So, I own PMDG aircraft, and I'm on PC, but I appreciate you showcasing these lesser aircraft. Not all of us are on PCs, and not all of us want study level aircraft. Plus these are a bit cheaper for the folks who want to learn without spending a ton to find out they didn't really enjoy it. Bravo Jonathan!
Worth noting - I'm purposely targeting some of the budget aircraft in Flight Simulator, because not everybody wants to spend a lot of money on study level aircraft - hopefully this guide shows that the cheaper aircraft aren't a million miles away from the PMDG, Fenix, and Leonardo "big jets" :) As noted in the video - you can download my checklist from the following link - ko-fi.com/s/ee486c87ce
It's not a bad fly, I've been flying it for a month or so and enjoyed it, flaps need to be watched but overall some good landings in it
You can make your own custom camera views in the cockpit using ctrl+alt+ ... set the view you want then press ctrl+alt+2 (as an example) then use alt+2 to use it instead of ctrl+2 or whatever the defaults are.
Thanks so much, this is the best in-depth tutorial I have ever found! Just started flying the CS 777-300ER, and now I already know off by heart how to set a flight-plan, start up, and takeoff! (I watched another tutorial for landing and autopilot but you teached the majority)
Thanks for this video Jon. I seem to always mess up VNAV. Had instances when plane would override all the constraints and climb at 7,000 VFM. PMDG works well but the others like 787-10 and 747-8 display a concerning behaviour while climbing. Not realistic at all.
I'm amazed the CaptainSim 777 has VNAV at all.
@@jonbeckett - Not specific to CS777 but have seen unusual behavior even with 787-10 and 747-8.

This is an awesome video thank you! I'm new to flying the 777FE freigbter version for cargo hauls.
One issue I have is when i engage autipilot, my plane doesnt follow the route, i have to manually keep changing the heading... it jus keeps going straight, is it an error of mine or the plane?
I also have to manually change the VS usually thats automatic or have I been flying too much Airbus?😂 thanks
HELLO, this was a great video, and I understood the thorough walkthrough. But when I get to the point where I try to trim the STAB, the STAB keeps falling back down to its original POS. I'm pretty sure I configured the weight correctly. Help if you can thank you :D
What are you using to trim it ? You can map keys or buttons to the elevator trim controls.
I am using key 9 and 10 on my flight stick, for elevator trim up/elevator trim down.@@jonbeckett
Make sure auto trim has been turned off. settings-assistance options-piloting and turn off ai auto trim
is it better to buy if from Marketplace or from the Captain Sim ? Even in marketplace we can see it's from Captain Sim but for future addon's i wanna know where to buy this plane.

Hello Jonathen. Just a question. what mod or addon do you use to get Liveries for the Generic aircraft and please tell me if it has a cost
You don't need a mod on PC - you just download the liveries off the internet (flightsim.to) and put them in your community folder.

The 777-200 I suppose. Right? Should'nt you mention? CS has 3 triple sevens. Other two the 300 and Freighter. Earlier I commented about Garmin.

Hi!! I have a problem with the aircraft B773 ER that bought in the MFS2020 Marketplace.
To init the flight in cold and dark, appear the parasol down in all the windows and I don’t know that do for dissapear it !! The adirs instrument appear like off and not allow turn on it and the last problem is the engines the to the start it, this not turn, please help me

You need battery power to turn on ADIRS. You may have flattened the batteries. The PMDG aircraft remember resource usage. Long click on the MENU button of the FMC, then go to the FS-ACTIONS section and repair/resupply the aircraft :)
Do you know how to insert oceanic waypoint in the FMC? No matter how I try it says not in database. Thanks
You may not be able to. In the PMDG 737 you can add offset waypoints very easily.

Ils on the trent 800 version isn't working, no diamonds nothing, even though i have the mode knob turned on approach

Anyone know how to fix the 3rd party error first time installing it so theirs zero content downloaded it won’t even start in safe mode
what does USR mean? it always messes up the whole plan and it cant be deleated.
There are all manner of bugs in the 777 FMC :)
