I say this as someone who usually listens to much heavier music, I actually love the Pop influence. It's stuff like this that could really change the direction of pop music in a good way.
I am so glad I wasn't the only one that thought "This could EASILY be mistaken for an Ariana Grande song..." I kinda like it but I feel like I shouldn't lol.
The people saying stuff like "this isn't hard enough" don't understand what's musically going on in this song.. these riffs are RIDICULOUS, guys are crazy talented.
Love the direction issues has headed with their music. The fact that Michael can sing too adds more variety to their songs, and what they have now sounds amazing.
I just learned about this band! What a great sound, so eclectic and all members sound agile and capable. Melodically compelling, groovy and dancey, heavy in sections. Great selection of tones out of the guitar and bass, use of clean tones make great contrast against distortion. Just so many great musical choices! Killer track.
This is so so dope, I can picture this album being an excellent jam for when the summer comes around! Love the positive vibes I'm getting off of this song, feels different to the slightly more sad self-titled, which is cool since I'm loving both sides so far, just remains to be seen which one is better ;)
Man I know this sound isn't for everybody but I just want to give AJ and Sky a hug for that groovy ass jazzy ass Polyphia vibe. So damn good. Within every album you can hear AJ's progression as a guitarist. So stoked for this album.
Am I the only one who, when listening to this band, gets a feeling of summer? I would listen to Issues all the time on the way to school in May and June, I just feel warm now listening to them in the colder months
Michael's new style is so sick, you can tell by the beginning of the song the album is gonna be heavier than past material. I feel this is giving us just a small taste of the direction they are heading. I love the jazz influence in this song, & skyes bass skills are really put to use. blue walls is heavy asf I can't wait for this album.
Okay when I first heard this I didn't like what was going on- probably bc I'm hungover but after sitting on the toilet for 20 minutes listening to this song I think it's starting to grow on me. It's prob gonna be like the last album where I didn't like it at first but eventually I loved it.
This band was lightning in a bottle. I can't believe this sound never took off and made them big. Its such a good mesh of styles. I guess metal isn't allowed to have this much fun.
Ngl this song gets better with time. When this first dropped it was just okay and honestly now it’s one of my favs by them. Shit is so catchy. Production crispy. Ahead of its time
I dont think I can conisider them metal anymore. Heavy and Hardcore influenced, but not metal. And I am NOT saying that as a bad thing, quite the contrary actually. I think ISSUES are seriously evolving and turning out to be SOO much more than just a typical metalcore band because of their WIDE range of influences and how they handle their experimentation. They are becoming their own entity and I love it. Kind of like how Dance Gavin Dance is SOOO much more than a typical post-hardcore band. Definately one of the best releases this year.
The last minute of this song is better than anything Issues has ever put out in terms of actual song composition. Fantastic to hear a relative degree of complexity going on now.
Issues is my favorite band, and I swear I hate every song the first time I hear it. It's so weird I go from "meh not for me" to "this is groovy as shit"
@@freeassange8864 And at what point did they say they were trying to make brutal hardcore? They make the music they want and obviously enough people like it. You don't, so just take your tunnel-vision music tastes elsewhere
@@freeassange8864 Thats like me being mad at Blink for not being 'brutal', there are different genres my friend, this is definitely one great mix of a bunch, its called 'diversity and experimentation' so stop being a jerk just because this band isnt whats you want them to be.
yikes bud. that jazz chord ridden breakdown. like what. I've pretty much given up on the whole core thing in favor of jazz, but like thats nuts. from theoretical stand point holy shit
i love how they're basically doing the whole "80's movie" ski mountain type of theme here. i wasn't a huge fan of issues when they first came out with songs like "king of amarillo", but they've really progressed in my eyes and I've become more of a fan with every album they release. Bought the last self titled album and fell in love and this album is even Better. Hero is my shit! can't wait to see you guys live again!
+Douglas Wears that's what I was thinking. Djent is more Volumes, Veil of Maya kinda stuff. I feel like that might have tried to get the djent vibe going, but it's toooooo poppy for me.
I swear down I must of watched this so many times and I don't regret any of them. I love issues so much and everything about this is great from the song down to the video! So many bands bringing out new music
This is evolution at its finest. It is still Issues, but BETTER! They took what they had, added more amazing stuff and made it everything better! The guitar parts are wayyyy better, Tyler is amazing as always but that isn't a surprise, the production is tasty as fuck AND THE GROOVE GUYS THE GROOVE GOES SO FUCKING HARD! Just because it isn't as heavy as some of their other songs that doesnt mean its worst. There only a handful of Rise bands that are actually good and these dudes are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too god damn good.
Issues - Headspace (2016) :D Lanzamiento: 20 de Mayo Tracklist: 1. The Realest 2. Home Soon 3. Lost-n-Found (On a Roll) 4. Yung & Dum 5. Made to Last 6. Flojo 7. Hero 8. Coma 9. Rank Rider 10. Blue Wall 11. Someone Who Does 12. I Always Knew 13. Slow Me Down

+Scarlett Sykes what did pierce the veil do?
+Rick van Pol they released a song earlier today
architects as well. their album comes out in may
Ikrr! & we can't forget Crown the Empire's new song "Zero"
No way this came out 7 years ago😭😭 such a banger
best years of my life so far was when this albums dropped. lol
You feel that groove?
That's the slap of those sick bass lines and issues smacking you right in the face.
I say this as someone who usually listens to much heavier music, I actually love the Pop influence. It's stuff like this that could really change the direction of pop music in a good way.
I totally agree
Exactly man! Instead of looking at this as destroying metal, look at it as improving pop
Javin Maillet finally some music I can try on pants to..
I am so glad I wasn't the only one that thought "This could EASILY be mistaken for an Ariana Grande song..." I kinda like it but I feel like I shouldn't lol.
Velopod
The bassist is really underrated. Easily the grooviest man in metalcore
That was one of my first thoughts hearing them also, dude is soo frickin nasty! Tit-slappin goodness ya ask me.
sky is amazing
he will be singning the new songs :) in 2024 if you havent know xd@@miyalapeters2720

+Mind Vacuous ew
The people saying stuff like "this isn't hard enough" don't understand what's musically going on in this song.. these riffs are RIDICULOUS, guys are crazy talented.
their music is like metal and hip hop and pop and rnb and maybe a bit of edm rolled into one. my brain is confused but i like it
R&Bcore perhaps....
+grimmiekweenslays or Nu-metalcore?
Its Metalcore funk. Its fused. Like Dance Gavin Dance. They're post hardcore even though they have funk influences.
dude your right on the dot
It's like metalcore, nu-metal, djent, 90's boyband pop+R&B, all in one music style
Love the direction issues has headed with their music. The fact that Michael can sing too adds more variety to their songs, and what they have now sounds amazing.
He could be the lead singer of a band in my opinion. he can scream and sing. :D
Tyler taking it back to his southern roots, I like it.
6 years later and this song still gives me the same vibes I had when it came out 🥹🖤
You and me both 🖤
i've been blessed by michael's clean vocals
Or cursed... Yikes
Not by his "rapping" though
+Benlikesdamusic honestly not having Michael scream at all was kind of cringey
+Infinity on Hannah fancy seeing you here.
The bass reminds me of Don Broco. Friggin groovy fam. Sky straight killing it.
Don broco are INSAAAANE love those guys
lost it when he said I can give you a ride on my motorsicle😂👌

SAME!
Are you bosnian? Just guessing since your last name is Perović lol
Bands Are Us What a strange thing to observe - yeah I am! I don't live in Bosnia though if that's what you were wondering haha
+Severin Perović I'd guess you live in st louis
YESSS I AGREE
Two of my favorite bands release songs in one day.
this has been the best day ever
I'm just glad there's experimentation instead of the same old formula. This is the direction I was hoping they'd go in in all honesty.
This band was something special
Absolute FAVORITE song rn
sameee
same. still.
I'm so pumped for this album. That slap bass makes me feel new feelings. My body is ready.
So many 80-90 Vibes, this is a master work
this band should play at the grammys or some shit like that they are simple amazing
Can we appreciate how fucking hard the bass goes in this song? Fuck man.
Whole song is sick bro, but yes the bass slaps
Will always be one of my favorite bands. Like this shit if you've been listening to them since 2012!!!

Tourettes does not make you lose memory mate.. is a nerve impulse desorder cheers!
i think it was a joke haha

Am I the only one who, when listening to this band, gets a feeling of summer? I would listen to Issues all the time on the way to school in May and June, I just feel warm now listening to them in the colder months
First time listening and it sounds like commercial hip hop/pop mixed with djenty metal
Yeah but it's amazing and unique
+Madara meh
+Z Man Dont even
Polyphia has more of that R&B vibe to it, if you're interested in.
Damn Tyler, back it again with the sweet vocals!
I don't think I've ever watched a video so much in such a short amount of time.
me rn
Can't wait to hear the rest of the album. With summer just around the corner, this album will be on my playlist for sure. Stoked.
Met the bassist for these guys on my first time seeing them, he is deadset the best performer ever. His moonwalk is on point.
This song is so great
It's July and I'm STILL obsessed with this song. It gets me so hyped!
Michael's new style is so sick, you can tell by the beginning of the song the album is gonna be heavier than past material. I miss this band a lotttt 😢
This band was lightning in a bottle. I can't believe this sound never took off and made them big. Its such a good mesh of styles. I guess metal isn't allowed to have this much fun.
7 fucking years ago! Wow that has flown by. I feel old now😅
I'm completely undecided about this!
hey wow im feelin this i like it a lot. summer vibes
Ngl this song gets better with time. When this first dropped it was just okay and honestly now it’s one of my favs by them. Shit is so catchy. Production crispy. Ahead of its time
Digging the bass guitar on this track! Super funkylicious
Tyler acting like the dirty Southerner that he is hahaha
yikes didn't age well
@@valkamochalin3348 Unfortunately it aged like fine wine.
MAINSTREAM RADIO HERE WE COME!!
+Flyh not with screaming they wont
+Sully Cortez crushing dreams one person at a time lmao
+Flyh Why would you want them to be "mainstream?"
+Sully Cortez lmao savagery
omg flyh im a big fan

perfectttt
+Cale Coleman fucking amazing
primo
ok i guess the autotune help a bit
Yeah but how about them live? They're pure crap
I dont think I can conisider them metal anymore. Heavy and Hardcore influenced, but not metal. And I am NOT saying that as a bad thing, quite the contrary actually. Definately one of the best releases this year.
Silentwolfx84 it's metal, it's Nu-metal with Funk
Posthardcore, Nu metal, R&B
Holy shit, this comment could never be more true. Beautiful Oblivion is a showcase of that evolution you mentioned. I quite like the fusion
its metal
Tyler needs to be in a movie.
the look on Tyler's fave when Michael pulls down his sunglasses will make me laugh every time
love it
Glad to see Scout still doing things with Issues
this was filmed awhile ago
OKAY THIS IS BASICALLY PERFECTION????????? WHAT?????????????
The bass lines in this track, are just killing it! Definitely one of the best bassists out there right now! Stoked for this album!
This album is going to bang harder than the cops at my door telling me to turn it down.
SKY ON THE BASS IN THAT BREAK OH SHIT THATS A GOOD BASS PART
Needs more of that funky bass tho
Can I get an amen brotha?
bassist got funk in his blood. flojo is proof of that
cant say I love this issues... still love the old stuff though
+Anisa Justine Have you heard Coma? or Blue wall yet?
I met the whole band at the last warped tour there ever was in San Antonio! It was amazing!!! 🤩
I swear, seeing this band live made me love this song, and the band, a lot more than when I first listened to it.
Damn that bass groove was awesome! Sky is such a great bassist
Anybody else loving the new style?
fuck yes
Amazing track, great blend of styles and even the bassist gets a chance to flex!
Just a ordinary hillarious friendship love story with an outstanding song from Issues
The last minute of this song is better than anything Issues has ever put out in terms of actual song composition. Fantastic to hear a relative degree of complexity going on now.
Disliked it at first, just like the first album, but god damn do Issues' songs grow on me!
Sameeee and I love the song and the whole album
Issues is my favorite band, and I swear I hate every song the first time I hear it. It's so weird I go from "meh not for me" to "this is groovy as shit"
+Kyle Landry that's how I am lol but I listen to so many bands to have a favorite lol, it's just so hard to choose
It's the same for me as well!
That was me too tbh
That blink-182 tattoo tho
@@freeassange8864 And at what point did they say they were trying to make brutal hardcore? They make the music they want and obviously enough people like it. You don't, so just take your tunnel-vision music tastes elsewhere

Favorite band even though they broke up :( please make instrumental versions of your other albums. Love singing them in my car
❤️❤️❤️ can’t never get tired of issues
yikes bud. that jazz chord ridden breakdown. like what. I've pretty much given up on the whole core thing in favor of jazz, but like thats nuts. from theoretical stand point holy shit
😎
+Skyler Acord Skyler's bass lines are a huge part of ISSUES sound. Love it! Great job man!
+Skyler Acord I bet you know a lot of Victor Wooten songs.
+Darco Fearless Oi, fuck off, won't you?
Have you listened to new Protest the Hero? Different kind of metal but definitely jazz influence on some of the songs for sure
I miss 2016
I can't get enough of this song. So fucking catchy
i love how they're basically doing the whole "80's movie" ski mountain type of theme here. i wasn't a huge fan of issues when they first came out with songs like "king of amarillo", but they've really progressed in my eyes and I've become more of a fan with every album they release. Absolutely flawless. Love everything about this new song.
Michael used to just scream, now he raps and sings. Tyler should try out some screams, any one with me?
DJENT LEVEL 1,000
Ok
+tristananvilcaster Not sure you understand what djent is but sure.
+Douglas Wears It has some influence in there, a lot of the chorus was very Novelists-esque. Not a bad thing
+Douglas Wears that's what I was thinking. Djent is more Volumes, Veil of Maya kinda stuff. I feel like that might have tried to get the djent vibe going, but it's toooooo poppy for me.
***** Cool. Not suspicious at all.
the beginning looked like a Jarrod Alonge video
I swear down I must of watched this so many times and I don't regret any of them. I love issues so much and everything about this is great from the song down to the video! So many bands bringing out new music
2:08 is Tyler's fav scene.
anyone else think they should sell that jersey michael wore as a merch? i'd defo buy it 😍

Michael Musto Thank you, Im glad Im not the only one who thinks this way!
I really love Michael's vocals in this
***** I'm not amazed by that part but the rest of the song shows so much progression!
N'Sync + Metal + Limp Bizkit + Funk = This song. EDIT: I added Limp Bizkit due to popular demand.
hahaha, yep. the "hey, hey"s sound straight outta "bye, bye, bye"! lol
+Brittany Butler That's exactly what I was thinking.
they have a song on the album where I swear he sounds like miley cyrus
08bourquem lol which one? i've been listening to it all week! never noticed!
+Brittany Butler yung & dum
just wanna give sky some props on this one, that base groove is funky man!

Todas las canciones de Issues me traen muchos recuerdos de los últimos 2 años, algunos buenos y otros malos :(
Me: *sees this in subscription box*

Best new release in this genre in years.
that moment when you realize issues is experimenting with funk
+Clay Chan ラジカル Its just called evolution, anything evolves when funk is present
