As someone who's considering trying to play volleyball and know absolutely nothing about it nor have I watched any games, learning most of my limited information from Haikyuu, I can recognise the obvious talent and undeniable skill of the team in white's Libero.
2 really good games! hopefully we get to see them go at it in the big west championship. Feel like Hawaii could’ve won if dimi and hakas showed but ehh kudos to Long Beach 👏
Long beach's no. 23 and libero really shone in this match. 23 really gave off the feel of a reliable ace and the libero was able to save some impossible balls. The connecting capability of this team reminds me of Nekoma .-.
23 will likely be NCAA player of the year.. Long Beach was very lucky to get him. He is a freshman. They wouldn't be nearly as good without him. The LBSU libero is one of the top 2 liberos in the NCAAs imo. Him and PaxSon on USC stand out.
I was here last night on Hawaiis side. We went with my club and we took up 5 rows. Most of us wanted Hawaii to win but I wanted Long Beach to win. Edit:I came on the 2nd day
Long Beach's opposite isn't as threatening as the two outsides. I wonder if switching him places with number 23 would make him a better scorer? He used to be an outside in high school anyway, right? Number 23 is a heavy hitter and can kill almost any kind of set too.
CRAZY RIGHT. I was kinda upset with LBS's middles this game. they must have been tired that last set too. Hawaii's middles on the other hand did not disappoint.
Just because there's spin on the ball doesn't mean it's a double. Trend lately has been to let that go. I think hitters pushing/palming the ball is a bigger problem.
@@seanculwell5754 Sunderland and Barnett talked about this during the Olympics.Spin on a set ball doesn't create any advantage for a hitter so unless it's egregious, doubles aren't being called as much.
How long until they have to adjust rules on power tips when players end up being "toooo" good with them. Truly against a slightly open delayed block its so deadly to go down the arms
I live in Hawaii and have been a fan of uh for many years. And I must say our Libero Logan Sharp is hurting me. We need Gage Worsley to teach him a bit
are switch rules different in the states? they didn't swap in any of the sets. Here in AUS we swap sides between every set of the game be it 3 or 5 set games.
Also whenever someone from Hawaii served somebody behind us would distract them. For example when Jakob Tehelle (10) the guy would say he smelled like onions. It was funny Edit:I came on the 2nd day
Theres a lot of raw strength on display here, but almost 0 tactical finesse. A lot of attacks just purely rely on enemy block being too slow or not reading the set at all (the setters dont even really try to mask their set intention). Good athleticism, good strength on serves and spikes, but 0 finesse or tactical creativity by the setters.
you really can't go wrong with 2 of (arguably) the most interesting teams going against each other
Thats true, I cant tell if its 2 teams or 5 teams, but I see the evidence for both
@@lazypictures7131 what?
@@michaelg8841 what indeed
Long Beach's libero is incredible on serve receive.
He is great at getting some digs too. He and Paxon on USC are the two best liberos this year in the NCAAs.
This camera angle is lot better than international volleyball matches.
Two very evenly matched teams. Could have gone either way each set. Nice win for Beach.
YOOOO!! I made it in a video!!! I can see myself in the audience, this game was so fun to watch, loved my first college volleyball game.
The pressure is real! Amazing game!!
YES, my favourite angle with my favourite teams!! Thx moomoocow 🥳🥳
I'm manager and do book for my team so seeing it from this angle is almost like what I see every game and it makes my heart happy
I really gotta give mvp to long beach’s libero here! He was sooooo gooooddd!!
I’m Canadian and a big follower of Canadian volleyball also American and I think he may be the greatest in North America.
@@shawnnetmaker6661 wooowww!! Impressive !!🤩
Long beach libero is Mason Briggs, he's incredible player!
What a fantastic match. Thank you for uploading as always!
I’ve been waiting for them to play each other for a while now 😭 or hawaii vs ucsb
Hawaiʻi vs UCSB is gonna happen at home on the 8th and 9th🥵
2:30 that synchronized attack is deadly

Increíble el nivel de juego, un saludo desde Guanajuato México. Son geniales

Mason Briggs' passes are all dimes. Otherworldly.
didn't this game just happen? this man is speedy

The fact this looks more competitive than pro matches
mason briggs is such a good libero
I got a volleyball tournament in a hour and wanted some analysis; this did the job😌
Thx for the video. Watched on ESPN+ but this is a much better way to watch.
i was watching this game live what a great game
Number 23 had a insanely good game

am i the only one seeing a lot of bad passes from 23?? like at 6:04 yikes, and a few points in the first set too, definitely goofed a bit imo

Very good teams and a good game!
Is there a way to know volleyball schedules? I wanna watch live. Thank you.
NCAA has a schedule of all the teams, look up D1 mens volleyball schedule

these moms saying "double" is hilarious

all i see hella doubles not being called on both sides. long beach’s setter is great, but it seems like they are letting him get away with lots
theyre has been an active effort to call them less in usa for some reason

I wonder why Hawaii is running #7 as the middle blocker. He is not bad by any means, but i think hes a bit undersized.
This is why I like haikyuuu
Whats your camera? And quality in FPS?
Are these games you have to pay for entry or are they free to watch?
Its like they implanted springs in their legs
Mason Briggs has gotten a lot better
7:04 what a setttt😩😩😩😩
9:05 what fell on the floor lmao

Came in the comments to see if anyone knows, still curious.
Anybody have a stream link to be able to watch these games without ESPN+?
Are More first person setting videos coming in the future
