Jeannie doesn't get enough credit for how honest and raw she was about her marriage on television for years for the world to see. She opens up about things that many would not even discuss with their friends. But by being so open so many viewers were able to relate to what she may have went through and realize that they are not alone. So thank-you Jeannie ♥️
I think ppl react that way when a woman says she doesn't want kids because motherhood is something thats so praised and believed to be very natural. Yes, 2 parents are responsible for a child but a lot of ppl think that a man saying he doesn't want kids is him saying that he doesn't want child support payments lol smh. Seriously tho. I think that's one of the reasons.
I feel bad for Jeannie, this is a tough decision to make but she can't just give Freddie a child because he wants one, she has to be ready too plus Freddie is away a lot of the time so if she did have a child she would be doing the bulk of the work which isn't fair. She dont got time either. Why have children if you gonna have a nanny 24/7 and even if she decides to stay home with the kids most of the time Freddy wil not be there to help her either.
First of all, you can't assume that Freddy will not want to take care of the child. He may be away a lot now, but if they have a kid, I'm sure Freddy will be willing to not go away so much.

Seeing this reflecting where Jeannie is now, I'm so glad she moved on. She's so happy, glowing, and about to be a mama!! I honestly believe she is afraid. she may not want to admit it or not really see it yet but she's afraid of having a child. Not because of losing her independence and affecting her career which is what I'm seeing mostly in the comments but because of what seems to me to be from her past money issues in her family. I think the story she told yrs ago about finding her dad eat chicken scraps out of the garbage Cuz he wanted to put his kids first had affected her more then she knows. she was literally scarred for life. She keeps mentioning how she doesn't want the responsibility of caring for a child who is solely reliant on her, I think it's because then if she ever fails then she worries she will end up like her dad losing out on herself in order to put her child first. Her fear is failure, in her mind if her job flops then her life with a kid will be a whole lot harder to raise and she can't imagine putting herself nd her child thru hardships. it's a shame, kind of like ptsd. Thank you Adrienne for speaking up for Jeannie. She doesnt owe an explanation as to why she doesnt want kids. She is right in that its a total commitment and responsibility. Our kids were planned and its still a huge sacrifice and can create strain in your marriage if you aren't on the same page. It takes alot of time and woyld slow her down. Jeannie did NOT make it clear before they got married. Even Jeannie just said in this clip that she "PROBABLY" was never gonna want kids. Jeannie seems to lowkey be on the fence and Freddy obviously settled. How can you tell her to "Do you, boo!" when shes been with this man for several years? This is her life, her husband. Ur acting as if Freddy is just some boo thang she should toss to the side.
I think they'll end up getting a divorce, not because they want to, but because they haven't got a choice. Jeanie doesn't want kids at all, so adoption isn't even up for question. Jeannie has stated many times on the show that she thinks freddie wants kids, from then, she should've listened to her intuition and Freddie should've just said from the beginning he wants kids (if he hadn't already). If she had a child solely for freddie, no doubt she'll end up being miserable, like she said she doesn't want that responsibility, she's not willing to sacrifice certain things and if she sticks to her gut instinct and doesn't have a child, no doubt freddie will end up miserable. I feel like it's a lose lose situation. Dear Jeannie mai and everyone in this comments , this is a long one. I think low low low low low key , Jeannie wants a child. But she's scared. She's seen the sacrifices that her parents have made for her. Not only that , the lifestyle that she lives and loves currently , she doesn't see involving children. Period. She doesn't have to carry. She Doesn't have to want to carry. Having a baby won't save their marriage. Not having a baby won't break their marriage. Plus , I don't think people understand. Not a person on this earth , living or dead , asked to be born and brought into this world. But here we are. With no script. No manual. No guide. Nothing but the people who came before us, raising us, trying to educate us for the next generation to come along. Having a baby is no easy tasks. People say "give him just one child." What if , god forbid, Jeannie entertains the idea of a child, gets pregnant, and then she ends up like loni and miscarriages ? How discouraging would that be for her and Freddie. What if she took that miscarriage as a sign that she was never suppose to bare child ? And how dare she try ? But y'all didn't think about that. What if her child ends up being special needs or something ? Everyone doesn't have a strong heart or mind to take care of a child with special needs. Dozens of children with special needs are left at hospitals and doorsteps everyday because people can't handle everything that goes with raising a "special" baby. What if she takes that as a sign that she's being punished? There are sooo many things that go with having a baby. So many outcomes that we are not aware of that could happen. Things we have no control over. Things that you have to have the utmost faith in , no matter what the outcome. It's hard. It is hard. IT IS HARD. And you should not have a child to save a marriage. That's half of you right there. For life. Jeannie might not be my favorite panel host, but she has every right to feel every way that she feels. Do I think she could take some steps to ensure a healthy pregnancy just in case she ever decides she wants to have kids ? Of course. Maybe freeze some of her really good and healthy eggs ? Absolutely. Look into surrogates and things like that? Why the hell not. But Jeannie is not my wife. She's not your wife. And she's not the women That we want to mother any of our kids. Can I just vent for a minute... Its contradictory being in a relationship because you want to do things for YOU and as modern ladies that's what we've been taught, but you also sacrifice some of your wants & needs because you want to strive to make your partner happy. It's a double edged sword 💯 this is why most relationships don't work because the give & take isn't equal or respected in both parties. Me and my bf broke up because of this reason. awhile back maybe some months ago, this really bugged me a lot ( Freddie and Jeannie's issue concerning desire to have a child or children) and i was thinking about it..and I got a picture from it seems from the Father saying that Freddie is strong ( I saw something like part of a guy lifting weights or a barbel).
Mckenzie I always new as a child that I wanted children when I got married. It was always inside if needed to be a mother. I have two boys right now and my husband and I want more children. But even if I couldn't have children like fertility issues, adoption was definitely the next step for me in life so that I could raise that child and give them the best life. Not just material things. To care for a little human being and watch them grow is amazing. I've worked with children from a young age as well so I knew then that I'd be able to handle being a parent even when there are tough times. I had to trust that my husband would be there to help guide our children and The Most High would help me to lead them in the right direction.
I am not sure whether it was a desire. I would say that I felt that it was my responsibility. I have done it four times over and I don't regret it but I just felt that I had to have children. I hope that my logic does not confuse you.

Nobody should blame this on Freddy , they've been married for 8+ years now. Feelings change, maybe back then he didn't want children but that was 8+ years ago, life simply makes feelings change. I doubt he's putting her against the wall on this, but Jeannie herself feels the guilt because just knowing that your partner wants something so bad and your not able to give it to them can take a major tole on yourself. I really hope they figure this out , because you can tell Jeannie really loves him.
She knew he wanted kids from the beginning, he told her. He just hoped she would change her mind eventually which was wrong for both of them. She even said she knew the first year she saw red flags, she should’ve stopped clinging on even though it is hard. But 10 years wasted when they could’ve found someone who was truly right for each of them. It’s sad because they did love each other.

I LOVE that they're being there for Jeannie. It seems like she's always there for other people and always gets put on the back burner, but to see that Loni literally held her hand, and Adrienne and Tam poured love into her makes me really really happy.
Watching this post Jeannie pregnancy announcement and my heart hurts. You can tell here, at least to me, that she wasn’t only questioning the decision of having children. She was questioning that and also who she would be having them with. It sucks. You can love someone with your entire being and if everything doesn’t align, it’s not right. You can fight it but you won’t be able to truly be content. Im glad they are both in happy places, even if they didn’t end up there together.
People need to stop trying to talk Jeannie into having a child. She says she never had the inkling to have a child, and people need to understand that. You can glean whatever you want from the show, but her words are her words.

I honestly believe she is afraid. she may not want to admit it or not really see it yet but she's afraid of having a child. Not because of losing her independence and affecting her career which is what I'm seeing mostly in the comments but because of what seems to me to be from her past money issues in her family. I think the story she told yrs ago about finding her dad eat chicken scraps out of the garbage Cuz he wanted to put his kids first had affected her more then she knows. she was literally scarred for life. She keeps mentioning how she doesn't want the responsibility of caring for a child who is solely reliant on her, I think it's because then if she ever fails then she worries she will end up like her dad losing out on herself in order to put her child first. Her fear is failure, in her mind if her job flops then her life with a kid will be a whole lot harder to raise and she can't imagine putting herself nd her child thru hardships. it's a shame, kind of like ptsd. I think they'll end up getting a divorce, not because they want to, but because they haven't got a choice. Jeanie doesn't want kids at all, so adoption isn't even up for question. Jeannie has stated many times on the show that she thinks freddie wants kids, from then, she should've listened to her intuition and Freddie should've just said from the beginning he wants kids (if he hadn't already). If she had a child solely for freddie, no doubt she'll end up being miserable, like she said she doesn't want that responsibility, she's not willing to sacrifice certain things and if she sticks to her gut instinct and doesn't have a child, no doubt freddie will end up miserable. I feel like it's a lose lose situation. They love each other deeply and that's why they're going to cling onto each other, but is it worth it? is there any point, knowing you both want different things? i don't know. it's like, do you want to be happy or do you want to appear happy? never mind what the world tells you to do to be happy. Be truthful to yourself and discover what you REALLY want. I wish them both the best.

I think low low low low low key , Jeannie wants a child. But she's scared. She's seen the sacrifices that her parents have made for her. Not only that , the lifestyle that she lives and loves currently , she doesn't see involving children. Period. She doesn't have to carry. She Doesn't have to want to carry. Having a baby won't save their marriage. Not having a baby won't break their marriage.
Plus , I don't think people understand. Not a person on this earth , living or dead , asked to be born and brought into this world. But here we are. With no script. No manual. No guide. Nothing but the people who came before us, raising us, trying to educate us for the next generation to come along.
Having a baby is no easy tasks. People say "give him just one child." What if , god forbid, Jeannie entertains the idea of a child, gets pregnant, and then she ends up like loni and miscarriages ? How discouraging would that be for her and Freddie. What if she took that miscarriage as a sign that she was never suppose to bare child ? And how dare she try ? But y'all didn't think about that.
What if her child ends up being special needs or something ? Everyone doesn't have a strong heart or mind to take care of a child with special needs. Dozens of children with special needs are left at hospitals and doorsteps everyday because people can't handle everything that goes with raising a "special" baby. What if she takes that as a sign that she's being punished?
There are sooo many things that go with having a baby. So many outcomes that we are not aware of that could happen. Things we have no control over. Things that you have to have the utmost faith in , no matter what the outcome. It's hard. It is hard. IT IS HARD. And you should not have a child to save a marriage. You should not have a child for someone else. Because Jeannie is the woman. She carries for nine months. She goes through the heartburn. She goes through the morning sickness. She goes through peeing on herself cause the baby kicks too hard on her bladder. She goes through her body changing in all sorts of ways. Hips adjusting. Belly growing. Hormones spinning out of control. No one else.
And yall want her to go through all of that because "it's the selfless thing to do" or "if she loved Freddie." Nah dawg. Take into considerations every thing that happens. Cause you're with this child for life. You can kick em out the house at 18 , but that's your blood. That's your flesh. That's half of you right there. For life.
Jeannie might not be my favorite panel host, but she has every right to feel every way that she feels. Do I think she could take some steps to ensure a healthy pregnancy just in case she ever decides she wants to have kids ? Of course. Maybe freeze some of her really good and healthy eggs ? Absolutely. Look into surrogates and things like that? Why the hell not. But Jeannie is not my wife. She's not your wife. And she's not the women That we want to mother any of our kids.
With all that being said ,before anyone sits and judges and thinks it's ohkay to call either Jeannie or Freddie selfish, selfless, speak ill will or intent on their marriage , or whatever , have several seats. Because this ain't your battle and your blood is not being shed. So don't tell me, or more so , do not tell Jeannie that "it won't hurt if you just have one". Have several seats.

because you want to do things for YOU and as modern ladies that's what we've been taught, but you also sacrifice some of your wants & needs because you want to strive to make your partner happy. It's a double edged sword 💯 this is why most relationships don't work because the give & take isn't equal or respected in both parties. Me and my bf broke up because of this reason. He wanted me to fold and give up my wants but he wasn't ready to reciprocate the same. I was upset for a minute, but I've gotten over it. Now I can hoe at 100% with no remorse 😜

Mckenzie Yes i truly did! I always knew even when I was little.
Mckenzie I always new as a child that I wanted children when I got married. It was always inside if needed to be a mother. I have two boys right now and my husband and I want more children. But even if I couldn't have children like fertility issues, adoption was definitely the next step for me in life so that I could raise that child and give them the best life. Not just material things. To care for a little human being and watch them grow is amazing. I've worked with children from a young age as well so I knew then that I'd be able to handle being a parent even when there are tough times. I had to trust that my husband would be there to help guide our children and The Most High would help me to lead them in the right direction.

Nobody should blame this on Freddy , they've been married for 8+ years now. Feelings change, maybe back then he didn't want children but that was 8+ years ago, life simply makes feelings change. I doubt he's putting her against the wall on this, but Jeannie herself feels the guilt because just knowing that your partner wants something so bad and your not able to give it to them can take a major tole on yourself. I really hope they figure this out , because you can tell Jeannie really loves him.

Watching this post Jeannie pregnancy announcement and my heart hurts. You can tell here, at least to me, that she wasn’t only questioning the decision of having children. She was questioning that and also who she would be having them with. It sucks. You can love someone with your entire being and if everything doesn’t align, it’s not right.
