This is a very nice fragrance. Safe as well. But I think if everyone starts off in Nasomatto with this fragrance, when they smell the rest of the line they'd be very overwhelm and possible shocked lol! I like it though. Finally a safe fragrance from Nasomatto. Thanks for the first impression man! Happy New Years :)
Smelled this one the other day, but didn't spray on myself; the salesperson was being so pushy, that I scrambled out the door. I'm really starting to go only 'unisex' fragrances like this one... I'll give it a try again.
love this house own several of their scents BARAONDA is my latest acquisition Im on the fence Im not a fan of BOOZY frags so the opening doesnt grab me I like the eventual dry down is warm & woody after BLACK AFGANO DURO & PARDON I expected more JIM from MIAMI BEACH
I love pardon and i have it..I like black afgano but there's somthing stop me from perches a full bottle. ....I'll try this for sure...thanks for the review
Sounds like a great scent. I'll have to check it out. I recently purchased Pardon and am expecting a Black Afgano delivery, tomorrow! Thanks, Sebastian!
As I mentioned in Peter's review, I'm not really sure this one is my style, but it definitely looks like an interesting release, for sure. I still need to order Pardon, Absinthe and Black Afgano one of these days.
*Hey* _Sebastian_ I really like this one. I couldn't wear Kiste , but Baraonda I will. I love it. I actually got a compliment from my sample. It floats around me. I love Black Afgano and Pardon too. SOTD; Imaginary Authors , Cape Heartache. _Best of everything in_ *2017*
Received it yet and I must say it smells very, very, very strong. But it smells like tabacco and smoke 100%. Only for 10 seconds I can smell a boozy scent, but then only tabacco and smoke for 97% or so. After standing for some time in the flat the scents always change their smell. Maybe because of the temperature. I will wait for two weeks or so. I also learned that one has to learn to smell an love all these different scents. It is like learning classical music. It seems to be a longer process.
Sampling this perfume right now, and wanted a side by side comparison to what I was smelling note-wise, and your video was great - very helpful. I really love this scent which is unfortunate because it'll have to go on my wishlist for a future full bottle purchase, ha! I'm getting a wood-aged whiskey accord that is a bit nutty, sweet, creamy not like milk but maybe a coconut note? A strong amount of ambrette seed musk too. Really delicious. Thanks Sebastian!
Nice overall fragrance, a hint of sweet tobacco, but a boozy gourmand overall. Kind of like (oddly enough) some more daring apple ciders I have experienced. That caramelly woods accord is nice. I just sorta assumed, knowing Gualtieri, there must be some spices and a bit of a milder oud in there as well. Still, unlike any other Nasomatto fragrance, seemingly not as daring. Duro and Pardon are my favorites overall, but will definitely continue testing Baraonda in the meantime. Many thanks for sharing your impressions!
I've smelled Nasomatto many times for years, and never realized until now you could take the "artsy" cap off for a standard. I smelled this one at a local shop and I have to say, it was INTOXICATING. No. Really. I don't mean to sound crude when I say this, but there is a serious "carnal" vibe to this one. It reminded me of a Byredo but I'm not sure which one (this is of no help, but worth saying). I could go on and tell the rest of the story as to why I find this one has a "carnal" nature...let's just say I hit on the person showing me the fragrance like never before (and made a complete full of myself)...I couldn't help it, it really was the power of the fragrance. The booziness took over and did something to me, it had me in a strange way. Yes, this is the truth, this one is a must-buy. In my opinion, this is the best Nasomatto yet.
BIG fan of this house own 4 with BLACK AFGANO & DURO as my top 2 you make me want to smell this Im usually not a fan of boozy smells dont like whiskey breath either but your review is intriguing as always thanks for the new info JIM from MIAMI BEACH
Enjoyed the review...I know what you mean about a fragrance smelling 'real'. Would love to experience this one but I don't think it's one I'd need to own. By the way, I think I was able to email you my info for the Gallaghers. If I sent it correctly, let me know, please.
For everyone who is interested in the perfumer of Nasomatto, here is a documentary about him working on Blamage for Nasomatto: vimeo.com/ondemand/thenosefilm
I'm not sure about formal, I guess anything would be formal but personally I can't see this being worn to a black tie event. But anything is possible like I said! :)
I own Pardon.....sorry, I mean "Parrdooonee". Why does everyone say it like that? This new one sounds interesting. Looking forward to trying it. Thanks for the first impression.
Is it Pardon or Pardohne? Either way it's a great scent. But this is not big and bold but very nice and cozy boozy to wear! Thank you for stopping by! :)
Cool vid man.At first I thought it was way to boozy, but it's kinda growing on me.Been giving my sample from lucky scent some runs.Realizing the fruity notes is are well balanced in the dry down with the boozy notes. That opening is crazy boozy though lol.If you can't find the notes, check out Parfumo, they should have it.Peace/Bless
DIfferent for sure than Pure Malt. I get more aged oak smell with the boozy vanilla vs the Mugler certainly has the Mugler DNA. Both great though but this is more niche for sure! :)
Great video Sir. I tried a sample of this from Luckyscent but decided to pass on it. The opening was nice but then that book paper smell hit me & lasted over 8 hours. The book paper smell wasn't bad but by then I was kind of tired of it. Couldn't think of a place where I could wear this. A library?
I think the book smell could be the aged oak barrel smell that this has? It really smells liked aged whiskey or bourbon that it's supposed to smell like! But darn it didn't work for you! :(
The description of the frag said that it was supposed to smell like sitting in a house while looking out the window on a fall day, watching the leaves as fruit is cooking on the stove with a book in your lap. Maybe I was influenced by that imagery but I definitely remember the book smell. Going to give my sample another try. Thanks Sir

I will enjoy Baraonda in fall and winter. Great scent. First spray was a treat. It did put a smile on this face.

I smell also rose here. Like rose in oak cork barrel with leftover cognac)

Thanks for the 1st impression. It's impressive & would like to try it.

Duro performs a lot better than Afgano
I love the cork top.
Love it, definitely wearable and there's a light gourmandish vanilla in the dry down.
I been wanting this one I havnt smelt it but just the description has been on my radar
I really need to get my nose on this it sounds right up my alley
It's certainly boozy!! :)
sounds really great. You always make me want to shop. :)
You can only spray one spray on Black Afgano a wearing how are you on the second bottle I need answers .....
Is it true that the entire Nasomatto line got reformulated & watered down?

Sounds interesting, I haven't tried any from this house. I might have tried black afgano a long time ago but don't remember it.
I love Pardon and Duro. Do you think Baraonda is, at this price point, as brilliant as those two?
BIG fan of this house own 4 with BLACK AFGANO & DURO as my top 2 you make me want to smell this Im usually not a fan of boozy smells dont like whiskey breath either but your review is intriguing as always thanks for the new info JIM from MIAMI BEACH
Great first impressions Seb! Hope all is well:)
Hey Sebastian, would you say this is similar to Single Malt by Kilian? If so, would it be redundant to own both?
This is awesome! I need to get my nose on some Nasomatto frags
You might actually like it! :)
Great review. And yes it is great. Just plain awesomeness 😂 just purchased it. And have no regrets. Pricey 👿 devil.
Blind bought cause Black Afgano is in my Top 3 all time. Booze, a no brainer. Can't wait
Cool! It's not a beast like Black Afgano but smells really nice!!
hows this different from things like bentley intense ?

This juice sounds good..I like boozy fragrances to and its the perfect time of the year to wear boozy fragrances.
Totally I love boozy as well!! Thank you for stopping by! :)
Would you say this can be formal. I'm looking for the ideal formal scent for black tie event.
I'm not sure about formal, I guess anything would be formal but personally I can't see this being worn to a black tie event. But anything is possible like I said! :)
Does Nassamotto make any summer fragrances
If you put just $100 a month in a Roth IRA at age 30 - 60 every month, you will have $1,300,000.00 , or just keep buying fragrances :)
I've got that part taken care of buddy! LOL! ;)
Baraonda my signature. Soooooo nice
do you know if its unisex? Thank you

It sounds great; I'll need to nab a sample!
This kind of sounds like Pure Malt on steroids. What are your thoughts on this?
DIfferent for sure than Pure Malt. I get more aged oak smell with the boozy vanilla vs the Mugler certainly has the Mugler DNA. Both great though but this is more niche for sure! :)
I love Nasomatta
Wondering are u selling your ferragamo uomo
Nope not at this time. I want to hold on to it so I can bash it more! LOL! Kidding but it's mostly decanted!! :)
Now I have to go back to that review again. Love when people bash on a hyped up frag.
Mr. Sebastian, is Baraonda somehow similar to Bentley Intense? :-) Lovely review ;-)
Not quite but could be distant cousins if you know what I mean but they are not quite similar! :)
I find Baraonda so close to Tabac Rose from BDK
Great video Sir. I tried a sample of this from Luckyscent but decided to pass on it. The opening was nice but then that book paper smell hit me & lasted over 8 hours. The book paper smell wasn't bad but by then I was kind of tired of it. Couldn't think of a place where I could wear this. A library?
