Kiryu's tyrant story does make you feel that when you collect more power surges, Gojira would start to slowly lose his sanity being trapped inside a robotic body. Once you managed to get them all, Kiryu would be full on possessed by Gojira's spirit and go berserk to the point that he'll have his taste for revenge, blood and vengeance on the humans who turned him into something he didn't want to become.

The power surge crystals slowly tugged at Kiryu's mind,. An incessant force that wormed its way into Kiryu's head, strengthening their pull as he collected them. After the Massacre at San Fransisco,where the crystals had finally won over Godzilla's fortitude, he had just started to regain clarity. The first thing that Godzilla saw among the bloodied corpses of his foes was a smoking plane. In the haze of battle, he did not know whom had caused this, all he knew was that he was alone. He was sad. This was the first time Godzilla had been sad. This pushed his mind just far enough off the edge that the crystals won control again, and the insane Godzilla went on a terrible rampage such that no one had seen before. Some accounts say that his rampage is still going, and that his crystal touched mind had never regained peace again, losing the only human he tolerated after the atrocities that that were done to him by their race.

Because of the Power Surge Crystals, Kiryu gained memories of who he once was, the original Godzilla who was killed by humanity and turned into a robot years later. Seeking for the rest of the power surges, Kiryu swore revenge on humanity for his suffering.

I like how when Kiryu does the MG 74 roar, it almost looks like he's in both physical and mental pain, trying to tear off his own mechanical plating after briefly remembering who he was before

I usually love to fight against the GDF Mecha units when I do a tyrant playthrough. Same with fighting against the Aliens regardless if I'm doing a Hero or Tyrant playthrough.

Every time I make Kiryu the tyrant, I'll make sure to turn the Global Defense Force against me. Same with Baragon and the Earth Defenders and I"ll always turn the Aliens against me regardless. Wheh playing story normally for all four factions, I'll never attack the Earth Defenders or Global Defense Force. It's my play style.
