This series is great at dealing with very serious and very real issues.
How? Seriously, I want to know. *NOBODY* said that Clark had to share4 Kryptonian tech with the world at large. Clark just brought it up as a "fairness" issue. Which is massively hypocritical since he has for years favored saving Lois's life even if it means ignoring other people dying! If Clark weren't a hypocrite he wouldn't have a Fortress, because it is a big mass of Kryptonian tech just sitting in the middle of the ocean. He has a Kryptonian spaceship in the barn that was so insecurely stored that two teenage boys with a crowbar got access to it! And what about Tal-Rho's spaceship? Does the U.K. government still have it? Did Clark even think to check? His very *existence* on Earth has already triggered "unfair" scientific advances. Intergang has his blood (and DNA), they have the X-Kryptonite, they have the DoD's top secret database, and they have Bizarro's corpse! So far, Clark is *failing* badly at keeping Kryptonian science from leaking into Human society!

My godson *DIED* after enduring several rounds of chemo-induced "therapy" that left him in incredible *agony!* Because human medicine is hit or miss. Of course he is. As usual, Clark and Lois have been peddling secrets and lies to the boys. But the secret can't keep as Lois's condition worsens. Clark is selfishly treating this as *his* tragedy, despite hypocritically telling the boys that they would deal with this "as a family". But Clark has mostly been focused on his own feelings and neglecting the fact that the boys are scared. Jonathan was absolutely right calling Clark out on it, and reminding him of what happened to his parents. If you go rewatch, Clark was too much of a coward to even make it through Jonathan Kent's funeral. He left his mother standing there alone because he couldn't handle it. Now he's doing the same to the boys.

Yup don't know why the writers aren't doing anything about it. Maybe they want like 8 seasons and this all set up for 5th season plotline😂. I mean they clearly acknowledge the problem in the last episode. But they also aren't addressing it properly either. It's funny, people still want jon to get powers. Clark kind of needs to fix the father-son thing *NOW* before Jonathan hits 18 and it becomes an adult relationship problem. Both Lois and Clark seem to be oblivious to the fact that they can't play the "because I said so!" parenting game for much longer. Sam would be *thrilled* if one or both boys joined the Army at 18. But Clark (and Lois) would *hate* it because that whole civilian thing goes both ways and they wouldn't be able to give parental orders to them once they're officially soldiers.

Superman can't really get human diseases due to his Kryptonian immune system. The closest Superman stories to him having human diseases that I can think of are the All Star Superman storyline and the death of the new 52 Superman storyline, and in those stories Superman was dying due to specific conditions being met that damaged his Kryptonian immune system and physiology.
In Smallville was dying due to a Kriptonian pathogen, but, actually (like in the previous reply) he can't catch a human disease due to his Kriptonian phisiology and inmune system.
