I played against Dillion Klein (#1) on usc last year and that man ten foot over my block and I’m 6 ft 5 so it makes sense why he is starting as a freshman
For people wondering what touch happened at around 11:35 , the setter did BARELY touch the net. If you are on computer pause at 11:37 and press the period to go forward one frame at a time and you will see him BARELY I mean barely move the net down but it was a really good call by the ref to see that.
I’m in 9th grade and I am amazed at these players and their game. I really hope I can get as good as they are in 4 years, if I practice hard enough, I can do it! Yeah!
I remember thinking that too as a freshman, and back then the players in college were so much better than the players now. I was looking at players like Micah Ma'a, Kofi Gyimah, James Shaw, Michael Saeta, Scott Stadick, and several others. Then reality hit...
Slide is not popular at all in the men's game. Hawaii started using their middle a few years ago on the slide and a lot of school uses them to diversify their attack option now.
@@forme3h He's not referring to the slide by itself. The setter jumps while twitching making them believe he's gonna swing on two and gives the middle a free slide with no blockers. So yes insane.
What exactly is considered a hold in volleyball? 3:43 looks like he carried the ball for a decent amount of time. Just curious since I recently started playing volleyball.
@@seattlesportshighlights9046 exactly this. Doubles are also called more leniently on the first touch because you only have so much control when passing a hit. Most of the time if you do a light double on first contact it will be a disadvantage for your own team cause you didn't control the ball properly.
Usually if you contact the ball below chest height and your contact is longer than just the impact it will be a lift. For example you try to push the ball up with two hands when it's level with your stomach that will be lift 99% of the time but also if it's a slow ball and instead of bumping it on impact you end up "throwing" it with your platform. It also all depends on how strict the ref is and what level you play. At the low level only the most extreme examples of a lift will be called as such.
Am I the only one who just roots for whoever is on the same side as he is... And then unconsciously switches over to the other team whenever they swap? just me? maybe...
i thought the rule though is that you can only do one swap per full cycle of rotation, which is normally for middles. so wouldn’t that be a swap every single rotation?
might be a lift but I don't think do, a lift would be lower, but it might be because of how long it was in his hands and how far back the ball went in his hands
That spinny set at 6:28 was such a flex
agh man that play was so satisfying
Awesome play,,never seen like this before
DOesnt seemlike a flex because he does it multiple times I think it just throws the other team off
The little twirly bird set at 6:30 into one of the cleanest slides i've seen. Smooth.
GCU's middle back-set D-ball at 19:45 was imaculate
Really great passing by both teams. It was fun to watch each team run their offenses...
the #23 little redemption arc from 13:20 into the next 3 plays, he was right back into it
smart play from the setter to set him and get him going
2:30 it looked like the outside hitter jumped too early but he's just built different
Could’ve been expecting a tempo set rather than a 4, but he got MAD hops to make up for it
definitely early, but also definitely built different. he jumped high af

I was gonna say this is my first time seeing him and he looks very good
I mean he was the #1 recruit of his class
Man I really wanna go pro in volleyball as well but I'm 5'6

Barely ?
@@unosumill3 Barely in this case is more relative. Usually a net violation is glaryling obvious. I had to rewatch it to see what even happened.
Yea the net moved
It is disrespectful acting innocent when being caught by the referee.
14:13 they both dived at the same time super satisfyingly
6:30 that set was livid
Nic runs his middles so well it’s amazing
No. 16 from GCU looks like a different breed
18:16 the guy took the time to wipe his hand to be sure not to slip on the ball 🤣
Lol
3:33 - 4:06 rally was insane
19:41 beautiful swing

@@carsonedits2005 Thx

that #16 is insane with his kills!
i was hoping to see a comment like this. kid has bunnies
woow perfect timing i just came home and i found this
GCU setter is very talented
2:31 this dudes knees are above the bottom of the net. That’s crazy
gcu lib is sooo fun to watch when they score
That play at 10:30 was insane.
Hawaii always do the slides🤣

GCU is on a mission this season
numbere 16 on gcu is nuts
In the play at 0:30 the setter pass his whole foot through the line, that's a foul, but the referee didn't see it
3:43 looks like a lift tbh
Cuz it was
0:34 And here the GCU team's heel invaded from below
Cameraman is the best! Very good filming!!
0:34 setter crossed middle line
gcu has the zestiest libero ever
What exactly is considered a hold in volleyball? 3:43 looks like he carried the ball for a decent amount of time. Just curious since I recently started playing volleyball.
It’s called a ‘lift’ in volleyball. Yes i agree with you. Looks like a lift to me, hence the reactions of the crowd
On the team's first touch as long as it's one attempt it doesn't count as a carry/lift

Wow.. what a playing volleyball. So great . Love it
5:07 I thought i was bouta see it irl

7:07 "damn"
Absolute monster pipe attack at 13:02

Set 3 was so hype gg both teams
8:30 soo smooth
16 on gcu is flying bro
7:22 love that from dillon
Right at the beginning, the USC team player invaded from below and the referee didn't see it lol, 0:05
the #7 was insane bro fr
Who in the world is 16 on GCU 😭bros got a Mario jump
Not quite on the same level but 21 on USC can fly pretty good too
dude's flying✈
6:25 best set i've ever seen
Congratulations GCU good luck to the next game and I’m waiting for you in the final keep safe to all of you safe play always👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Damn!! That down ref is FIRE!!
I wish I could jump as high as #16! haha
13:20 was the most middle thing ever
PAC 12 network is so annoying so thank you for this
USC’s blocking is insane
0:32 Clear invasion of the setter xd
19:39 he floated wtf
Insane how patient his arm and swing was, very good player and mechanics
Always wondered how you go to all these games
Same. All I know is he's UC alum. I think UCSB? Either way, my mans travels the country for this and its kinda amazing.
they're just so damn big.
0:33 lol nice setter took the wrong side, and the judge didn't even whistle
WOW, this gamer, son very very good.
We love volleyball here
rico wardlow's serve is crazy good
Gyaaaat
0:35 too easy OVER BLOCK, WTF
His feet were half a foot below the net! Quite the jump
leg behind the line 0:34
.....
4:05 BROOO
1:41 I believe it's because of how one of the black team's player reached.
GCU setters are amazing
Bruh, how can I watch these butter hits when the damn line ref has such a dumptruck
7:30 how are you still in the air to touch that after barely jumping??????
USC dudes legs were over the bottom of the net in the preview pic
my bad GCU dude *
3:43 how do they not call that carry?
On the team's first touch as long as it's one attempt it doesn't count as a carry/lift
@seattlesportshighlights9046 rules are rules but that a clear carry
Bro i have a good reach for my height and age but #16's hopps are crazy
that 2nd offical is baddy ngl
#22 lib for GCU is a whole vibe 💪
do u know why they’re playing two libs for gcu?
@@calebt Yea teams usually play 2 libs because one of the liberos is better at serve receive while the other libero is better at floor defense
you know his @ by any chance?
@@joshprospero oh interesting. so 22 is the defense and the other lib is serve receive?
i thought the rule though is that you can only do one swap per full cycle of rotation, which is normally for middles. so wouldn’t that be a swap every single rotation?
they switch libero at receive and def😳
mighty Thor.. brings down the hammer..
dude insane thumbnail
What's the name of number 16(black)?
That dude has an insane jump
watching this at 60fps at x2 speed is kinda goofy looking
name of the GCU's setter?
Dillon Klein is a ledge. Kid will be an all american
That was a great game but honestly it felt like GCU serves weren't all there in terms of power
2nd ref tho is fye
I can't believe this is free
That ref has mad cake
5:25 заступ у красных почему очко им же дали?

why they so zesty
The booing is so sad
0:53 4 touch?
"Jumperrrrr"
