I lived in Syracuse from 1990-1995, just 2 miles from Carousel Center. I remember visiting it when it first opened. I was just 8 years old at the time and in awe of the size of the place. To my little self, I felt like I was visiting another world. It was always hopping on weekends. I have a lot of fun and happy memories of spending time there with family and friends. It's really disheartening to see the mall looking so quiet and to hear about all of the suicides and shootings since we left Syracuse. I'd rather remember the good times.

We went to that mall way back in 97 when we lived in upstate New York. We were overwhelmed! We went into a few stores and left. We enjoyed great northern mall in Clay much more. I think that mall is closed now.

Yeah. Clay's mall was in decline for while after all of the box stores started to close up shop. They are moving towards making the mall complex into some sort of "upscale apartment center."

Also one of the horse’s on the carousel was stolen so Pyramid management group hired a private investigator for the missing horse apparently was stole by boat to Canada in an empty field wrapped in plastic.
