    I've been using the Professional version for a couple of years now and it really does work. If money were no object, I'd go for the Elite, but since I am getting results with the Professional, I can't justify the cost. Would be nice if they offered some sort of upgrade option for Professional users (they could sell the used ones as refurbished, maybe?)... that I might consider. Thanks for the video.

      They do have a trade-in program. I’ve had my Professional since 2021 and they offered me $200 for it towards the new one which could be bundled with theirs or Dr. Dre‘s discount. You have to send yours back at your expense before they will ship the Elite.

    I have the "Essential" and love it. I got it two years ago, at 50. My issues were that my hair seemed to be no longer able to grow past a certain point and I was noticing more scalp in the front in bright light. I started using it in September 22 when I came back from a trip to see a friend. I went back to see that friend in April 23 and the FIRST thing she said to me was, "Your hair got SO long". Others have made the same comment, and my hair dresser is impressed as well. I also don't notice nearly as much scalp coming through in bright light. I'd love the Elite, but I am not rich by any means.

    I made the investment a few months ago. I think I still have a few months to go to see any appreciable difference but I do notice lots of new growth all over. A couple years ago, I suffered from a case of telogen effluvium. I think it lined up with my natural hair thinning as a result of entering perimenopause. I've been desperate for something legit. I think LLLT is the gold standard and I am excited to see the progress.
    I had such lush, thick hair as a child and young adult. I very much wish I could get back to that thickness but my fear is that I never will. The irestore won’t do much at all. Look at the LaserCap HD plus. I have noticed a difference in six months. A specialist in Boston recommended this brand and it is one of the only brands their office supports. Obviously, the influencers get a kick back from irestore but it is not the most advanced technology and there are way better options. I agree with most of Dr Dray’s posts but this one misses the mark a bit.

      I bought the least powerful one, the Essential, a couple years ago on a Black Friday sale. I’ve used it faithfully and I do think it helps. But…the difference is subtle. What I think it has actually done is slow down my hair loss, not sure it has increased my hair density. I still use it because I do think it helps, I am also using minoxidil every other night. Between the two my hair loss and density has improved, but as I said it’s subtle I haven’t seen the dramatic improvement others talk about but maybe I should have sprung for the Professional but just couldn’t afford it. I plan to keep using the one I have until it stops working then decide if I want continue with red light for hair loss.

    I’ve used the professional for about 2.5 months. After much thought and research I purchased this based on your previous videos. My hair is definitely thinning since menopause. Actually, that is the only real side effect I experienced. No hot flashes, no hormonal treatments needed. I am hoping that this will help restore some density/thickness. I have not seen much difference yet, but hope that it will be effective for me. It is a big investment. The elite version looks more powerful and I would love to try that. But since my purchase is still relatively new, I cannot justify upgrading. I do use it as described and have not missed a single treatment. Thank you for all your informative videos and education you provide.

    • @AllyKit

    • @CatherineFerrell-qp5ff
      @CatherineFerrell-qp5ff 4 месяца назад +1

      I did not experience shedding. I have not experienced it as a part of my thinning hair before trying the professional iRESTORE helmet. So I have not experienced shedding with using it these past 2.5 months. I was a bit anxious about shedding, too. But that has not been my experience. But from what I’ve read, it seems each individual responds a bit differently.
      Good luck to you. I know it’s an investment. But I prefer trying this as opposed to topical treatments which you need to maintain to sustain positive results- so that gets costly, too.

    • @AllyKit
      @AllyKit 4 месяца назад

      @@CatherineFerrell-qp5ff Thank you for your response and I agree about topicals. My derm gave me everything - oral and topical Minoxidil, topical steroid cream, etc. My sister tried the oral and started growing hair on her hands. She did the topical and got a rash on her head. Steroid creams are supposed to be more effective in young people. I did do steroid injections which worked but as soon as I stopped bc they were so expensive, the new hair fell out all at once and the bald spots were even more alarming, I did purchase the Pro last month. I am afraid to use it right now because I have a special event coming up and I don't want to lose all the new hair that has grown back. The timing is tricky. I am definitely prone to shedding. And now I"m wondering if I should have gotten the more powerful one.

    I bought this a couple years ago (not the black one but the white one). It was soo stressful looking in the mirror and being painfully aware of my thinning. I use it not religiously but I do use it and I do feel its helped with maintaining what I have. Did my hair grow back to the thickness and amount I had before perimenopause? No but if I can hold on to what I have now then I am totally happy.

    Hi Dr Dray. Went to a Hair loss specialist today to discuss laser with PRP. I've been using oral meds and a topical combo foam from a dermatologist (fin/min/tret) for about 1 year. What do you know about the Auxo300 laser cap and the SMT technology? It has 300 lasers like the top iRestore helmet but the tech is different. Seems to have a wider and deeper area of penetration with the SMT technology. Thoughts?

I have been using the pro for about four and a half months now but I have not tried any of the products sent as a free gift for purchasing except for the supplements . I'm wondering about the saw palmetto for women, the amount prescribed, I know it's okay to help block DHT. Can't wait to hear about the eyebrow an eyelash serum which seems to be something new period in the scalp serum there is something called Restylane or something like that and I'm wondering if that acts the same as minoxidil. Would I have to use that serum forever. I have not tried minoxidil I have my reservations about that for me only.

Since I have curly hair, most of the shed hair has to be combed out and I usually keep what I come out just to compare to the next time I come out and the last time I combed out it was much less shed hair than would be considered normal. Can this be used with scarring alopecia. I was recently diagnosed with this

    • @sable7114
      @sable7114 4 месяца назад

      I'm using it with supposed scarring Alopecia on my own and not by recommendation from a dermatologist in my area. I'm concerned that no blood work and other necessary tests were done before giving me a diagnosis although it might be obvious just by looking at my scalp. My question was for myself, can a person potentially have more than one type of alopecia so I'm proceeding based off of that. I also know of a case where a woman was misdiagnosed with scarring Alopecia possibly because of the lack of medical test needed to come to a conclusive diagnosis. Since that money back guarantee is so long, I felt it was worth a try . When the last doctor I saw just slapped me in the face not literally but said that nothing could be done, you should have come in sooner and I know that I had been seeing doctors regarding the problem for years karma when she left the room her nurse told me there were other options one of which would be a transplant. Wonder why I wasn't given all of my options for any options really. I specifically went to ask about the laser cap and got no response so that's why I'm taking it upon myself to try it without a recommendation from anyone but possibly Dr Dre who I understand is only recommending it for androgenetic Alopecia

    • @AllyKit
      @AllyKit 4 месяца назад

      Dr. Dray has videos on this. The iRestore website states it works best for Androgenetic Alopecia. Minoxidil (oral or topical) as well as finasteride, PRP and other treatments can't hurt but can be costly. Scarring alopecia doesn't respond as to these as successfully as other types of hair loss. Scarring alopecia responds better to steroid injections and possibly steroid creams, from the research I have done. But you have to keep it up forever. When I stopped the expensive steroid injections, all the new hair fell out and then some. If you find something that works please circle back and let me know.
