You know they opened for The Rolling Stones. Performed on Kimmel, Colbert and cbs morning, sold out coachella, bonnaroo, and outside lands and this album is already in the top 20 pop billboard charts. Point is, they hit big some time ago. They deserve it for sure
Just Gracie, launching herself off a desk on a riser and nailing the landing in 3 inch heels while not skipping a beat or missing a note. She is the QUEEN!!
What's really peculiar is that I'm pretty sure the only drums I'm hearing are him. Lawrence's drummer appears to be on mute. Not sure why they did that.
If you’re new to the family business, welcome! I’d suggest listening to any of the songs off of their new album before going into backlog, then acoustic-ish versions-much more live, stripped down versions of their songs. They have some songs from this latest album (Whatcha Want, 23, Guy I Used to Be, and I’m Confident I’m Insecure) and some from older albums (Don’t Lose Sight-probably their most popular song after it was used in a commercial, I believe…?, The Weather, and Freckles).
Dear Lorne Michaels, I hope you were listening. SNL desperately needs this kind of live performance again, not just a live vocal buried in a mix with an album track.
Or Springsteen. E Street Band is one of the tightest bands I’ve ever seen, but the core members have a few hundred years of total experience playing together. Lawrence is every bit as tight, and they’re not even a decade out of college.
Clyde Lawrence wrote the theme song to Miss Congeniality at 5 years old. Gracie (his sister) sang it in a demo video. It is adorable (look it up). These two people were born to do this. We are lucky to be alive to witness it.

Hotel TV is AMAZING-that’s about when I came in the fandom thanks to “Don’t Lose Sight”. I love the last song on that album-Figure it Out. It just (literally) ties all the songs together so perfectly! And I’d recommend the Live, more stripped down acoustic-ish versions of their songs as well-Guy I Used to Be, Whatcha Want, and 23 in particular.
