The Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau will go down in history as the Greatest Authentic Hawaiian Music Group of all time! Their wonderful tight harmonies and musicianship are the standard by which all future groups will be measured. Thank God IZ lived long enough to deliver his groups recordings as they are highly treasured in my personal music library!!. Aloha and Mahalo God Bless...
I can not stop playing this video. You go off and do something else for a few weeks then you want to come back to hear it again. Is it just me? The Makaha sons had talent.
I just love Isreal K. - IZ’s music. I have cancer and let me tell you his music calm’s me, truly! In fact I was in Hawaii last October to visit his statue. I was a little disappointed that Israel’s statue was so small and his face so solemn. Planning to visit this year and I so hope I will here more of his music playing on the radio, also went to Duke’s Restaurant “ loved Dukes” but again I had to request his music. Too me he is HAWAII. Spread the word the younger generation doesn’t seem to NO him. So sad. I hope someday they will make a movie of his life. Love, love, Isreal “IZ” I have listened to his music day after day at times.

Powerhouse group! Wish they had been more nationally recognized, its my understanding it was due to physically being unable to travel? These guys are and always will be the most amazing Hawaiin group I've ever heard. 😊
First attended a Hawaiian Luau in 1999 at CU Boulder. The music, culture, food and spirit overwhelmed me then. I got online and discovered Bruddah IZ. Love the older songs from Makaha Sons, great sound, harmony, Aloha spirit etc.
