Krillen fought stronger saiyans than Cabba in Kamis lookout during the saiyan saga. That's my argument. Oh and he's married to 18 who is obviously just as strong as 17 who won the tournament of power. So that means 18 is peak and krillen wrecks that every night. Krillen solos everyone.

This looks like the perfect dragon ball game to me. It's like everything i wanted since super ended, and this mode really is going to be my most played mode, so i hope people go crazy making stories

In terms of in-battle transformations, I suspect that they will be tied to certain fixed "events", similar to Burst Limit. Like during a custom battle if your character loses 50% HP, you can set an event where certain text is shown and your character transforms, etc.
That’s such a cool detail in whis’s ult attack, when he’s charging up the ball beerus is attacking goku and then whis shoots the ball which surprises beerus and you see exclamation marks appear before he moves out of the way
Talking about the game's longevity, I'm very excited for the DLC. I hope every movie and saga gets their own revision via the DLC, such as stages that were left out from the game featured in those sagas/movies, lesser seen characters such as the Crusher Corps, Cooler's Armored Squadron, and Bojack's crew. And after all that, then go hard on stuff like What-If Fusions. I want these DLC to affect and complement every part of the game. This may be asking for too much, but this is the bare minimum: Each DLC has a story battle which represents a bit of a movie or saga. New DLC characters featured in said saga appear in these story battles. Each DLC also comes with a new stage to make the story battle better. And of course, all of this melts down into more content for the custom modes. Even if each DLC is 20$, if this is what they give, I'm good. Stuff which affects every aspect of the game each time and makes it even better. And for example, DLC could even come with new costumes for characters which are already in the roster that don't need an entirely new variant. Like for example, by buying the Bojack movie DLC, you could get the turtle hermit gi Gohan uses against Bojack. As an example, I'll use DBS Superhero to represent all I want in the average DLC (20$ easily): New characters, like Gohan (DBS) which features transformations from base, Super Saiyan, Ultimate, and Beast, along with his casual costume and caped purple gi. Same level of detail with Piccolo. Then of course characters like teen Goten and Trunks which can fuse and possibly use SSJ to go more manga side. Then you'd just have costumes for Krillin and 18, along with Cell Max. Them after that, a single Red Ribbon Army courtyard with the same reaction capabilities as the movie (like it starts off rainy, weather can change via Super Saiyan and above transformations, and huge structure destruction. A story battle DLC which in this case adds on to Piccolo and Gohan's story, allowing you to use both transformations. New character interactions, and that's about it. The cast of characters could even include new costumes for Goku, Broly and Vegeta.
This might be random, but I'm going to create a storyline where Kid Goku accidentally travels to the future, where he had to experience all the future fighters he faced before.
I can't wait for the sheer creativity people will make with this, from possible new fan arcs, what ifs, and even Memes, this mode is by far the thing I'm most excited about in this game

Something I'd love to see regarding this, is a "Super World" feature, like Mario Maker. Being able to create a string of battles that are connected in "one folder" basically. It'd let you get more creative with longer what-if stories with continuity between them, and from the user's end, you'd get a bunch of custom battles of similar quality to each other without having to comb through a bunch of other ones of possibly subpar quality.
this mode is what got me preordering. It's what I did for years back in Budokai Tenkaichi, make up my own imagined scenes to play in. I love that now it's something we can actually do in-game.
Yeah I'm sold, custom battles are going to be what keeps this game going for years to come. We'll be able to create entire storylines as if they're episodes, create our own what ifs, create scenes from the movies or episoes that didn't make it into game, create custom battle conditions that other's will have to figure out to win (think xenoverse 2 parallel quests), and expand on the creations that others made. The only thing that could make this mode better imo is if there is a reward system for it. For example if the devs have preset rewards for the custom battles they specifically made, or if there were some challenges involed like completing 5 custom battles for a reward etc.

With custom battles, you could create an entire storyline where Trunks travels to the past to the moment the Saiyans attack earth and maybe help Goku defeat Vegetta and Frieza, or another Storyline where Goku never got to earth and became a planet conquerer and when the Saiyans invade earth, maybe Goku would be the one trying to k1ll the Z Warriors on earth alongside Raditz instead of Nappa and Vegetta.

What I want to understand about custom battles is it I can make a max of separate encounters. For example from the moment I saw it I had in mind a short storyline with meta Cooler which should go intro>encounter 1>cutscene>encounter 2>cutscene>encounter 3>ending. Having separate encounters would tie everything toghether nicely and would allow me to have more freedom.
I’m gonna make my own episodes about the fights we didn’t see. Goku Vs Frieza and Cold, Hercule finishing off cell, And of course his legendary battle with Majin Buu in which he saved the universe
The first scenario I have in mind is Raditz, Nappa and Vegeta on Namek in the aftermath of Raditz beating Goku and Piccolo. One thing I think is a must have is a playlist function so you can group your battles together. Though I wonder if your unpublished battles are stored online or locally, 'cus if it's locally, PC players could probably just make a zip file with all the battles in.
They absolutely killed it with Chiaotzu's model, it looks straight out of the Original Dragon Ball. Just wish his ki blasts were still thin fast beams, and I hope he gets an optional different Ultimate attack, but whatever

I think I'm gonna try and make a "saiyans vs frieza Canon difficulty" where you play as bardock against an absolutely juiced first form frieza, and if you whittle down his health he transforms to full power and has the capability to one shot you with any attack.
I'm so excited for this game, but this mode got me thinking how much I also want it for Xenoverse. With all the PQ extra conditions for ultimate finishes as well as stuff like villainous powerups or switching to a different location, a custom PQ editor could be amazing there too.

Do you have to choose the player character or can you set it up like a boss and have the players choose freely...?
You can set free slots, yes! So players can pick who they want, but only as many characters as you want

I guess the english lines aren't in alphabetical order because it's probably in Japanese alphabetical order? So when translated, it's all over the place?
Fortnite changes the alphabetical order depending on the language, so it's possible that, in a future patch, the order changes depending on which language you are, preventing it from looking all over the place

With custom battles, you could create an entire storyline where Trunks travels to the past to the moment the Saiyans attack earth and maybe help Goku defeat Vegetta and Frieza, or another Storyline where Goku never got to earth and became a planet conquerer and when the Saiyans invade earth, maybe Goku would be the one trying to k1ll the Z Warriors on earth alongside Raditz instead of Nappa and Vegetta.

I feel like another thing too is, people are gonna mod this game and add custom "what if" stories into the mix. I can def see it happening. Granted they might do what they did with xenoverse 2 modding where its a custom quest mod, but it would still be the same vibe.

What I want to understand about custom battles is it I can make a max of separate encounters. For example from the moment I saw it I had in mind a short storyline with meta Cooler which should go intro>encounter 1>cutscene>encounter 2>cutscene>encounter 3>ending. Having separate encounters would tie everything toghether nicely and would allow me to have more freedom.
I’m gonna make my own episodes about the fights we didn’t see. Goku Vs Frieza and Cold, Hercule finishing off cell, And of course his legendary battle with Majin Buu in which he saved the universe
The first scenario I have in mind is Raditz, Nappa and Vegeta on Namek in the aftermath of Raditz beating Goku and Piccolo.
One thing I think is a must have is a playlist function so you can group your battles together. Though I wonder if your unpublished battles are stored online or locally, 'cus if it's locally, PC players could probably just make a zip file with all the battles in.

My what if will be Caulifla vs Vegeta, before Vegeta comes to earth :D . This mode is the one I am more hyped by far!

They absolutely killed it with Chiaotzu's model, it looks straight out of the Original Dragon Ball. Just wish his ki blasts were still thin fast beams, and I hope he gets an optional different Ultimate attack, but whatever

I think I'm gonna try and make a "saiyans vs frieza Canon difficulty" where you play as bardock against an absolutely juiced first form frieza, and if you whittle down his health he transforms to full power and has the capability to one shot you with any attack.
I'm so excited for this game, but this mode got me thinking how much I also want it for Xenoverse. With all the PQ extra conditions for ultimate finishes as well as stuff like villainous powerups or switching to a different location, a custom PQ editor could be amazing there too.
