance was amazing. Best dance by anyone this season in my opinion. Rooting for you all the way!
Thank you Jeanie you are spot on boo!! I also am very dominate and I too found that my man felt insignificant in our relationship because I was kind of a control freak and wanted him to submit to me all the time. I wanted dominance and the last say that came with it. In doing so I almost crushed my relationship. I had to learn how to share the roles and also willingly submit to my man. Girlll lemme tell you .. personally my stress levels have lowered tremendously and my relationship has flourished. 🙌
I love Jeannie's opinion on this and her experience. The way she worded this 💣. Adrienne was there too just didn't like to use the word submissive/submission. Loni and Gracelle already had their choice on the subject and understood Jeannie from their own point of view that is why they seemed to oppose Jeannie's view. As humans we should learn to separate our perception on other people's opinion. But meh! We all project.
Jeannie hit the nail on the head. The fact that Grasielle referred to submission as “being girly” just shows they missed her whole point 😂 but this is a true example of the percentage of women that get it vs the percentage of women that don’t get it.
I love the fact that Loni pointed out the behaviours of some men who want to treat all women they come across as their wife, please keep your relationship at home and deal with me as a person and not as your wife. And as for Jennie, the fact that she recognised her dominating character and she is working on conditioning herself to submit to her husband ie giving him the opportunity to lead as a man in their home which is absolutely great is perfect, that way the man feels like a king. Nice discussion ladies.....
Jeannie you are perfectly right, and that’s exactly why neither of the colored women have a man or have a caucasian husband. You have to know how to treat a man with color you have to know how to understand him an don’t under estimate him. I am 100% with submitting to my husband because he is the smartest yet most loving man I’ve ever encountered. Don’t let those two make you change your answer or reverse your words of submission. You will forever have a happy faithful loving man staying just the way you are.
Jeannie is basically saying she has watch him and tried him long enough and from that day on she trust him on his discussion making and is comfortable with him making things happen. Now she can relax!!!! I’m with ya girl can’t wait till the day I have a partner!!!!
I'm pretty sure the Bible also says that the husband has to commit to the wife and love her unconditionally. So submissive is not blindly following someone. It's communicating effectively and loving each other no matter what.
The girls don’t NOT know what Jeannie is saying .. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT
dont not is a double negative resulting in a positive, so are you saying the girls do know what shes talking about lmao
Right! They acted like Jeannie said she wanted to be a house slave lol
You also have to understand Jeannie has Asian in her and her up bringing may be a bit different from these other women. Most Asian women are very submissive it’s who they are and how they were brought up
she got CHEATED ON LMAO
Jeannie is the one making sense here without bias and prejudice. No disrespect to other ladies.
This is why I love her, not only is she great at listening and empathizing, she’s amazing at actually a understanding
You a mysogynynisticnish!!! 😠✊😲😆
That's not what she's saying she saying submitting is what's best for who she is and in her relationship. This doesn't apply to all women. The points they raise are also valid.
Absolutely!!!
Jeannie all praises to you and your future husband, your opinion was well received 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

The role of not letting a man be a leader is the demise of a lot of relationships for us .

Anyway u bw need to watch some Paris Milan , Chrissie and the pink pill
If the man isn’t providing or paying all the bills why should any woman submit to him ???

Not running his bath water and being at his call all the time. Most women will submit to THE man who speaks to the Queen in them. I'm just saying. Ok. I'm done now👋🏾
@bob taylor its 100% true but go ahead and tell us how we feel and what we want, we're dying to know
Nicely said ..cheers.
OMG yes!!
Ooh! Yes! I love your 3rd to last sentence. 👏🏽👏🏽
bob taylor that’s literally the opposite of feminism lmao
They legit weren't listening to ANYTHING Jeannie was saying. She never said Jeezy would be above her. She said he would express his opinion, she would express hers, and in the end he would make a decision that works for both of them.
That part!
the whats tge point of “submitting” lol thats a full on equal relationship... yall really don’t be hearing yourselves when commenting
Robotic Secks
Neither Adrienne nor Loni are divorced or single.
Whenever I hear this issue of submission brought up, they only talk about the woman's side. It also says that the husband is supposed to honor his wife and be willing to lay down his life for her. He's not supposed to be a harsh dictator who keeps her barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen.
Agreed!
Exactly
Thank you, and to love her as Christ loves the church, and the depths of that is ALWAYS glossed over.
Exactly!!!
xyz2813 are you married?
Jeannie is for equality and partnership but she just wants to occupy a different role as a wife in her marriage...her choice. She’s not saying she wants to be silenced or taken advg in her marriage. It works for her.
The difference is...
Jeannie has now found a man she wants to submit too.
She didn’t want to submit to her previous husband.
Lonnie doesn’t want to submit to James because James doesn’t make her feel comfortable in being submissive.
I guarantee you Tamera would say she submits to Adam.
This is a brilliant point
Tam most definitely submits to Housley. I think she proved that by leaving this show tbh.
That makes no damn sense,if she's not comfortable with submitting to him and allow him to lead why the hell is he your husband? She should have chosen someone else to marry🤦🏾♂️

I agree with Jeannie mai also!
Jeannie is the only woman a high value man would marry. She understands mens innate disposition and purpose within a relationship.
@@ansarali4053 That's right
Jeannie’s definition of submission is on point 👌🏾
The man that you are in a relationship with has to be WORTHY OF SUBMISSION. That's the part that everyone is missing. The man is also in submission TO GOD. You can't just pick up any street rat and be like yes daddy lead me. If you do that, then obviously, you are going to find yourself in an abusive and toxic relationship. Find a man worthy of your respect, love and admiration because of his character and your trust in his ability to make the right decisions and lead and only then can you submit. That's why Jeannie is willing to submit to Jeezy and she wasn't willing to submit to Freddie.
Yup yup! She found herself someone who is actually able to lead. It's much easier to submit to someone you trust and respect.
brell 2-1-5 Yes, he does! A Christian man has to submit to God to make decisions in his marriage.
Speak on it! Furthermore submit to your husband not a man you've been on again off again with that can't commit to marriage! The man needs to be deserving!

i know tamera is no longer on this show but i would have loved to hear her opinion on this topic
We know what she would have said.
Adam is definitely the leader of their family and she submits to him.
I think tamera would said that she has a 50/50 situation with Adam. Tamera has been very vocal about her marriage with Adam and he listens to her. More importantly they listen to each other. That’s what’s really important. Being submissive to you man is not an issue when y’all know how to communicate.

Jeannie ur opinion is the best I don’t understand y the other 3 are not getting it! Glad u stood ur ground

Also, whenever the topic of submission comes up it’s always something women have to do not a mutual thing that goes on between both partners
bob taylor 50/50 doesn’t work. Which is why the the two older black women were never married.
What you just described is not submission. That’s a partnership. Your last sentence would actually be submission. Some people don’t know the real definition of submission & it shows.
Ronique Cross the correct definition/example this person described is actually partnership not submission. & yea it’s always one sided submission when it comes to this topic.
Natasha Jones tell that to the millions of women married just like them... also not everyone wants to get married in the first place.
Jeannie looked soooo good on the dance floor. Her makeup was bomb
I asked the same question. They say it’s the same relationship and the same feeling. Nothing changed except the title.

This is why so many divorces because women wants to be equal allow a man to feel and be a man and if you have a good partner all will be well

Can a woman lead in marriage?
Jeanie said from her "experience"... She didn't say it's a matter of fact, why disagree with her?
I agree with Jeannie because I’ve seen it in my marriage. I’ve now allowed my husband to have more confidence in making decisions for us instead of me taking all the decisions. So really, it’s also abt being kind to your man.
@bob taylor Found the triggered MGTOW!
Yes that's respect not submission.
Spot on!

And that's because you always wanna be the one doing everything and making all the decisions.

Every marriage is different, two individuals should agree on how they feel their marriage can and should work. What Jeanie is saying is her personal view of how she translates submission and I get her.
Jeanie is by no means saying she does not believe or stand for equality neither is she saying she is “under” in the sense of a “master and servant” relationship.
bob taylor
She literally said “Well for me, submit does not mean you are lower or less important than your man.” on the Tamron Hall Show. It seems you’re the one who misinterpreted her.
bob taylor
I was talking about what *Jeannie* meant, which you were wrong about. That reply is shifting the subject .
Loni’s face when Jeannie’s talking about submission is killing me🤣
I honestly agree with Jeannie 100% because that's the way God instituted for marriage to be, wherein the man leads. Him leading doesn't mean his the boss and the woman is below him. It's just about understanding that you both are now one and letting him (being the head of the home) guide the home to where you all need/want to be.
Jazz matches Jeannies personality and I’m excited to see it
That was a tough conversation to listen to.
But equal.
Well said!
Amen.
@bob taylor Aah, OK. I see what you mean then.
bob taylor @Team HMad Hey, just dropping in to clarify.
Yeah... that was weird. I mean, I don't think shes not a true Christian but there has to be wisdom.
Hollywood Chritianity for you...Idgi
I would agree she needs some wisdom in that area or just help navigating that conversation in the Hollywood space that so divisive

@@Nour-ey5le reading the Bible in context matters.
That's the way it SHOULD be
Mtsad I never disregarded women being leaders and being independent but I’m saying in a marriage we have our roles that are personal and there are roles where we share the responsibility equally.
Great explanation, Jeannie!
Jeannie’s background is the best one
Everybody at this point in the game are good dancers and working their way up... so eliminations are gonna be stressful as hell going forward!

bob taylor enjoy sitting at home trolling the internet.. no seriously that’s so sad.. work on yourself. Fix your life and you won’t need to put other people down. Until then wish you all positivity 🙏
bob taylor ok 🙏
Loni is an agent of chaos. I have yet to hear her say anything remotely intelligent
Always loved Jeannie. What a high quality woman. ❤ Completely agree!
JEANNIE YOUR ANSWER IS EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤
Jeannie understands!! I definitely agree..it's beautiful to see her grow. I hope the other ladies will see that sooner rather than later.
Jeannie is right about that while letting a man be a man or the leader
Jeannie hit the nail on the head. The fact that Grasielle referred to submission as “being girly” just shows they missed her whole point 😂 but this is a true example of the percentage of women that get it vs the percentage of women that don’t get it.
Or Garcelle * lol my apologies I haven’t really watched the show since Tamar/Tamera
Leave religious topics alone if you’re not going to have someone well versed in scripture. Sigh.
Exactly I was like I know she did not have the nerve to quote a scripture that she wrong about. She so lost bless her heart
The real actually uploaded a full recent girl chat clip? color me surprised
Jeannie looks so amazing in that dress. I just saw it and went HOLY SH*T WOWWW every time she did those cool tricks hahaq
Great conversation! I understood exactly what Jeannie was saying and agree 100% from my experience.
