Pesci has the amazing ability to seamlessly bounce back and forth from being a lovable annoying oaf in one movie to a terrifying murdering master of intimidation in another 😂😂
Chris was right. It's almost 20 years later and that damn 3-hour battery lasting only 20 minutes is even more spot on than ever (sometimes even when the damn phone isn't being used at all)!
I say they should’ve kept them small, so kids these days can lose them to experience the real world for longer periods of time before they get replacements.
My Mom just told me how she and Dad had that kind of phone when me and my siblings were kids back then. They hate it when being charged for a minute or hour phone call. And that's why they switch to smart phone in this generation now. 😄
These films especially this one, are a core memory for me. My dad was law enforcement and passed in 2021, this was a frequent watch for us and he quoted all of these guys often. The dental office scene will forever be a huge favorite.
My condolences on your loss. And, yes: Not only do I love the scene in the dentist's office, I consider it quite possibly one of the funniest scenes in cinematic history.
"I was wondering if you will be willing to investigate my privates." "Investigate what?" "My privates you stupid shit. Shut the fuck up." That last line had me laughing.
2:45 *"hey, u know what happens when u go to a Drivethrough?" damn ! I love that reference* !!! hahaha Pesci was gonna chain the conversation with another personal experience like buddies do
Or a modern day Bluetooth headset. My husband has to wear a Bluetooth with his phone because he works as a delivery driver, and the stupid battery on that thing only lasts half a day!
I like how he goes "di-di-di-di-di-four, di-di-di-di-di-eight, oops, messed up, gotta try again, di-di-di-di-di-four,.." And his "I don't know any Afghanistans, and even if I did, I wouldn't talk to their Afghan ass for 3 hours, I wouldn't talk to my dad for 3 hours"

I grew up with rotary phones, and I remember having to do that too. My parents still have one of those phones in their house and it still works! How fast do the modern cordless and landline phones break or wear out compared to one of those rotary beasts? Freaking annoying!
Yeah, lol, and perfect timing. It would'nt have been as funny if he actually made the drive thru speech again since he'd just be repeating something we already heard. But the scene was made funnier by hearing him start to say it. Doing it the way it was done here was perfect
I adore Joe Pesci. A man who can play a nerdy pathetic whatever in one movie and play the biggest bad ass ever in another (casino, goodfellas). Just an incredible actor. ❤️
Before the bags scene in Django Unchained....this was one of the funniest scenes I could remember seeing with a audience. Meaning from the moment Pesci and Rock start ranting about phones till the scene ends...the entire theater is in stitches. Especially during...."DEDEDE 4, DEDEDE 5, DEDEDE, Oh messed up, got start all over again"....you basically couldn't hear anything after that for the next 1 minute.
It's funny how Pesci is the perfect actor for this role and can also be the ruthless Tommy from Goodfellas. Tommy would pull out a butcher knife on all of them.
2:53 Only scene that are funny in this :) "I was wondering if you would investigate my privates" lol 3:12 "You're pretty tough when youre on the phone aren't u little fella" "Thats right, telephone tough guy"

The epitome of the perfect actor
Not to mention he kicked off Franki Valli and the four season’s career and played a badass lawyer lol
Yeah , he is a funny guy .
Yeah, "Casino" came out close to the same time as "LW4"
Versatile actor.
To this day I'm shocked Chris Rock and Joe Pesci didn't become a modern day comedy duo. They were absolutely perfect here.
MetalPersonJ they could have did a movie with their characters
check5000 that would of been so funny 😂
Not even movies, just as like a spruced up stand-up comedy act.
MetalPersonJ Gone Fishin Part 2 would be a great movie.
MetalPersonJ .. I agree with you those guys are very funny😂😂
Chris was right. It's almost 20 years later and that damn 3-hour battery lasting only 20 minutes is even more spot on than ever (sometimes even when the damn phone isn't being used at all)!
krayzeejojo At least they recognized Chris’ complaint about cell phones getting smaller. Now they’re getting bigger
I say they should’ve kept them small, so kids these days can lose them to experience the real world for longer periods of time before they get replacements.
That’s my damn iPhone in a nutshell
Well our phones can do more then there’s.
My Mom just told me how she and Dad had that kind of phone when me and my siblings were kids back then.

Lethal Weapon is the only franchise not to have a weak entry. Condolences on your loss.
Sorry to hear about your loss.
My condolences on your loss.
And, yes: Not only do I love the scene in the dentist's office, I consider it quite possibly one of the funniest scenes in cinematic history.
Great acting by Joe Pesci. God Bless him for entertaining us.
I can’t believe Joe Pesci was Nominated for a Razzie for Lethal Weapon 4
He was always great
"Private Investigator, yes, I was wondering if you would be willing to investigate my privates." OMG that got me, ESPECIALLY the accent! 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
@@josgn That was WAY too funny! 🤣🤣🤣
He sounds like the villain from part 2 what a clever way to reference that🤣🤣🤣
@@viewmaster617 Oh yes indeed
"I was wondering if you will be willing to investigate my privates."

@@bogdangaric4540That is a Scottish accent! That’s hilarious. Lol

Thats right telephone tough guy 🤣
Why am I talking to you on the phone?
😂😂😂😂
@Mr. Q The Music what happened to your face? No means No! 😂😂😂😂
Hey, hey, hey, hey. This kid's going to like me, I can tell.
20 years later this scene is funny as hell. Props to all those involved

@poubelle mail what's your main language? Do u know Spanish?
Leos cell phone rant was priceless and Martin pulling a prank on Leo was hysterical
Yeah phone tough guy... why am I taking to you on the cellphone 😂😂
Before rush hour there was lethal weapon
Rush hour and lethal weapon 4 are actually both from 1998
And the Lethal Weapon TV show was better than the Rush Hour show.
No shit
@@Locadel2003 there were 3 other lethal weapon movies before that dumbass
That movie has more in common with 48hrs, least half that and half this
'Telephone tough guy!' hahaha..
"That's right, telephone tough guy!" rofl!!
Put Vito on the phone!
1:28 Leo’s expression is hilarious 😆
Hahahaha I was laughing at that too
Even Brother Chris Rock too
Remember Home Alone 2 when Marv was attack by pigeons at Central Park 😂
Good to see some Chris Rock standup in the middle of a Lethal Weapon movie
Fun fact : that was full improv. In the script it literally says "rant about cell phones or someshit for a while ".
Good thing they cast a stand up comic in this otherwise this would not have been as funny as it was
@@hakc97againtwo!! Pesci definitely grabbed the mic in his earliest days
Ffs, no. It wasn't improvised. There is never any fucking improvisation despite what you fucking weirdos who keep saying there is think. Get a life.
The whole clip is classic but Mel Gibson makes the scene complete when he calls Joe Pesci. "Shut the F*ck up" omg 🤣🤣
This is one of many reasons why Lethal Weapon 4 rocked XD
I laughed more at when Gibson got into it with the phone.
I hollered
Hello Mr Getz, you're a private investigator? I'd like you to come and investigate my privates lmao
"3 hour battery that lastest 20 fkin minutes"

Not sure what iPhone you’re using where you only get 20 minutes of battery life but it’s probably a Chinese knockoff “AyePhone”
When they kept pulling him up off the chair.
"What ever. What ever." 😂
Joe Pesci 🙌
The part with Pesci and Rock was probably not scripted, just two comedic geniuses shining brightly.
The nitrous oxide scene with Benny gives this a serious run for its money.
This scene is so random. It's like "Hey, we have Chris Rock in this movie. Let's have him do a 3 minute stand up bit in the middle of the movie."
"Douche Ventura: Pet Infected"
HAHAHAHA!!!!!!
The 3 hour battery only lasts 20 f'n minutes!! Sounds like my iPhone.

What a Chris Rock stand up comedy 😂😂
The fact that chris tucker turned this role down makes me wonder
It came out the same year as rush hour. Probably did not want to get type cast.
Most likely because he was already working on Rush Hour, both movies released in ‘98, you figure filming/production was done in ‘97. Chances are he was on a strict contract
Chris Rock played Lee Butters.
He was busy in rush hour investigating privates lol
He obviously chose to take on Rush Hour instead. Besides this is probably the worst of the Lethal Weapon films
Those two better be in lethal weapon 5
Chris Rock is making me laugh hes voice is so rocking roll
