If you really want to fix the housing crisis - ban negative gearing - put the capital gains tax back were it was before howard halved it and put a tax on vacant "holiday homes"! There's enough homes if you stop people from owning more than one!

The Australian that struggles in a damn job to pay off a hyper inflated house loan will be all the more loyal to a politician to secure their investment by keeping prices high by reducing supply and increasing demand. Australian politics and economy is broken and I don't see change whiles these circumstances continue.
