I have been around this type of music all my life and this guy is not only the real deal, he is a true gentleman who is exactly what is needed atm. People are sick of all the gimmicks & b/s that goes with fame and artists with very little talent these days. It is refreshing to see a sober coherent artist who is in it purely for the music. Good on you Joe, you deserve all the success you get, and the guitars too.
Even after 50 years of playing and listening, Mr Bonamassa is able to make the simple 12 bar blues brand new all over again. The song is so clear, I love the space and all the beautiful gingerbread. And the hottest backup singers ever. He has taken proper charge and control of genre and stuns as much vocally as he he does with his playing. And I love how he shares so much of the stage with worthy talent allowing them to show off. I can't image it done any better. Bravo! Kudos!
In my 68 years of loving and collecting music, I can't say that Joe's the best I've ever seen (there is no "Best")... but I can honestly say I've never seen anyone better.
You are probably right about 'the best'. But let me ask you this: When was the last time someone sent you a high quality video and audio of a live blues band performing at this level, making it all happen so professionally, for free, to enjoy with your Sunday morning coffee? It's like a baby Christmas. I love playing along with tracks as well and listening to him talk about whatever interests him. This guy GIVES AWAY THE STORE. He is an incredible musical and entrepreneurial success and I just love it all.
I loved SRV, and started loving the blues with him. But now JB, Joe Bonamassa, commands my attention. I’m going to see him live in St. Louis, Missouri on 10/30/2021. And I have an extra ticket for a real blues fan.
Reese Wynns chords , arrangements are classic, done with feeling ,pure soul ! Amazing ! One of the very few true Jazz blues B3 HAMMO ORGANISTS LEFT TO TKO US !
Yes I agree Joe is quite a gentleman and blues artist. We all need peace of mind enjoyment with someone real not plastic. Love his awesome blues very very much...keep singing and playing those blues for us all. Kiitos
Music isn't a competition.....but clearly Joe is at the top of this music genre...and raising the bar with stellar guitar work while fronting a big-band.
Many can shred on guitar these days, but making real music while shredding is a business very few can master ...Bonamassa surprise me at every phrase and always keep me in expectation for the next.
I haven't heard anything that he's produced that is less than the best blues I have heard on the planet. I agree with those of you who brought up his big-band and back up singers. They all are tremendously talented. Can't wait till he makes it back to Tucson.
This has got to be one of the most sassy, bluesy, soulful renditions of any blues songs ever. On a side note, did Albert King ever release anything that was not fucking stellar?
I HEAR YA ! I'm an old Elvis Fan and Amazing Joe is putting Elvis almost out of my hearing range Come on I was married to "Can't Help Falling In Love" Beautify married for 30 years now !!! GO JOE B~
If you watch sports, you want to see the best players with the best support staff doing the best they can. So, for all the wankers who say this is sterile because its too polished and void of emotion, your just looking to complain and you know nothing about music. This is great musicianship led by a quality human being who doesn't need drugs and alcohol or bizarre kicks, he just loves to rock out with other players who can lay the platform needed to soar at those levels. If you don't get it, fine, but please just leave the ignorant bitter comments out of it. JB has done nothing to you and nobody forces you to listen or watch, you came here all by yourself and maybe that's the problem, your by yourself, so leave the rest of us to enjoy great music with appropriate comments from people who also enjoy it. Plenty of electro pop or ballad FM for the rest of you.
I saw Eric Clapton at Starwood amphatheater many years ago. Like Clapton, he comes out on stage with no bullshit and just does what a master guitarist does. He wows the audience with his talent.
This whole album is Joe knockin' it out. Absolutely love it. Congrats on the Grammy nomination, you've bluesed and worked your way into it and there's no doubt you should take it home.
At 70 music has been in my life for all of my years. Joe Bonamassa is new to me but the music is not.His guitar ability surely ranks up there with all the greats in an genre of music to say nothing of his distinctive and ever growing voice. It is heart warming to see this talent and to listen to a future hall of fame in music individual!
Each member of the band is a master which makes it such an uplifting and supremely enjoyable experience to be witness to. Includes the back- up singers as well. Joe's videos are hypnotic for me. Gotta dance, ya know.
Man I'm going to tell you what this guy is top f****** notch I could listen to him to the sun comes up he is truly a blessed individual and he has one hell of a band to back him up God bless him may God keep him safe thank you Jesus for him
Me and Wife were just talking how they played out songs in the 70s and 80s on the radio.MR. Joe Bonamassa would have been the song that you never got tired of hearing.
Smokin' Joe nails it! This whole album nails it. The miracle of it all is that the best ever keeps getting better. Il Capo di Tutti Capi--The Boss of all the Bosses.
Ho scoperto da poco Joe Bonamassa , bravissimo, un autentico blues-man e una sezione fiati incredibile !!!Un modo molto moderno di interpretare il blues !! Un grande !!!!!!!!!!!
We've been watching Joe since he was in High School. Can you believe this Titan of Song was too shy to sing? I think his voice sounds better every time I hear it and I know I've never heard a better Guitar virtuoso & I'm Not leaving anybody out of that comparison. He would never agree of course, but I've been playing & loving music for 50 years and Joe is that Digital Age, Next Level musician that has eased right on in and changed the Music Industry as we've known it, so much for the better with all aspects being handled by His Manager and Producer, in House! NO Record Company needed when you can do it all yourself. That trendsetting arraignment has been shown to us along the way in videos they make that are very informative on all aspects of their endeavors, be it a new song, ensemble or Guitar that Joe finds in his spare time on Guitar Safari! This Wickedly Talented Man is having a Blast being him. Thanks for letting us ride along Joe, We Dig It!
Man I heard of Joe many moons ago when he covered Led Zeppelin Tea for One.What a great version of Albert King and it reminded me of the late great Garry Moore and the Midnight Blues Band. Top notch Love from Melbourne Australia
Joe Bonamassa is not the be all and end all of the blues. He's just the end all, because there's no one coming through after him. He's just keeping the blues alive... and doing it very well.
3:36 this man is not selfish he quite let’s others take lead on guitar brass keyboards backing vocals etc. The guy knows it’s not all about him. Without his band he is nothing. What a man. Generous to a fault.,❤❤❤❤❤
The young kid was good! The Man he turned out to be is in A League of no one else, he seems to put all in their place, For all the well known that he has invited on stage makes them sound like beginner's, Put him in top class with some of the best we have had, Too many to list! SRV was in a class at the top, For Now Its' Joe B and What'a Job It will be to catch up too him!

Don't have to say that Joe is great here...but those backup singers are KILLING it!!!!
in a positive, or bad way ?

Joe is a down to earth person. And a guitar God.
Joe is a man of humility and grace. Very classy act. Has been since his early days. Love him for him!
The person that will take his place isn't even born yet.
Is that actually one of Albert's Flying V's?
Agree 100 %
Keyed in on Michael Rhodes bass work on this track. So sad that he's gone now, what a legendary bassist
