Ah, Battle Mountain! My sister lives in Elko and when we'd drive out to see her the highlight of the trip, for the kids, was the huge BM on the hillside overlooking the town. First one to spot it won bragging rights for the rest of the drive!

You went from Battle Mountain to Winnemucca. In 2018, I went from Winnemucca to Battle Mountain, where I turned to head to Vegas via Tonopah, Rachel, and Alamo among other places. That southbound road seemed a lot lonelier to me than 50 had. At times I could see a dozen dust devils hundreds of feet high swirling. I timed it so that I drove through one of them right as it crossed the road. And I can neither confirm nor deny that on or about that day, somewhere in some unnamed jurisdiction,, the rev limiter in my car was hit for the first time. Suddenly and smoothly, it stopped my still pretty decent acceleration, without even a sputter, as if I'd set the cruise control for top speed. It's nice finding roads where you can see whether there are any cars between yourself and a distant horizon, and the answer usually comes up "no". From your previous videos, apparently I zoomed past some inconspicuous turnoffs to hot springs and other neat stuff! Revisiting with a more open itinerary will be fun.

Well ,she was mostly right, and he should have listened. Hello Wonderhussey, we had a chance to go up and visit Bridgeport, Ca around the end of August. We got to stay at a Log cabin house on about 700 acres. It was totally awesome. Of course, we went to Lee Vining and got our Mobil Hats like yours and we did look for you at some of the gas stations we stopped at, but I think you had already headed up to Oregon. Saw on some show that dragon flies were on earth millions of years BEFORE dinosaurs and birds! They've seen dinos come and go and survived the big rock that caused an extinction event. Wow, these guys have got some real staying power! Oops, apparently this little guy got his wings a bit too low, or his landing gear failed, or too much drag or not enough fly in dragon fly!

Where I worked as a Sec Guard one time in Austin TX, there were wooded paths between buildings I would walk instead of driving, needless to say I stumbled upon a few snakes, so my 1st round in my .357 was a shot-shell just in case the snake decided to take offense at my presence< I never needed to shoot one, but bunny rabbits were on the menu...

Yeah, I hear you about wanting to save your lungs. 1 1/2 years ago on Father's day I had to go to the ER. I almost died. I got a fungus pneumonia that turned to the MAC Disease which was eating my lungs from the inside out. It caused Afib with it getting into the blood stream. So for 9 months I was taking 10 super heavy duty Antibiotics that my 5 doctors said I was going to have it worse than anyone on Chemotherapy. So, Yes your lungs are important. Than for 3 months the doctors cut down to still 10 Antibiotics but instead of 7 days a week they went to 3 days a week. Still rough but now I am suppose to be healed.
The next time you are in Elko you need to head north to the old mining town of Tuscarora where there is a sort of kiosk dedicated to the Mormon cricket. 🦗 I think you would find Tuscarora quite interesting as well.
You only need to pin him to a piece of foam core, in the position you want him and set him to dry.. get a small shadow box frame to put him in once dry.. really doesn't need sprayed with anything..
Agree that Battle Mountain is a dump. Spent the night there on my way down to Az. Didn’t sleep a wink listening to the trains all night. Make the trip twice a year and will never crash there again.

That is a female damsel fly. She, if she were alive would store her wings straight out from her body as well as use them in flight that way. The male dragon fly is smaller an folds an stores his wings straight back along the top of his body then extends them out for flight. FYI. Love your videos.

actually methane is odorless, is the sulfur compounds that stink,especially hydrogen sulfide.

That is a female damsel fly. She, if she were alive would store her wings straight out from her body as well as use them in flight that way. The male dragon fly is smaller an folds an stores his wings straight back along the top of his body then extends them out for flight. FYI. Love your videos.
Aquanet works for spraying things like your dragonfly buddy and dry flowers too. It's a cheap hack anyway.
