Greatest IPad to date. I have the 2018 12.9 and tried this M1 chip 2021 version. It is slicker, faster and with Apple Pencil 2 and magic keyboard made me very jealous. So much so I’m giving my 2018 pro to my wife and buying this as it works so much better for Miro and my mind map apps.
I got the 11” iPad Pro and thinking of returning for the 12.9”. Everyone complaining about how big and not good portability wise. The iPad is going to replace my laptop and I will occasionally use it away from home. I know it’s bigger but can it still be used away from home and be portable?
I got 11” too and thinking about should I return it or not. I really wish 12.9 size, but I’m scaries it will be too big to use it like a tablet without keyboard. And I prefer to use iPad just with virtual on screen keyboard. Usually I play games on it, watching movies, but I also want to try to work on it. Did you returned your 11 or you keep it? I really like sound and image quality on 11”, but after watching all this video about 12.9 I feel like I missing a lot without newest mini led screen and better and louder sound on 12.9
@@nathaniel8413 I got Magic Keyaboard for my 11" iPad and with magic keyboard its weight a lot. I'm happy I got 11, it suits in any small bag, very portable and comfortable, I really like it now. It's just like small Netbook for internet browsing / light working/ gaming. And about 12.9 size it too big for tablet, and bad for laptop replacement because of file management and its weight and size with keyboard. I think for 13" device MacBook Air much better - it's cheaper, less weight with keyboard, good file management and support any apps. And much much longer battery life on MacBook Air.
I like the Stormtrooper look of the gray iPad and white keyboard. Nice to see more and more videos coming out with this combination. In the beginning it was just silver and white.
💯 I also use it as a second display for my mbp. I prefer having the original Liquid Retina on my iPad so I can look at both screens and have them look the same. If I got the 12.9” iPad Pro I would have a problem with my MacBookpro having less contrast than my iPad…. So to keep my set up clean I went with the 11” .

I love your videos! Just ordered the pro, but the 11” model in 128. I’m awaiting shipping and excited! I exchanged my iPad Air 4, which I loved, but I wanted the pro. I could only afford the 128gb version, and I’m hoping it’ll be enough storage. I don’t do video work, just some Lightroom photo editing, some light procreate drawing, writing, games and streaming. My previous iPad was the 256gb air, and it had a ton of apps, bunch of games, and a LOT of photos and I only used like 60 gigs or so, so fingers crossed I’ll be fine at 128. They need to offer the air in 128. Glad it was available for the pro. Thanks again for all these great reviews, I’m super excited!

As the Apple pencil is always charging with the ipad pro , will it not affect the pencil battery performance ? . .Will the apple pencil still charge when the magic keyboard is closed ? .. I was considering getting the 12.9 but i think the 11 inch iPad was good for my needs since i want it to be portable enough but still be good for art and movie watching
With the decrease of the bezel size it makes the 12.9 more manageable, can't imagine holding the old 12.9. Niki holding up the 12.9 in seal position, what a beast.
great video Nikias, I'd my personal opinion (having a MacBook Pro and iPad Pro 11") the MacBook is better at multitasking since it can open as many windows, desk and apps as you want also it can do all the things I need for my job but is not as fun as the Ipad. on the other hand, I have the iPad which brings me joy when using it, because of its portable design, amazing image quality, tactile screen, and the possibility to play more games but when I get to the point when I need to get stuffed done for my job, the iPad lacks its operative system. because I use chrome to work and as of right now chrome is not optimized as a desktop app for the iPad also, the trackpad on the magic keyboard is too small and uncomfortable. so in the end, I will always prefer my MacBook to get my main things done and my iPad to do all the stuff that I do for fun. hope in the future apple makes a better trackpad for the iPad and gives it a better OS because in my opinion iPad is the future.

@@venusbhatia check FB and instagram if there are 2nd hand ipad pros or other ipad models in your country. Most countries have many 2nd hand apple products online...just check its serial number and enter to Apple website to check if it's legit. And other things to check too.
How's it been holding up, still can't decide what to get. Been watching lots of reviews about how 12.9 is too big which makes me worried, but the big screen looks gorgeous to me. And ik the 11 is more portable. So i dont really want to regret my descision
@@ibrahim3348 I just love it. Ive been using it everyday. I normally do multitasking works on my iPad so 12.9 is perfect for me and it’s not that heavy. Only downside is I don’t need a Pro but iPad Air doesn’t come with 12.9 that’s why I had to pay extra for pro.

Hi, Which one did you got, and what’s your opinion on it? Since, your usage is kinda similar to me, I also want to use it for Reading, Social Media, Multimedia Consumption. Do not want to use an External Keyboard. Just want to use it as a Tablet. Planning to Buy 12.9” due to it’s larger screen size, also Stage Manager is a Plus Point, which might not be much useful on 11” model.

i wouldnt mind if they added an extra mm of thickness to the next pro and added a MASSIVE battery. its of course very nice being so thin for its monster size but im sure that adding an extra mm of thickness or even 2mm would make no difference to the functionality of the pro. its still huge and heavy either way.
Not yet. Wait after WWDC and when ipad os 15 is available...the app limit will probably be increased from 5GB to 7GB since 1 GB ram is for system. Previous ipad pros have 6gb ram and the m1 ipad pros have 8gb ram and 16gb ram. Most apps and games are still not optimised for m1 ipad pros and games are still better now in previous gens and editing export time is almost the same as of now.
I feel like Apple is slowly merging IPadOS and MacOS gradually starting from hardware, processor and apps. The only problem is what will be the final form factor
