Just for Movie Making Trivia ; The area of Westlake, East Thousand Oaks and Agoura Hills on both sides of 101 (Ventura Fwy) back in the 1960's used to be open land and they had Texas Longhorn cattle grazing there for the movies ! At the same time, Dean Martin had a ranch on the road they filmed on , in your video around 4:30-4:50.
Hi Jordan & Amy, what great attention to detail you've done for this vlog. Amy looks lovely as usual. I never knew Elvis did his own stunts for this. Beautiful scenery again on this location aswell. Barbara Stanwyck, what a professional actress, and she didn't suffer fools gladly. I hope they get those fences fixed for those poor horses. Great vlog Jordan.
I live within jogging distance of your vlog and often run along Potrero as part of my routine. You're also very, very, near quite a few Dukes of Hazzard/ 'General Lee' filming sites. An unknown number of movies, clips, and screenshots were made in this area.
Elvis movies are the BEST! Always simple and fun. Beautiful locations for "Roustabout." Cool that so much of the scenery is still there and looks pretty much the same. Thanks for sharing, Jordan. Excellent vlog, as always.
Great vlog. I feel sorry for the poor horse. Loosing his eye. They need to fix that fence. Thanks for the lovely vlog. stay safe, take care and God bless.
I can understand Elvis wanting to work with Barbara Stanwyck. She was one of the best actresses in Hollywood. Although it's not an Oscar-worthy film, it's still one of my favourites. Thank you for finding these locations and vlogging them for us, Jordan!
Always love the back stories about the films and the film locations. So nice to see that these film locations haven’t changed since the movies were made. I was just a toddler when the film came out. Need to find it and watch it. That poor horse losing an eye from that fence. That part of the fence needs to be fixed. Love seeing Jah. Thank you for another great vlog. God bless you and Jah and always keep you safe and protected.
I will have to watch this movie 🎥 again it’s been years since I seen it, Love Elvis!!! 2 of my favorite movies of his is Girls, Girls, Girls & Blue Hawaii I Like Viva Las Vegas also. Great Vlog!! Jordan 🦁 Jah 💙🐾🐾💙🐾🐾💙

Love Elvis...This was such an exciting video to watch. I loved how you matched up all the movie filming locations...Fantastic Jordan! Anything to do with Elvis and I'm hooked! Nice to see the lovely Miss Amy on this one. I'd be right there with her making friends with the horses. Thanks for another good video, Jordan.
Well ... you know what's Fun?? Roustabout... that's what's fun! A kinda a new style for Elvis Presley, he actually got a bit of acting to do with some serious actors barbera stanwyck.." if my friends cant stay, well neither can I". I remember that controversy. Thanks again Jordan..
Hi Jordan you force me to watch a movie again you realize you are very influential! Kidding aside your specialty rises again great job ! Loved every minute Barbra Stanwyck my favorite old time actress !!
Bravo Jordan..... My all time favorite vlogs on Elvis. I'm 68 years old and have been a huge fan since I was about 11 or 12. I really enjoyed this vlog and thank you for your input about Elvis. You have a great day. Love and Light and God Bless you. Nada...TCB
One of my favorite Elvis movies. I just watched this, and A Change of Habit over the weekend. A young Teri Garr danced in Roustabout, and several other Elvis movies.
Up until quite recently, the ferris wheel used in Roustabout was here in South Australia, at a beach side "amusement park". It came to Australia after having been in Hawaii for some time.
Another great video, Jordan. Love your Elvis stuff. If you look close, you'll also often see in Elvis film credits, The Colonel billed as "Technical Advisor." Technical Advisor of what?.. I have no clue, other than another way for The Colonel to grab more $$ for himself.
I have completely forgotten about this movie. Whenever they used to show Elvis movies on TV this was when they never showed very often if it all. The shooting locations look almost the same. Thanks for the journey. Hi Amy it's nice to see you as always.
I've been waiting for this one since I received the sunglasses! One of your best movie location vlogs with interesting bits of Elvis insight-loved his comment about the band. Love Elvis. Thanks Jordan😎
@@DazewithJordantheLion Sorry to hear that. She is so pretty and has a great smile, and your handsome with a great smile too! You two seemed good together. But what do I know.
Jordan You Never Let Me Down! I have watched almost every one of your vlogs and I must say that you are my absolute favorite! Everything that you vlog is something that I am very interested in. I wish I could choose a favorite but I can't so I'm just going to go ahead and say that they're all my favorites! Thank you for all your time and hard work you put into this and I am looking forward to many more in the future! Have a happy New Year!!
This was great to see how the area was practically the same, and I really enjoy it when you do these film locations. Just wanted to tell Amy, that it was always a pleasure to see her on your vlog, I love her sense of humor and playfulness and just hope all the best for both of you!
Lots of Honda Car commercials filmed there. That's Rupert Murdoch's ranch. I was there one day as they were loading his pristine 50's Mercedes Gullwing onto an auto hauler when the ramp broke. Damaged the front end, bumpers, fenders lights etc. All those replacement parts including the exact paint was still available from Benz.
I worked on a film at Murdochs ranch in the early 90's and grew up in Agoura. I always wondered who owned that gullwing, I'd seen it around Westlake a couple of times, but never close enough to see who was driving it.
That’s awesome Jordan . One of my earliest memories was my dad having the Roustabout soundtrack on vinyl and the colours of it standing out . A great Elvis movie and an insightful Vlog 😀
Excellent my friend! Loved it! The Jordinaires and The col were in the credits in almost every movie if not every movie. The motorcycle I believe is a Honda Superhawk 63/64.
Great vlog as always Jordan love watching your channel. Doesn't look like the Location has changed that much. That was a great Elvis movie. I always wondered if Tom Parker had anything to do with the movie being around a carnival since he used to work in the carnivals himself. Hope that maybe you'll do more Elvis movie locations vlogs in the future. Take care buddy.
You really did your homework on this movie history..bravo!!! I have watched this movie 30 yrs ago~I am always so amazed and find it interesting all the places you take us 😁
Great topic, always wondered if a young Barbara Stanwyck would have won the heart of Elvis; she was especially entrancing on the screen in her 20s/30s.
Barbara Stanwyck was also entrancing in her older years, she had a four year affair with Robert Wagner ! When he was young, if Barbara wanted to, she would have rocked Elvis's world !!!
amazing. I love that Elvis movie. Thankyou for sharing that with us . .i hope you get to do heaps more Elvis movie locations. I love Stay Away Joe that was filmed In Sedona, Arizona. On my bucket list to go there.. love your channel . Love Jah He is so cute. Thankyou again for a great channel . Have a great week . Look forward to seing more of your adventures.
Great detective work finding this location, so many things have been untouched ❤ good to see they have some common sense keeping Elvis related movie locations. LOL Thank You
Speaking of Pat Buttram. I found a clip on RUclips years ago. I believe it was from the 1980's Gary Collins daily afternoon talk show. It was a reunion of the cast of Green Acres. Mr. Buttram revealed that he based the character of Mr. Haney on Colonel Parker. Mr. Buttram and Mr. Parker met each other as entry level carnies in the southeastern United States. They developed a lifelong friendship. They used this experience to climb the ladder to achieve a strong foothold in the entertainment business.
Well you did it again ! Took me to a place I would never know or see ! All very interesting ! Lots of cool details ! You told it all so well ! And threw in Amy !
Okay, don’t judge me. 😊 I have never seen an Elvis movie. However, your filming location videos are always so fun, extremely well-dine, and I see all the work out into them that you inspire me to watch or rewatch the movies. I am looking into options for viewing this later today. Thank you for another great vlog!
What a fun vlog, and you're always so full of detail and knowledge. Thank you Jordan for allowing me to escape for a moment before I head out to the funeral home to say goodbye to my husband. I will catch up with your other vlogs that I missed this weekend.
I would have thought you would have known that through out Elvis' career he often sang with the jordanaires, they also appear on some of his recordings.
Thanks for the fun filled fact video you did today. It was nice to see you and Amy together. But we understand you have to do what you need to do. Hope the new place you moved to will give you and Jah some fun times together. We do enjoy your videos because you just don't do these videos to do you have great facts and knowledge that goes along with it. That is why we starting watching you for the first time we saw you
Very good, I love this movie. And I love the scene of the Ferris wheel the last time I went to an amusement park with my boyfriend I asked him to sing the song, to make me feel in the movie Roustabout, and we laughed a lot because he changed the rhythm with the other song Wonderful World, from the movie Live a Little, love a little .. Lol
Awesome great upload. This is gold. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this (and watch it over and over again). Lots of interesting new info for me. Roustabout is also one of my favorite movies of Elvis (with great songs too) but then I luv all of Elvis movies no matter what criticisms given to his 'silly' movies. Keep up the good work which is definitely appreciated by all Elvis fans I'm sure. Amy is just lovely. Jah is so cute. Safe travels, take care and God bless.
Only an Elvis fan can get excited about finding 'the tree' from one of his movie. We can relate. Good stuff.
Very interesting brilliant bless didn't know Elvis hurt his eye. Good Elvis history thank you
Thank you so much for showing the locations of this king classic
Great filming location. Doesn't seem much has changed since the 60s. I have to go back an re-watch the movie now! Thanks for sharing Jordan!
