Great video Jacob. Best tutorial I've seen from a pro not beating around the bush. Thank you and good luck out there next year. I'm a new fan pulling for ya.
You should be proud of your skills with the scope. Anyone who has ever actually tried using it knows just how much time you have put in to learning it to make it look that easy. Thanks for the tips
@@rogermoore3270what’s really sad is half these folks probably have tried it by now but thought you just dropped the trolling motor and caught fish but now realize they never knew how to find fish to begin with 😂
I don't think anyone is a hater on FFS anymore. I think some people (older anglers/people who have been fishing for 15+ years) don't like how it closes the skill gap so quickly. I'm no hater it's frustrating because it is always in the back of my mind when fishing a tournament if I should slide out and throw a minnow around or keep doing what I'm doing....
Went bank fishing today with the Berkeley 3 inch minnow and a 1/8 oz jig and caught 30 hybrid bass and 4 largemouth bass, best record yet, couldn’t have asked for a better fishing day then today plus it was cloudy and 50 degree weather, I was in the right spot today lol
I throw a jigging spoon on 20# line here in Texas, it seems to work as well as the minnow (for me) and it's faster. I just have to find them and then figure out what kind of wiggle they want. Over the weekend they wanted it fished as aggressively as I could. I'd rather crank them but they weren't having that, so since I hate catching them I switched and caught'em.
Agreed! I have been looking for a good one since I just got my FFS and waiting for just a little warmer weather so I can try it out and so far this is the best one I have seen.
Great video Jacob, and I think its awesome that you are taking time to share some tricks of the trade with us weekend warriors. Your videos are getting better and better. Hope to catch you again sometime soon around Fish Tails, I have some pics of some of my recent catches from some locations you shared with me. I look forward to following you again this year, you're my favorite pro to follow.
I’d love to see a video of how you find those spotties, is it drop the scope and go on a good looking area? Or is it scan around with SI and DI until you find bait. Anyways I always love to see these videos that show the screen keep it up man👊
A lot of idling around looking for bait in the side and down scan and the dropping the trolling motor and seeing if there are any bass around! Most of the time there is if you find bait!
So I can get them all to follow and they'll be hot on the bait, but I struggle to get them to commit. What is your advise on getting them to eat it? Cant figure out if I got the wrong color or if it's my technique. It's been a struggle since I started this journey.
I don’t mind minnow shaking. I just don’t want to look at a screen all day. I do that already 5 days a week! If you’re doing tourneys like you then you got to be good at FFS, it’s a big advantage.
I'm interesting in your tm setup. Where do you mount the scope on the shaft. Which mount do you use. Do tweak the angle a click up or down and if so when. Appreciate the info and congrats on all your sucess. You definitely are one of the best.
Same skillset as kids fishing in the trout pond at the fair. Congratulations 🎉..and if you haven’t tried it dont coment🙄😒..or if you are too poor to pay the 10 dollar fee to fish the kiddie pond just admit you are poor. There saved the scopers the trouble typing
Iisa the days of the greats who knew where to find them and how to catch them based on skill! The fans hate watching them stare at a screen all day! It's not exciting and explosive like it used to be!! It's all about the money, so most need this to compete, so I get it
You seem much more comfortable in front of the camera, showing your personality, than when you first started RUclips. Awesome video!
Great video, I never would have thought to shake a minnow that freakin fast!
Jacob, it’s really great to see your personality now! You are a great teacher!
Love reading your comments. Keep it up!!!! Most people are clueless about FF sonar
Great intro!! You’re getting better and this is the perfect content for right now on TX lakes
You do make it look easy. I’ve had livescope 2 years and it’s just casting practice for me. Good luck next year.

So far this is the best tutorial I've seen on this technique, which is remarkable considering how popular it's been. Thank you!

Buddy got the trap beats in the intro
Merry christmas.
I seen that hybrid Hunter laying there. Learn to utilize that! I feel like they catch bigger fish and a utility lure

What Garmin graph are you using to run the NBT?
Would love to know where the spots are that good in tn. Center hill maybe????

Thanks man, I just got my FFS and needed a video like this to give a starting point so I have some ide awhat to do.
Awesome vid. Not easy to land on moving fish that deep and in that wind. Nicely done.
Very informative Jacob . Thanks
That new intro sounds like it should have a loose license plate and a bag of cans in the trunk 😂
wtf are you talking about?
you apparently don’t understand urban culture. Essentially the bass is cranked way tf up.
@@jacobfoutzfishing you really don’t have to get an attitude with one of your “fans”.

Anyone with the name beavis should stay outta the comment section.
If you don’t plan on casting at fish deeper than say 40 why not run depth at 50 or 45
Hey Jacob I’ve got a question for you and I hope you will answer this question were you a competitive angler before you got FFS
College National Championship, Classic Bracket Winner, 4 BFL wins. Yeah. 4 Top tens on the Elite Series. Yeah I’d say I was.

Jacob has always been a great angler! He has the track record to prove it! I wish you continued success in 2025 Jacob.
