I can't listen to Bradda Iz without tears. So blessed to get to see the the Sons, with Skippy, in Hilo in the 70s, before he passed. Those two blalas=a ton of pure Hawaiian aloha! I so miss Bradda Iz, though he's not truly gone from us. And almost 50 years later--I still stay hea~~Big Island! God bless these sacred isles forever.
What a wonderful arrangement of this wonderful assuring song of faith. Iz's voice and power to bless us lives on and we celebrate his remarkable talent and enjoy it!
Something happened, and now I know, He touched me and made me whole. Thank You Jesus. Lovely song, God bless you brothers, see you at home. What a day of rejoicing it will be! 😊 💗
From the first time I went to Hawaii. Makah Sons of Ni'ihau touched me. In the 80's , I had their tapes. Then in 2007 I got IZ's CD's, and IZ sang at my Auntie's wedding. Aloha, comes with them. I am a Canadian. And they are part of the essence of Ohana.
Lonobird, mahalo nui for sharing this classic himeni. As a child I have great memories of the Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau from the 70's in Nanakuli @ Faith, Hope & Charity missin on Kawa'o Avenue. God Bless.

There're some people whose souls are so dark that they'll give a thumbs down (or worse) to anything that even mentions God, Jesus, or spirit. By that standard they even hate themselves because God is in everything.
Can I use this for a video I am making? The video is an outreach we did here in hawaii. The video is not to make money just to keep memories and this song is perfect for it
I received salvation in 1986 and this song just fits me ,i have sung this song and have seen people come to Jesus it has a deep meaning for those who have got to know Jesus .God bless you all
I was thinking of God when I started listening to this song. Previous comments talked about how IZ touched everyone...he certainly "touched" me. ROBERT DO you know if all of the sons here in this group were all true born of GOD CHRISTIANS ,that had a personal relationship with the LORD JESUS CHRIST ? OR did they eventually receive HIM later , besides ISRAEL?
Aloha to you Joseph James Manus !!! I know they are all from Waianae--Nanakuli area but in terms of their Christian conversion; I don't really know exactly when they became true born of God Christians. Maybe you could ask those who are still living~~~they might be willing to tell you. Take care and God bless you !!! Robert Oct. 18, 2020.

Remember listening to them perform at sunday jams in Maile in 1976. I have all their music in one form or another. They came along at the right time, reigniting Hawaiiana in the locals.
I was so happy to hear that before Israel passed, he gave his heart to the Lord. :)

Such a great statement of faith. When they recorded this, they were all present. In the years since, most of them have gone home to be with the Lord.
I remember them singing for our church... God bless Makaha Sons...
Thank Jesus, he touched Israel and his buddies. God bless! Makaha Sons is a very fabulous band.
Since I met this pleasant Savior, Since he cleansed and made whole, I can never cease to praise Him. I'll shout it as eternity rolls.
Were they all born-again Christians? I see the joy of Christ in their smiles--all of their smiles. An honorable testimony.
Something happened, and now I know, He touched me and made me whole. Thank You Jesus. Lovely song, God bless you brothers, see you at home. What a day of rejoicing it will be! 😊 💗
