I'd be disappointed if you couldn't, gotta have the squad together. I think they're weak enough to be balanced. Unlike say a 5 man team of fusion characters.
I like the one guy wanted to play and show off Mr. Satan, but after his opponent decided to be cheap and just spam Kamehameha preventing he from exploring the character, he proceeds to stomp his ass with Buu 😂

That is the "staming/ki break" BT3 had this if you blocked with low ki and guard broke as well.
If you're curious regarding the final match: Each player "drafted" a character based on their preferences for the team captains to play a revenge match, to a limit of 15 DP based on my limited understanding of what was said. The draft went as such:
Luna drafted Dabura, who cost 6 DP.
Oonuki drafted A. Gohan (due to his relationship with Pan and Videl, whom he played) for 4 DP.
Told he was left with 5 points, SHAKA picked Base Super Broly who is presumably 5 DP.
Pekora picked Dr. Gero, worth 4 DP.
Ariken picked the meager Saibaman, worth 2 DP.
Left with 9 whole points, Kazunoko examines the DP values and picks MUI Goku, once again presumably a character reflecting the max cost.
Trivia facts based on BT3 DP costs:
Saibaman and Gero's DP costss are unchanged.
Dabura and (base) A. Gohan both had their DP cost reduced by one point. So it seems like the middle/high-middle of the pack is getting compressed to make room for Super and its increased power ceiling.
Z Broly's costs in BT3 were 4 -> 7 -> 9 going from base to LSSJ. So even if base Super Broly's cost SEEMS low, it's not unlikely that he'll hit 9 or 10 at LSSJ, with 10 likely once again being the max cost.
even if it's base, Super Broly being cheaper than Dabura feels criminal.

Im not sure if anyone else noticed but during the Videl and Buu fight, when she tries to block angry explosion she gets surprised right before it touches her.

Some extra, non-DP related thoughts:
The sacred world of the Kais - I think maybe the ground issue is so visible there because other areas don't have such densely rendered grass. They gotta make the grass transparent when viewed from a certain angle or somesuch (I don't know how possible this is, I ain't programmed no games)
The many grab clashes of Dr. Gero - this caught my attention while watching the live broadcast too, perhaps Kazunoko knew that Dr. Gero's grab drained health/ki and went for it frequently for that reason, and SHAKA was calling it out?
Dabura's Aura - This is really interesting to me. We KNOW they are working on Daima content for this game already, including a character compelted for launch, they must have access to visual assets of the show. Could they have designed Dabura's aura to reflect what we can expect demonic auras to look like in Daima? 👀
Super Explosive Wave type attacks definitely seem cheap if they're all unblockable. Might be the first thing I try to learn to reliable counterplay against based on this footage alone.
UI Goku vs. DBS Broly, masterful skills versus pure savagery. The honed instincts of a master martial artist tempered through countless battles versus the primal instinct of one forced to survive in perilous conditions by relying on their inner beast.

Maybe they played with DP points so that's why one guy could use the whole Ginyu force while the other guy only used Vegito and Gotenks.
More powerfull characters cost more points to use so you can have less of them while less powerfull ones cost less so you can have more.
Or he just wanted to flex by picking 2 chars.

I’m pretty sure of you have all weak characters like yamcha, krillin, guldo, early goku etc you can have a lot of people on your team, but if you have characters like Mui Goku, Jiren, Dbs Broly, Ssjb Gogeta ect you are only allowed to have like 2 or 3, I think that’s how it works

The characters are DBS shape-based. This is a design choice, I (we) get it. There's not a single thing in this world that every single human likes, there's always going to be a one opinion which won't follow (like videos on YT).
But, my personal taste is DBZ more-bulky characters. This is (one of) the reason(s) why I got the game for PC, because modders are gonna come in and change this game beautifully even more, so to each his own.

In BT3, I believe False Courage had 2 forms. If it costs 2 BP it was the normal version. If it cost 1 it gave you debuffs as well. Hercule also had a Debuff version.

This reminds me the Gundam Vs. Series. The cost system is a creative mechanic that I’ve always felt allows the game to remain true to the source material and instigate some creative gameplay. I’m sure they’ll be some tweaking post-launch, but I’d prefer this than it not being here in DBSZ. IMO online will be more of cluster f#%* without it.
I also 100% believe the cost system should allow full Ginyu force gtfo if not, that would be so much less fun. They’re a goofy ass team.

wonder how they're gonna balance ranked because this game will not be balanced on a character by character basis. So they have to somehow add some kind of power level system or something per team so if you pick a super OP high power level character you only get one where as if you pick lower power level characters you can have multiple? Or certain characters are unranked only or they have a pool of characters that are specific to ranked that are all balanced with eachother. BT has never been nor should really be ranked or competitive in an online sense with a ranking system.
Ranked is going to be based on a DP limit of 15.
@@tacopolicecar I’m assuming DP is the “power level” thing I mentioned. Even still it might be worth removing certain characters from ranked entirely. Ik most BT players recognize non of the games were designed to be competitive and I think ranked in this game will be a very difficult thing to pull off especially with a roster of this size even with a power level system.
@@thewowmister You can’t remove characters from rank, especially if you plan to release DLC and have pre-order characters. They don’t want to eliminate people’s fun because their mains/favorite characters are unavailable in ranked or removed down the road for balance.

If the DP system is ANYTHING like in that, then it's fine to put the more stronger characters in. For references, fusions like SSJ4 Gogeta costed 10 points.

The whole point of tenkaichi is that you can play everyone thats the main appeal taking away the main appeal out of ranked would be the stupidest idea. The DP system will be there to prevent people from starting the op characters. If you pick too many OP characters you gonna end up with less team members. This way you can pick who ever you want but you gotta think about your decissions.
Either you pick strong characters but have less of a team meaning you gonna have to fight more characters. Or you pick a balanced team and you have a full group. Characters should never be out of ranked in a fighting game tho that just doesn't make any sense especially one where hte appeal is fighting with who ever you want. Removing who you want to play would be litterally murdering the game online would die thats an afwul idea.
Wait. Gotenks can go straight into Super Saiyan 3? I thought gameplay wise it had to be base since they were both in base? Whats the determining factor? Health?
Saiyans can jump straight to specific forms with enough gauge and button combos in BT3, I imagine it's the same here

The character costs are definitely different compared to BT3. Beerus costs probably 10 DP and that should be the max. I don’t think there are more expansive ones and that’s good.

Kaz winning with a Ginyu Force character by time out shows that Whis mains or any very high dp cost character will be at a huge disadvantage against 5-man teams, you are playing a strong character but you also have to be good enough to kill all 5 or make sure you have the health advantage when the timer runs out

so hearing stuff likes its not fair to have the whole ginyu force or pam doing little damage with her ult, you gotta remember this is balanced off the anime not an actual fighting game. Pretty much think along the lines of One fusion is pretty much the whole ginyu force itself. Also incase you never played the old games (New to the channel) DP points are what equal the amount of characters you can have, Fusion are some of the highest costing points after broly.

How should we use supers instead of raw, is there a mechanic similar to stamina break? I played very very little of BT3 so Im not familiar with how things normally work.
That energy ball vs. explosive wave needs to be fixed, doesn’t make sense Beerus can’t throw straight down. It can still lose to the wave, that’s fine. But it’s wonky looking this way.
Does someone know how to recover when you get smacked away? Like in bt3 on playstation it was spamming circle to recover quicker now theres nothing displayed?

the ki blast spam screwed bro over since he was always out of ki and couldn't ult or do much movement, in comparison the other guy almost never did any ki blasts and was able to spam ult and rushes.
